I love to see how this Orlando staple keeps evolving. I first visited many years ago for the inaugural Dia De Los Muertos event. Recently I attended the Yelpies in December, then again in January for a Third Thursday event. That's only 3 different examples of events they regularly have here. I loved the Third Thursday event because it was themed black and white which means every entry had to be in black and white. There were so many artists of all different kinds of medians. It looked so aesthetically pleasing having everything match colors but completely stand out individually by each artist. This was also my friend Grace Garvey's gallery debut and she had so many visitors to her art. Every artist was there gladly chatting along with the attendees and so proud of their work. The display was in the large room upstairs, but because there were so many attendees, it did get a little crowded and bottle necked at some points. They outside courtyard is so stunning. This is where the Yelpies where held. It's covered and blocked off from the street, but it's airy and open with gates. There's a little bar and cafe inside there with minimal options. They did validate parking in the Plaza garage making parking only 4 hours for the entire night. I believe this is only for some events, so double check the details of the events. During the Yelpies there was a beautiful interactive art display that took up half the upstairs, but was so impactful. I would love to see more interactive exhibits like the womb one in December.

Small gallery in downtown featuring art from local artists. It's free to get in to and has a variety of pieces from several artists. If it wasn't free to enter, I probably would not have gone because it is pretty small. However the art was great to look at.

I came for the event on "Dia de los Muertos", I got a Yelp hookup but I also payed it forward by inviting ($$$) a couple of friends, which I guess is the least I can do, besides writing a review and using social media, to help out this pretty cool business. The art that they had inside was pretty amazing, some pieces being from local artists which I found to be great step towards helping the community. The prices of many of the pieces were not sky high, some were pretty affordable, I am pretty sure a lot of the art work got sold. As you can see in the pictures, some of the stuff was amazing. It is a great place to come and check out art. Also, they had food trucks and vendors, this was one of the best events I have been to in a long time.

Took a day off & my husband, who is an artist, suggested CityArts. It is located on Magnolia. We found street parking on E. Orange, 2hours for $2. Not bad. Entrance is free, they accept donations, recommended $5. We love galleries, the white walls, arrayed with the soul work of wonderful artists. There 2 floors of art & a bar area. I am sure during non-covid times, this place is amazing. Most of the art, if not all, were of BIPOC. Beautiful, colorful, meaningful, inspiring & wonderful. Art relaying messages of awareness, real things, real people & real life. There was also sculptures and drawings. One day my husband will have a show here and it will be amazing!

Came here for the opening of my friend's art show for the first time and it's super cute! There are two floors and a sizable cafe area. There were a ton of people at the opening so it got crowded but there's a natural flow that meant you didn't feel crowded for long. CityArts is downtown and parking would usually be an issue but the library parking garage is legit almost right next door so super convenient. Anyway check out my friends art show!

What a neat little spot! An art gallery and cafe currently exhibiting a gorgeous Alice in Wonderland collection! The cafe was diner cute and cozy in decor and the menu had all the classics, as well as a few unusual beverage options! I ordered an oatmilk cortado and was not disappointed! The guava turnover was also delicious! The exhibition was great and on a Saturday morning I was the only person there! A great little spot in downtown Orlando that I'll definitely be checking out again!

Tonight's ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new CityArts Factory was wall-to-wall artists and art lovers looking to rub elbows, take copious pictures and enjoy a bit of vino while enjoying ballet and flamencos dancers performing for their pleasure. To our collective delight this multi-level art factory was enough to contain most of our merriment, save what spilled out to the street. Respect to the factory director and team in charge of organizing and executing this event because it was intended to inspire everyone to appreciate the beauty and inclusivity of art. Every 3rd Thursday, admittance is complimentary. Remember that and do well to visit, observe, and be stimulated.

This museum is located right in downtown near Lake Eola, so if you are roaming around downtown Orlando already this would be a great place to stop by to take a look around. This museum supports local artists in Orlando, so each month they rotate artwork so artists get a chance to showcase their talent for people of Orlando! There are 7 sections in the museum, so you get a different feel in each category that you walk through. The artwork is also for sale if you are interested in adding some creativity to your home

I am a huge believer in supporting your community and your local artists. CityArts Factory does a great job of exemplifying this vision. Please checkout upcoming events on their website. There are a ton of events that I have been too at this location that truly have been a delightful experience. There is a variety of art work in each room, and in each piece you will discover unique and quality work. Allow your inner creativity to be channeled by checking out what your art community has to offer. Definitely has been an all star experience, every time I have ventured out to this lovely little factory.

