The cab companies in Brantford used to be good. The drivers always got out and helped with groceries to the door. Now the east indian drivers wont even get out of the car at all. I guess they dont want a tip because I only tip for drivers that get out of the car to help. read more

I have been taking city taxi for over 10 years and personally really like many of there drivers .. but recently as they got new drivers apparently don't know how to work there meters since one tried to charge me 19 dollars for a short ride that would normally cost 9 dollars another with a different driver missed my turn onto my street and had to go a few blocks turn around and turn onto my street and did not even turn the meter off as it was his mistake both times I complained to the company with no result also I been told multiple time they do not accept debit by a few different drivers when that is not the case as its all over there website and cars . after looking at all happened I noticed all the drivers I had bad experiences with had been east Indian .. now I would like to make this clear I have nothing against these ppl at all I pride myself on thinking of everyone the same and do but to avoid any more problems and keep taking the taxi's I did like I had asked for a not east Indian driver to be sent when I called today and the person that answered the phone at the office call me a racist, hater and rude then hung up on me.. I was totally floored at how rude I was spoken to and even attempted to phone back and explain my reasoning but was spoken to rudely again and hung up on .... perhaps I was wrong to think the customer was able to make this request but I am paying for a service and thinking it should be done to a level of standard is not unreasonable .. what if I requested a woman driver for personal reasons would i be denied ? I once would have recommended city taxi highly but not now I would never take them again since their customer seems to mean so little to them read more

When I first moved to the area ten years ago there was no doubt what taxis service to call, but since City has become deplorable. Wait times I can deal with, this happens especially on certain days but rude dispatches who make you feel you are an imposition for calling, drivers who swear, yell and suggest you leave family members behind is despictable. When you call dispatch and explain you are shopping and have some larger not gigantic items tell you they dont have vans in , on a Saturday...hello busiest day of the week for working people to shop, then send a cabby in a compact car, who speaks little english, is rude, not willing to try to find a solution, ask you to leave your children behind at the store..is unreal ..guess what I called your competitor; they were kind, courteous, helpful, got all items in a compact car...and brought the whole family home..shame on you for your shabby services. Even the customer service rep at the store I was at and who witnessed your drivers behaviour was appalled! Thank goodness she called another service on my behave because, her experience with your service was just as appalling,....you just lost a consumer, who used your services more than once a week and always let the drivers keep the change. I hope you wise up or put your business in the hands of a capable business person who knows it's the consumers you need to keep the business going. No stars from me if their was negative numbers you definitely get minus five from me. read more
