Typically, the food is great; however, my daughter went and bought an order the other day for us, and she had to ask for corrections on her order. In doing so, the service personnel working switched from English to Spanish, assuming that because my daughter was Caucasian, she would not understand them. However, she did understand them. The employees started to name-call her in derogatory names and comment on her weight. Despite her being pregnant. I would not recommend this place if you want good service. As a teen living in Aransas Pass I used to look forward to having the tortillas from here. I happened to be in the area and stopped by and opted for some breakfast tacos. First off... Ingleside's a city? Regardless, this is one of the few places I miss from there. Not only are the breakfast tacos delicious, but the same people have been making them since long before I was old enough to drive there. And when I the breakfast tacos are tasty, I don't mean in the "oh that was pretty good, we should go there again sometime" kind of way. i mean it in the "I'll take 50 more" kind of way. I'm from Ingleside and have been coming here for 30+ years off and on. The City Tortilla Factory has been a staple in our town for a long time. I used to always look forward to eating here when I would come visit family until the last few months. The last few times I've had breakfast from here I've received cold tacos, incomplete or incorrect orders and I discover these errors after I'm home and have had to go back to have them fix it. It may seem silly to complain about tacos but we all want to start our day off on the right foot and we all have our favorite tacos. When it's not done correctly multiple times in a row it's a problem. So when I go back and explain that my order was wrong I do not get an apology or the standard "sorry for the inconvenience " statement but a look of scorn and disdain as if I'm the problem. I have never had this bad of service from here before so I'm not sure what's going on. What I do know is that there are plenty of other places in town that have good tacos and friendly, consistent food and service with an actual drive through window. After growing up in Ingleside, This is the ONE place I have always looked forward to getting my breakfast tacos from when coming back to visit...Unfortunately, over past few times I've ordered, they have CONSISTENTLY managed to fail at making our order! I'm a fan of this place, due to my work schedule. They open at 5 am and the staff is very friendly. The servings are very generous and you can order both flour and corn tortillas. In and out in under 5 minutes perfect for picking good food on the go. Ive lived in Killeen, tx, where there is a burrito a foot long that is so close to being almost better than this taco, but ISNT! I lived in ingleside for 3 yrs of HS, served 13 yrs in the Army, & every time i come back i always get me a "sausage egg" taco. Mmmmm mmmm mmm!
