Ughh, I really hate Mondays. My office is crazy & I just try to get through the day. So when five o'clock comes, l am really anxious to get in my car & drive away real quick. So at 5pm when I get into my car, it just would not start. All my dashboard lights are lit up & even my key fob did not work. I called Geico & they sent a tow truck to my office. Geico said it would be over an hour until they can come to my location. I was totally surprised & ecstatic when the tow truck showed up not even forty minutes later. The driver was very nice. He tried a few different things to try to start my car but nothing worked. He knew I needed to get to the dealership before their service department closes, so he waited to write up his paperwork until we got there. And then at the dealership he took it upon himself to explain to the Service Advisor what he did to try to start the car & what he thought the problem could be. The driver was professional, knowledgeable & super nice. Being I am not the most graceful person in the world & I am only 5'3, getting in & out of this humungiously (is that even a word?) high truck was truly comical. Although the driver did everything he could to assist me, bottom line is I am a klutz. :) I would highly recommend City Towing if you breakdown & are in the Boca area. read more

Don't go there if your car is towed there get it out asap. The woman who said she owned place is horrible. Yelling and screaming at me when I was trying to speak to her. She just started yelling at me and saying terrible things. I was trying to help my son and she made fun of the fact I was trying to help my son and bad mouthed that well. She told me to go suck a tit. She said it over and I over next time I will record her verbal abuse because once she starts talking she goes off on you. I was trying to get information on how to pay a lien. She berated me told me I don't listen when I asked why DMV had one amount and she said the amt was 300 more. She got abusive when I wanted to understand the difference. Don't go there without police I think she could be physically dangerous to any customer but especially a woman. This company should be out of business. I will be filing complaint with every state agency who oversees business practices. If I went there and spoke to her the way she spoke to me she would probably try to have me arrested with her made up bs. Avoid at all costs read more

Wish I had done my research first. There's a reason they have a D- with the BBB. Asked for a flatbed tow for a "delicate" vehicle and they sent a standard truck. Initially, the driver Taylor who I later found out was the owners son, said he would arrange for a flatbed when I voiced my concern. However when I told him to stop lifting the vehicle because it was being obviously damaged by the truck, he lowered the vehicle then got into the tow truck and sped off. Another call to dispatch got me transferred around... "I AM the manager" and more nonsense. Finally called another company. read more

Absolute garbage. I waiting 2.5 hours for the truck to show. He gets the car on the truck then tells me he can't take me because he's being called to a scene of an accident. Hope those people are ok I'm told they will wave my additionally fee and will be there in 30min. 40 min later no truck and no call. I call to find that I still have to wait another 30 minutes. Absolute garbage. Will never use them again and they may have lost geico as a customer. They don't deserve 1 star either. read more

As a motorcycle owner who is part of the American motorcyclist association this is who they use. I've had to use them twice, each time I was quoted an hour. The first time I waited, stranded for 3 hours.the next time I needed assistance at 1am after work, again an hour goes by then they decide to call me and tell me the driver had to go back and get the motorcycle specific truck. They don't ever have accurate times. How many people need towing at 1 am? It shouldn't take 2-3 hours for help. Garbage, they deserve no stars and need new management read more

