This was the second time I've gone to Victor's to have them repair my shoes, and the heel I went to get fixed I wasn't sure they could get done. Attached is the photo; it's a heel with a wrap around strap attached only on the outer side and their craftsman was able to secure it and make both shoes fit perfectly! The job was perfectly in my price range ($30) when I had no clue what the job would have cost in general. First of all I was promised a rubber heel instead I got some cheap plastic that does not even match my shoes, the heel caps should have been black. I was relieved to find Victor's Shoe Repair as I have a DaKine wet/dry backpack whose stretch strap busted from its stitching while hiking a couple of Summers ago on Kauai. It was a minor inconvenience to not have the strap work but it bugged me and I really wanted to salvage this pack. I took a different pack to the island last year and it just wasnt as solid. This backpack also has a wetsuit pocket which I've always loved for storing still damp boardshorts and rash guards. All in all, this is my go-to backpack for travel to the islands and for beach days. I took my bag to Victor's one morning and Isaac was a real pleasant guy. The price was fair and they ensured me they could address the issue to be able to reattach the strap. I got a text late that afternoon that it was done. Awesome! I drove there after work but they must have just closed. It was no big deal, I came back the next morning before work and picked it up from a friendly and great to deal with young woman. I'm sorry I never got her name. But I appreciated her and Isaac's customer service. They are both great. FYI. The hours posted on Yelp are NOT current. Please call ahead so they can tell you what the current business hours are. The woman told me they are open on every other Saturday now. Street parking out front. She suggested I protect the front of the soles as well and keep these red bottoms fresh. I've taken numerous pairs of shoes to Victor's Shoe Repair over the past decade or so and have always been happy, but today's service was truly exceptional. First thing in the morning, I took a pair of Laduca dance shoes in that needed new linings as the original ones had been torn out. I needed the shoes ASAP - I'm using them in upcoming performances of a show I'm in that opens in just a few days and I need them for rehearsals as well. I was told that they may be ready by Monday - which already was a relatively quick turnaround. However, I got a text saying my shoes were ready for pick up only a few hours later! SAME DAY!
