This has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a doctor's office. To start, I was not at all satisfied with Dr. Jezierski's patient care. On my first visit, x-Rays were taken and nothing abnormal was found in my ankle, so he order an MRI. When I came in for a $175 follow up appointment, I was shown to a dirty exam room. The doctor proceeded to come in and ask me about the boot on my ankle (something I never had). I guess we don't read charts before seeing the patient. Once he realized I was there for my MRI results, he excused himself so he could read the radiologist's report. He never ordered MRI images, strictly went off the report. I paid extra to have my images printed for my own record. Once he determined he wasn't knowledgeable enough about my situation, I decided to get a second opinion. I could have read the report myself and saved the $175. Upon getting that second opinion, it was determined that surgery would be required to remove an extra bone. An extra bone that no one noticed and can typically be seen in an x-ray. My $1,000 MRI wasn't necessary! I've now been trying to get copies of my X-rays for the past month. Every week, the machine has been broken and copies can't be made. Unfortunately, the Xerox printed copies they sent me are useless. What surgeon is going to preform surgery using xeroxed copies??? It enrages me that I've had to pay so much money for such poor service. I wouldn't even give this office 1 star. read more

I had a really great experience at City Podiatry yesterday with the front desk and Dr. Sutera. The young lady at the front desk was welcoming, kind and polite. She was helpful and answered all my insurance questions properly. She was also just nice, which is sometimes hard to find in NYC. Her bedside manner was amazing and she put me at ease right away. I have had a really difficult time with toe nail fungus since I was a kid and I broke a nail really badly the other day. I was really worried about an uncovered nail bed, and Dr. Sutera evaluated my toe and noted that the Keryflex would be a good solution. My nail bed is nice and covered and I can paint it to match my toes! By the end of the appointment, I felt like I was hanging out with my friend who happened to be my Doctor. Looks like I have a new podiatrist to go to at City Podiatry! read more

I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about this footie office! Dr. Weiss and staff are incredibly accommodating - empathetic - sympathetic and moreover KIND! They got me in within 24 hours and were able to assist me with my toenail. It had so many issues from being on my feet, improper footwear, and all around lack of being nice to them. I managed to injure it while digging out the ingrown bit- created a nasty piece of work with a big blister! It was tender and angry. Dr. Weiss was expedient, gentle and aware. He got the blister lanced and sanitized, dressed and happy and made a follow up appointment to sort it out further before I leave on hols! No insurance and reasonable cash payer rates made this office a complete no brainer for getting quick care. Office staff from reception to assistant were so kind and attentive. In and out. Never have I not had to wait an eon before seeing the doctor I was scheduled for! I literally got there, filled out the paperwork and was shown back to an office posthaste. This is what all medical offices should strive to accomplish- add in some amazing and quality manners handling such a delicate topic as ones self and you have a winner. Perfect 5 stars! read more

I had some growth on my toe and I was. so scared. I went to a different place a few yers back, and they didn't do a good job of removing it so it came back. Everyone from this office were so helpful and nice. Dr. Goldstein recommend a surgery and he was so patient with answering all my questions and making me feel comfortable. I had three experiences at City Podiatry. On my first visit, i sat in the waiting room for over an hour, while all these other patients were called in. I understand waiting 15-20 mins, but an hour delay is unacceptable, especially during work hours. I bought a small boot, which didn't help much. Second visit, I was told the doctor might not be coming in because she was sick. Hmmmm. Ok. No phone call to cancel my appointment? Never mind, now she's coming in. Just a weird breakdown of communication at the front desk. On that visit, I upgraded (bought) a larger boot. The boot strap snapped within two weeks. Sweet. Third visit. 9am. They tell me the doctor is not in and my appointment is the following day. No way. I entered it into my phone and confirmed the appt in front of the receptionist at my previous appt. How did they screw this up? They should consider text/email confirmations. ***Update*** The dr personally called me to apologize for what happened. She was very professional and polite and super apologetic. She explains her office manager recently quit, hence the confusion. Felt inclined to update this review. Maybe I was unlucky, but I wasted so much time with this office. The front desk, although pleasant enough, needs to improve communication and scheduling. This review is long overdue. Dr. Richard Goldstein is the best!! I can't highly recommend him enough. He took such amazing care of me. It been over 2 years since I seen him. I had fractured my foot running up the stairs at a gym I work at. I keep working out and teaching on my foot for over 3 years with extreme pain because I had no insurance at the time. When I got insurance he was referred to me by a friend. I went to him the receptionist was nice and friendly. He took xrays and informed me because I waited so long that I needed surgery. I was scared and burst in tears in his office, he comfort me and reassured me it was going to be ok and that I won't be in pain anymore. He also said that he would be doing the surgery. I trusted him and felt I was in good hands. The day before my surgery I got a call from his office saying that the surgical center wasn't going to allow the surgery to happen because of my crappy insurance AETNA. I was mad, but Dr. Goldstein called me personally and said he had another center where he can do the surgery, but it was in NJ and it took my insurance. I was so impressed by this. I got a car service and had the surgery, it was a success. Dr. Goldstein did an outstanding job. He really cares about all his patients. I am 98% pain free, just minor pain cause am still teaching on it. I Dr. Goldstein he seriously is the best out there I wish he could my all around doctor. read more

