I called Sunday afternoon to schedule a wheelchair van for Monday morning to the hospital, for surgery. On Monday, we went outside early to be ready for its arrival. We became nervous once it was 5 minutes late and I came inside to call and make sure we weren't forgotten. Found a message that the ride had been cancelled. They called 10 minutes before scheduled pick-up. Luckily, Brant Taxi was kind enough to fit us into their busy morning and get us to the hospital just in time. I had tried to apply for a job there and the dispatcher staff had said, "You have to KNOW Brantford for our customers". Having a GPS was apparently not good enough for this company. I spoke to one of their employees in town, and he took one look at me and assumed that I was from China and called me a communist. read more

Well, I can't say I'm very surprised by the only other review that exists for this company. It actually disgusts me that in my time in this city I've probably given this cab company up to a thousand dollars in business. Anyways, I decided to go to Sushi 8 for dinner tonight (mind you, the first time in a year) and I thank god my boyfriend called for me, because I probably wouldn't have heard this gem from the dispatcher when my boyfriend told him our destination: "Oh yeah, we bring Asians up there by the truckload." I wish cab reviews showed up during google searches because I bet all the Chinese exchange students looking for a cab number wouldn't be giving their business to this company otherwise. I'm seriously amazed this company has such a mouth manning their lines considering their notable Asian clientele. I'm not a hard person to please. This is my first Yelp review. I've dealt with a lot of problems from City Cab--long delays, under trained new drivers (including one man who didn't tell me at the start the debit machine was down at 1am, and tried to a) overcharge me when he brought me to the wrong address and didn't stop the meter b) convince me to eat a 3$ ATM transaction at the downtown TD and when I refused c) tried to cart me off to the Lynden Park CIBC), sitting through some really crazy, racist radio shows (the one that came in mind was the dude with his radio tuned to Limbaugh complaining about the Mexicans). Most of these I expect from other cabs (delays, radio, etc) and there have been mostly great experiences (like I said, I've used City A LOT). But this one, singular experience has soured me from this company forever. You should never describe your customer base as 'a truckload of Asians'. If the employers for this company ever decide to look into this (I doubt it) we called at 8:15PM on Oct 15th. Seriously, it just sucks I had to write this. read more

Yesterday my son ( who is 18 ) and I went for a walk to our local shopper's drug mart to pick up somethings with plans to take a taxi home. once getting there I told my son to call a cab when I was in the check out line the taxi arrived very quickly so my son went out and told him I would be a min that's all ( my understanding is there is a 5 min wait time anyways ) the driver becomes upset and turned the meter on after only being there maybe 2 mins the check out line was moving a little slower than expected however still not over the 5 mins ... the drivers yelled to my son and asked why I was not out and told him the meter was running at that time my son decided to tell the driver he was sorry and just to go instead of waiting for more time at that time the driver began to yell at my son telling him he was wasting his time and to F**K off then as he was backing up to drive away called my son a Crack head !! then stopped the car in front of where my son was standing to continue to swear and yell at him !!!! OMG REALLY? my son has had ongoing panic attacks and anxiety problems and thanks to the abusive driver he was in tears and shaking not even able to speak after the driver was done. of course, we called the company to complain but with noting don't only being told to not take that driver again? Umm really this driver should NOT be working with the public it's sad to see the level of rudeness and that the company allows it read more

My morning was spent very unwell. I then came to west brant to get my prescription and attempted to call a taxi. He rudely said computer is backed up, try again in 15 and hung up on me. I called again 20 minutes later as I really just want to get home to my bed and he said yep it's too backed up, call back later thanks and hung up on me again. So 40 minutes in a Tim hortons vomiting and still no answer from them. I've never seen customer service so terrible, at least have the decency to speak to the customer.. numerous occasions I've called and they have been late for time calls, recently the driver was twenty minutes late and then talked about how nobody tips him for half the cab ride and I ended up missing my greyhound to see my sister. Nothing but continual problems and it would be one thing if you at least received an apology or they spoke to you decently or gave good customer service but they treat you horrible without any reimbursement or apology. The drivers get paid next to nothing so you only get the occasional one that is on time or actually likeable. I will not be calling them any further nor will friends of mine that use them for work. Disrespecting people's time or in general disrespect is no way to run a successful business. read more