This morning the manager told me the price for the evacuation of my car $ 75 but when we arrived at the place and we had to unload the car driver said that the price is now $ 95, but it does not matter. This company is a joke. It's a family business and they don't know how to talk to people. How are you going to be mad that the person car you towed had an altitude smh. They suppose to be upset you towed their car and on top of that they have to pay to get it back. As a restaurant manager Of a guest is upset or had a bad experience you suppose to take it and swallow your tongue not argue like a kid that's makes you so unperfectional. My car got towed becuse I went to get a Uhaul and they were no parking at the time so I park across the street at a self service car wash my car was not even there for 3 hours when I return it was gone. The full version of this story is below, but in case you're in a rush, here is a bullet point of the nightmare experience I've had with "City Towing": - City Towing never calls to confirm they're coming - Claims 1 hour to arrive but leaves me waiting in a parking lot in 90+ degree heat for 2 hours - Driver makes personal stops and smokes cigars while I, a customer, is in the cab with him - Driver leaves me and my car at a closed body shop after 5pm so I have to pay for a cab home *****Next Day****** -City Towing states they don't need the car key to pick the car back up -Takes over 6 hours to show up to get the car, which means both shops are now closed -Claims they DO need the car key now and therefore cannot tow the car unless I bring the key -I leave work immediately but driver leaves because they can't wait 20 minutes for me to deliver key -City Towing attempts to bill insurance for showing up to tow the car If you're interested in further detail about the full scope of this absurdity, I've written the rest of it below: Two days in a row, two terrible interactions with City Towing. Geico Roadside Assistance sent City Towing to pick up my 2009 Challenger and me to take us to a repair place due to an issue that needed immediate attention. I was told they would contact me within 15 minutes, and they would be there no later than one hour from when they were dispatched. An hour later they hadn't even called, nor had they arrived. Called Geico who called them again and they said they would be there within 15 minutes. They arrived 45 minutes later. Once my car was on the truck bed we started toward the shop. Without saying a word or asking my opinion, the driver made a stop to grab a cigar from a smoke shop and lit up in the cab of the tow truck with me. Unprofessional, but I didn't care because I smoke cigars as well. We arrive at the shop to find they're closed. Now because City Towing took so long to get me there I have to wait overnight for my car and call Uber for a ride back home. IF THAT ISN'T BAD ENOUGH... Today the shop informs me they don't do the type of work I need done and we should have the car towed elsewhere. Geico contacts City Towing, I leave for work confident that by the end of the business day this will be settled. City Towing doesn't show up at the shop for OVER SIX HOURS. By the time they arrived both A1 Body and Glass (where my car was) and Tire Kingdom (where it was supposed to go) are closed. Not to mention earlier in the day I informed them that the key was not in the car and if they needed me to I would drive out and leave it somewhere for them. I was told they did not need the key and not to worry about it. Lo and behold when they finally get there over six hours later the driver calls Geico and tells the claims agent he can't tow the car because he needs the key in order to get in and make sure the steering wheel isn't locked. Geico calls me and asks if I can get there and get him the key. I leave work (much to my manager's chagrin) and rush over there. When I get there THE CITY TOWING DRIVER IS GONE. I contact Geico and the woman tells me that City Towing said they didn't have time to wait 20 minutes for me to get my key to them, so they left. Verdict: It would be an amazing service to consider if your goal is to get someone stranded for hours without help, but if you're looking for a company to help you through what is almost guaranteed to be an already unpleasant circumstance I would highly suggest avoiding City Towing at all costs. I mean that whole-heartedly. Obviously if you need a tow truck you're already not having a great day, but these people will only make it significantly worse, and it'll cost you on top of it all. read more

DESERVES a ZERO STAR RATING DONT USE THEM. City Towing Proudly advertises they are Geicos largest emergency road side service contractor in Florida. They are late and provide poor service. Geico scheduled a emergency roadside service for me and City Towing said they would be there within the hour. At the hour mark I called City Towing and they said they would be there in 30 min. At the 90 minute mark, I called City Towing and they said that their truck was stuck in Miami and would get to me in 1 hour. I told her this was unacceptable, & that I was told 30 minutes ago someone would be here by now. She said they have no record of me calling and that I never called. I said I have proof that I called- and took a picture of my phone call log. She said no I didn't call and then hung up on me. I called 30 minutes later and was told that the driver was on Griffin and would be at my car shortly. I asked if it was acceptable that an emergency roadside service should take 2+ hours and the man said no. He also said this happens all the time. I suggested that they have a more honest system to manage the expectations of clients. They promised they would be at my car in plenty of time for my car to be towed to the dealership. They were late, and my car could not be towed to the dealership. If they were honest about what their time frames, I could have made other arrangements. City Towing lies and can not live up to their own words. This is is part of their sales practice and must be stopped because, car owners are stranded and sometimes in danger of their life because their car is broken down- heavy traffic, unknown neighborhoods, etc.. read more

STAY FAR AWAY FROM BIG CITY TOWING. I never had to utilize a towing company, but due to a collision the officers called a towing company without asking if we had Triple A. Nevertheless, Big City arrived, and said the car was being towed to Block 5. Excuse me? Business card please. Since we were scheduled to travel out of town, I called Big City to inquire the storage fee, I was informed $25 per day. When we arrived back in town, the company was closed. I looked through the gate, and my back passenger was down. I immediately called the company number on the card, and informed the answering service of what I discovered, and to please contact the owner so someone can roll the window up. The next morning, I went to Big Towing and informed them I wanted to pick up vehicle. I was provided a price of $365. I informed the lady I was informed of a different price. The lady stated: anytime an officer call a tow truck, it's an automatic $165 fee, plus mileage ($38.65) , and storage. Unbelievable. I then asked, why was the window down? And, I was informed it rained here for (3) days? A red-head lady YELLED through the glass window: it came here with the window down. I informed her when the collision occurred, it was raining. Therefore, the window was up. She then YELLED: well, maybe the Fire Dept cut the battery cable, and the window went down. I informed her the Fire Dept didn't arrive. I said to her: I wasn't talking to you, I was having a professional conversation with her (pointing at the first lady). Rude red-head abruptly walked away. Unprofessional and Unbelievable. As we stood in the shade waiting for Triple A to remove my vehicle from this place, the first lady came out and apologized for the behavior of Rude red-head, and offered us bottled water. Then the owner came out, and chatted for awhile, included providing us with a name of a Body Shop. Unfortunately, the Rude red-head is the reason they are receiving a 1-Star.