Pain no more! I went to see Dr. Sutera with some terrible pain in the bottom of my right foot. As an active New Yorker, it was incredibly worrisome. I just don't have time to be out of commission. I was referred to Dr. Sutera (or Dr. Jackie) as I now have come to fondly know her, through a friend. I made my appointment on the phone, showed up on time and was seen on time. The PA took x-rays of my foot and sat me in the room to wait for Dr. Jackie. She was in very shortly and greeted me with a competent yet very warm demeanor. She listened intently, examined my foot and made a temporary orthotic. She then sent me for an MRI. The result of the MRI weren't terrible but not great. Dr. Jackie recommend custom orthotics. She fitted be for them same day and I had them in a think was a couple of weeks. Maybe sooner. After a couple of weeks of wearing the orthotics the pain is gone! Zero. I feel great and get to walk everywhere pain free. When I walked into the office I was at about a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. It's now a zero. Also to note, I take much better care of my feet now. Dr. Jackie explained was the issue was and how to manage it. If you're an active New Yorker and want to stay that way, a trip to Dr. Jackie is in order. read more

The worst experience ever!! I really wanted to like dr. Sutera as she is very nice and has a really good bedside manner, but the truth is I came with a minor case of ingrown nail and 3 surgeries later I had a badly infected toe. Upon my initial visit I told the doctor that my toe nail feels weird (was not hurting, not was it infected) and asked her to fix it as I was going on a vacation in 6 weeks. 3 surgeries later my toe was hurting, infected and much worse then before I came in. When I confronted the doctor, she took no responsibility and said that things can always go wrong. I understand that they could, but then why would you then not advise me to come back and operate my toe AFTER the vacation. Thanks to dr. Sutera I spent half of my vacation in extreme pain. read more

Referred to Dr. Weiss by my rheumatologist. Upon arriving for my appointment, I was told my appointment was with another doctor. I said to them that I would only see Dr. Weiss, to which they would squeeze me in then, and would have to wait an hour to see. I told the receptionist that they were inconsiderate and walked out. I've had ongoing ball-of-foot pain for several months, and two other podiatrists simply put me in a boot, but the pain kept increasing. Dr Jezierski explained the details of my sesamoid fracture, explained how to use the anti-inflammatory, and wrapped my foot in a "soft cast". These three additional actions will make enormous difference to my recovery. My appointment was on time, the staff was on target (I.e., they emailed me the forms si I didn't have to waste time doing it at the office), the X-ray technician was clear and careful. I was looking for a podiatrist last minute for an emergency issue with my toe and stumbled upon City Podiatry. The woman that answered was super kind and understood my urgency and mentioned she could squeeze me in with their best doctor if I could arrive within the hour. I told her absolutely and have had the best experience with Dr. Weiss since. When I say experience I really mean that because I've had 8 visits in the last 6 weeks. The doctor is very patient, explores all options with you and a couple times when I had issues they responded right away after hours and made sure to fit me the next day. It sounds like all the doctors are pretty nice and I really like that they all seem to know what each other's strengths are and have no problem recommending another doctor because they are the "expert" at xyz. Dr. Richard Goldstein is amazing. 2 weeks following foot surgery and zero pain in the past two weeks. He treated my other foot 10 years ago and I was so pleased with him and his care, I would never consider anyone else. Goldstein tells it to you straight. Was looking for a copy of lab report. They were quick to email it with attachment but I needed to get back to office to get a password. Their recording gave me 4 or 5 alternatives. After listening to music for a few minutes it told me to call back and leave a message. Called on all of the alternatives, wasted 10 minutes,. to no avail. Now they overbilled me for services, and when I called to straighten it out, they said they'd talk to my insurance and follow up with me. I have been a patient of Dr Jacqueline Sutera's for over two years and applaud her for professionalism, expertise and caring manner. I discovered her via groupon, thank the lucky day I did, and have been a patient ever since. She happily honored my groupon voucher and I have found the cost of services since then to be very reasonable. While it is true there has been some frustrating administrative/office staff turnover during my time with the practice, everything is running extremely smoothly and efficiently at present. I saw Dr. Goldstein, who diagnosed me with a degenerative condition but was helpful in providing a range of solutions, including some more affordable options, which I appreciated. However, I've never had such a headache sorting out my medical bills after seeing a medical professional. I had 2 appointments in December of 2016, received bills, and worked with the billing group to figure out that I was erroneously charged twice for one x-ray. Once that was sorted out, I received a new bill and paid the balance. This took months to sort out- I didn't receive a corrected bill until September, and I had to spend hours on the phone with my insurance company and the billing company to get to that point. Now (January 2018) I'm still being billed for charges for the same 2 appointments in December 2016, which I've already paid fully! Although Dr. Goldstein was moderately helpful, I'll never go to him again, as I don't want to argue with billing companies for years even once I've settled the balance. read more

The absolute worst experience ever. Walked in with what was essentially an infected boo-boo on my toe. Dr. Richard Goldstein wants to take x-rays. I say no. He says it's important. I say for a boo-boo??? He gives me an anti-biotic cream and a band-aid and sends me on my way. Then he bills the insurance company for over $300!!! and when they don't pay in full he sends me the balance for $146. The only explanation on the bill is the medical code so I call to ask what the code is for. Their answer is to repeat the medical code number, which, of course, tells me nothing. I then start writing letters to ask for the explanation and NEVER get a response. This goes on for 6 months! Then I get a lawyer involved to resolve it. They CASH MY CHECK for the agreed settlement in full amount, and THEN they send me to a collection agency. Now I'm dealing with the agency to get this resolved. Find anyone else to deal with your medical issue and maybe you'll actually find a compassionate doctor. In this office, the only thing you'll find is a money-hungry, bill inflating doctor. read more
