I wanted to take my kids on a little summer adventure and came across Urban Pirates, a pirate…read morethemed boat adventure, that takes place in the Inner Harbor/Downtown area of Baltimore. To start, we booked tickets online. Our adventure did not sell out so they called us and rescheduled for later the same day. When we arrived, we checked in under a tent that was set up at the end of small street along the water. The tent had some pirate themed items for sale. We waited there, on some benches, until our cruise was ready. Once on the ship tattoos and nicknames were given, stories were told, songs were sung and dances danced. There were battles with pirates, water cannons, treasure to be had all will cruising the waters of downtown Baltimore. Overall, a pretty cool adventure. Urban Pirates is definitely not cheap. My son, who is 8, really enjoyed the experience. My daughter, a middle schooler, had a little less fun. But there were kids older than her on our boat that were really into it. So, like a lot of things, you'll mostly get out of Urban Pirates what you are willing to put into it. Yaaaaar!

It's pretty funny, because here I was thinking that a scavenger hunt is a competition in which you try to be the first to finish and to have all the answers right. I don't know why I thought that, I guess I was just inane enough to look to Wikipedia, THE LARGEST ASSEMBLY OF INFORMATION IN HUMAN HISTORY, for the rules. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scavenger_hunt Anyway, my team finished first and got everything right, then lost on a tiebreaker question to some dweeb virgins who finished 10 minutes after us. It was a tremendous miscarriage of justice that I find deeply upsetting. Besides that, though, I thought the scavenger hunt was done quite well and was a fun way to spend an afternoon. The guy who wrangled all the nerds before and after the event was also quite good at his job. I'd highly recommend this scavenger hunt to anyone who is willing to suspend their respect for the sanctity of traditional scavenger hunt rules.

I'd recommend these for locals rather than first-time tourists since when you're rushing around from clue to clue you don't have a lot of time just to browse the museum. I haven't won a hunt yet, but they're so much fun I don't really care. It's a great way to learn things about the museum you never would've found out otherwise. Wear comfortable shoes as you'll be doing a lot of walking and use common sense with your clothing if you're doing an outdoor hunt. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is it can get a little pricey if you're buying a bunch of tickets for a big team. Tickets are cheaper for the family hunts, but you must have children with you

Marble monument of Edgar Allan Poe [Baltimore MD]…read more Located on the southeast corner of Fayette and Greene Streets inside the Westminster Hall and Burying Grounds is the Edgar Allan Poe Grave Site and Memorial. Street parking. Unfortunately at the time of our visit the gates to the Westminster Burial Ground were closed and locked but we were still able to see the headstone between the iron fence in the front corner of the cemetery. How sad that he died at a young age of only 40 years old. I didn't realize that our visit on MLK Day, 1/20, was just one day after his birthday ( Jan 19, 1809-- Oct 7, 1849). On the headstone the incorrect date of Poe's birth was engraved. He was born on January 19 not 20) Poe's full name is written in capital letters on the base. Review #3668

I made a reservation for a party bus for 35 people for my daughter's school graduation. Not only…read morewas the bus 40 minutes late completely messing up my schedule and itinerary but they sent me a bus that absolutely did not fit the 35 people. Lots of the kids didn't have a seat and had to ride standing up. I texted Robert and sent him video and photo of the crowded bus and he completely ignored me, this was Saturday still haven't heard back. The kids had to ride in a very uncomfortable and hot bus.

Tiffany came to our house with all of the ingredients, borrowed a few pots and pans and served us a three course meal (and cleaned up afterward). Everything was so tasty and she was very friendly but knew when to give us some privacy to enjoy our meal together. It was such a nice treat and something we'd like to do again with a bigger group!

Chef Amber created a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere in her kitchen with good lighting, complimentary snack/drink table, and played music of our choice! Her kitchen had the appropriate appliances, utensils, and kitchen tools to bake the macaroons. It was nothing but fun while we baked with Chef Amber. The baking instructions were written down as we followed her step by step instructions, no stress! She baked alongside throughout the activity. This was a great activity to do for our anniversary celebration. We highly recommend taking her class!