I enjoyed this art gallery. The front desk lady said they rotate out all the art once a month. Most of it was for sale too.

I've had the pleasure of attending a yoga event as well as a salsa event at The Balcony and both times I left wanting to figure out an event to host at this beautiful site. Though getting in to the building and up to the right floor is a bit of a process, the view that awaits is worth every head scratch. This is truly a Balcony, but much larger than you'd imagine. They've used the space for cocktail parties, seated dinners, weddings, fitness events, and I imagine a photo shoot or two. The space is available for rent, and I've made a point to take a tour (which you can schedule any time) to check it out when they didn't have an active event happening. The indoor space you'd walk thru for The Balcony is actually a marketing agency. I haven't been in several months, but it doesn't seem to provide a lot of weather backup space, so one thing to note. Then again, this place is so unique, you'll be convinced to cross your fingers and pray for clear skies!

4 Stars for location, location, location!…read more Eola House is a historic 1924 house-turned-rental space owned by the city, right by Lake Eola. It may seem like an odd sight in the middle of the park, but in fact it used to exist in a line of historic homes that were taken down for the park expansion. Now it sits alone, right off of the walking path surrounding the Lake. The home is lovely and features a sunroom, living room, parlor, outdoor terrace, upstairs area with a balcony, bridal changing room, and more. Recently I went for a lunch meeting in their upstairs space, the Summerlin Room ($75/hr rental with a 2 hr min). It was a lovely spot and fit our group of fifteen perfectly. I'll admit that I had been to the house once before to help with another event and the room wasn't set to the specifications agreed upon so we had to move and reset the chairs and tables right before the meeting. I remember the event organizer was quite annoyed... Hopefully it was a fluke! Side note- There is no elevator and the stairs are quite narrow. This is worth mentioning in case your event includes someone with mobility issues or who uses a wheelchair. As I was heading out I stopped in a room by the front and appreciated the array of pamphlets set up- ranging from history of the house to an Orlando biking map. There were also tourist pamphlets with the typical attractions (presumably for out of town guests of weddings of meetings). Overall, this is a beautiful meeting/event space that is priced reasonably and located in the heart of the city.

To come, you have to reserve a spot (1-2hours) so this alleviates overcrowding. During summer, the morning time until 10:30am is for 3 year olds and younger only. It's beautiful inside. The colors, aesthetic, layout. The play area is gated off. Everything is baby proofed. Two story play area with climbing, ball pit, low stimulation touch screen game, mini trampolines, and more. There's a small area specifically for infants. I climbed around the entire structure as well. There's at least one worker supervising and cleaning the play area. The cafe is outside of the play area, but very close where you can supervise your child. There are also 4 cameras so you can see your child even if they're inside of or behind a structure. There are 2 large companion restrooms with diaper pails, stairs for toddlers to reach the sink, & most everything is touch free. I really appreciated how clean everything was. It's a great way for the little ones to explore and expend some energy while meeting & playing with other kiddos. Terra Play Center is located in Lake Nona, and while it's quite a drive from me, this is by far my favorite play center so far! You do need to book a reservation online in advance because the time slots do sell out everyday, and they do not accept walk-ins if they are at capacity. I love that you can book 2 hours for $20 which is a great deal and the perfect amount of play time. Entry includes up to 3 caregiver passes at no extra charge. Adults are required to wear socks at all times and kids must wear the grippy Terra Play Socks ($3.99). Once you purchase them the first time, you can continue to wear them for future visits. Upon walking in, I was amazed by the sheer size of the play area and it's beautiful unique design. My son was just in awe. They have so many little nooks to explore, including a dedicated area for crawlers which we really appreciated during our first visit as my son was not quite walking yet. It was also not overly crowded which was a relief. He loved the climbing blocks, swing, ball pits, and trampolines. I was most impressed by how clean and well maintained the facility was. You will see staff continuously cleaning and wiping down surfaces the entire time that you are there. I even watched them remove every single ball from the ball pit in between play sessions to wash & sanitize. I know that germs can be a big concern for many parents when it comes to these play places, but seeing this definitely gave me peace of mind. They also have a stunning cafe area to order coffee & snacks, as well as seating to either relax or get some work done (where you can still keep an eye on your kiddos while they play). I highly recommend this spot and we will definitely be back!
