Note: This is the review for the Bowie, MD location. I couldn't locate that AIA on Yelp as of January 2023. This place is a simplified version of Escape Room and my second ever for any Escape Room type location. Me and 2 others decided to try the Houdini room which is considered the hardest with about a 20% complete success rate. It was extremely hard, but the staff was helpful in hints and trying to guide us to get through most of the locks. We ended up running out of time and felt like we just took a final exam in college. Overall, the place is great and they even let you take a custom picture in front of a green screen with props and signs after you are finish (or fail) the escape room. read more

We took a 10th Birthday Party to one of their level one experiences. My first impression was that the room was a bit basic and that it could use some sprucing up. It was a pretty small room and most of the decor was party store kind of items. Once the kids were allowed to begin, they were all in! They quickly found everything and were like, "what now"? Then they got into the puzzles and were super excited and invested. They looked a little harder when they hit dead ends or tried alternatives. It was a lot of fun seeing them work the puzzles out and have moments of realization when putting it all together. Then, Triumph!! For the price, I'm still not fully convinced that it was worth it for just an hour, but they had a lot of fun. read more

My name is Marlene Ishmeal I recently went to your location in white marsh mall. I have a family of five and as you know this outing was well over $173. When we first arrived the employees were very nice at explains the locks for our adventure. Once inside the room we were told if we need any assistance to press the button on the door and we were allowed 3-4 hints. Into our adventure we clicked the button and an associate came to help up . This was in the first 15 min of being in the room after that we clicked the button several times and no employee came to help us . We even went as far as going to front to find someone there were no employees to help. My family was very disappointed we did not find all the clues and there was no one to help us. This experience is very disappointing to my family and myself. I would like another opportunity for my family to get the full experience being that I spent $173 for one hour to basically stay in a store with no employees . When we left there was no one to be found we did not even take a picture with the green screen as we were promised . I hope someone can please rectify this issue . I am a working mom and $175 is a lot of money to spend on an event that was poorly supervised. read more

On 7/14/22 I had a terrible experience at the White Marsh Mall location. I wrote a review, was contacted by a manager who asked me if she could remedy the experience with a voucher. I took down the review with hopes the next time would be better. I was assured the gift card wouldn't expire. I never received a link to the gift card that I was promised. I contacted the manager, she cant find the link she sent (I don't believe she sent it) I forwarded her our entire conversation through email and still she can't seem to help me. I was hoping to take my daughter for and re do the crappy birthday I had that year. For anyone thinking of going my experience was memorable... My family and I attended the Zombie Apocalypse today. The clues were definitely seemed to be out of order, it didn't match up at all. We in out the correct numbers into the locks, followed the lock instructions and the locks continued not get stuck. We had to ask for hints for the locks just being junk.  It was also terribly hot l, sticky and just gross. I feel as if I wasted my birthday outing and the money for the experience was a complete waste. We have been to this location before and had a better experience. It was terribly disappointing.  I hope you update the rooms and the equipment. read more

A friend and I escaped the Alcatraz room on a weekday. We did the harder difficulty level and escaped with 5 ish minutes left on the clock. Here are our mutual thoughts! I've been to over 40 escape rooms and I have to say that All In Adventures has got a lot that it needs to work on. They have NINE rooms, folks. That is way too many rooms. There's a reason you go to a hole in the wall escape place that has only two or three to choose from. They put effort into those rooms. Those rooms might open up into multiple rooms, behind different doors or crawl spaces. Discovering a new space is one of the best parts of an escape room IMO. At All In however, we were in one brightly lit room the entire time. I assume the other rooms are the same. The setup appears to be several squares, like large cubicles in a mall space that could have easily been a Halloween pop up store at one point. I almost laughed when our game host explained that the walls of our cube room didn't reach the ceiling because they were sensitive to people with claustrophobia. What an awkward way to cover up a fire regulation. I've been to rooms with low walls where you could hear other groups and they were great rooms. Just don't lie to us. There was one lock that was wonky (you had to push up before pulling down) and when we exhausted a clue, she came in and was like, "Did you guys read the lock sheet?" There is a sheet with many locks and their descriptions on it. I've never seen this in an escape room before. Just tell us before we start, that for this one lock, you have to open it a certain way. All rooms do this if there is a lock that people tend to have trouble with. There were no creative puzzles or technological elements. The entire room was basically one info sheet on the wall that led us to open a million lock boxes one after another. No learning a new code, no test of nimble fingers to try and get at an object, no tapping a piano to form a string of notes that open something, etc. Just locks and boxes in a square room with low ceilings.  BIGGEST COMPLAINT - the rooms are only 50 minutes. Every room I've been in is an hour. An hour's worth of different, difficult puzzles and activities. The 50 minute limit just means that they simply don't have enough things to do in each room. All that being said, our game master, Tanisha was super nice. Another little nitpick, she didn't tell us that our photo would be uploaded to their Facebook. She also sent it to us, but I saw it was on their page. Just saying, let people know so they can decline the photo if they wish. read more

My family took me to the Escape Room for my birthday. We did the Super Hero Room. This was my very first time and I enjoyed it immensely. I can't wait to go back. The young lady was pleasant and patient. My family and I want to try Alcatraz next. Only issue is advertisement and marketing. I think I am an escape room addict. I just happened to pass All In Adventures during one of my trips to White Marsh Mall. I walked in and found out it's an escape room business. A few weeks later, two friends and I decided to give this place a try. All In Adventures differs from other places since they offered levels for each room. Some have 1 and 3, others 2 and 4. Overall each room has at least 2 challenge levels. Since we failed our last escape room, we decided to do do level 1 here. We had so much fun trying to escape and we made it out. It was still challenging despite the level. I would recommend All In for the price point, location, and different levels of each room. Looking forward to trying another level! read more

They charge the same as high-end escape rooms (and there are plenty of those in the area that deserve your money), but it's just a series of lock boxes and terrible riddles in a boring neon lit room that had zero effort put into it. One staff member seemed on top of things, but one had no clue what was going on. We couldn't believe how terrible the room we did was, we rolled our eyes through the entire experience. read more

Sooo the escape room itself was fun and this was my second time at this specific one, but the woman & man in charge/ helping us were very dreary. The man was pretty rude when we first came in and it did not feel entirely welcoming. The energy from them both gave off boredom. It overall made our experience less fun, at some point we didn't want to ask for a hint in fear that they would come and kill the mood, or make things awkward. At some point though of course we needed the hints, and it was a bit awkward. I would have enrolled in the VIP program because I love escape rooms but not with them lol, maybe next time. read more

We came to this location with a Groupon deal. My family and I are escape room addicts and we've experienced at least 1 room at most locations in the area so I have some ability to compare. We booked the zombie room eager to try both levels (2 and 4). I haven't done this kind of structure before: basically, you try to complete the room at the lowest level and you can choose to leave if you escape in time; or you can carry on with remaining (and clearly marked clues) for a related further "mission". For the zombie room this means simply get out (as an infected zombie and spread the virus) or continue to find the cure then escape. Well, it sounded cool. Unfortunately the staff person for our room was kind of terrible. First, when we walk in she tells us to just place our bags/coats on this one surface. Then she tells us that our first mission is to locate 2 keys before we do anything else. 5 min go by. We found 1 key. We've looked EVERYWHERE... no second key. This is ridiculous. 10 min. Finally someone says... you don't think... where the coats... Yep. Key was under our coats. She staffed the room and had no idea it was there and told us to cover it up. Not cool. We got legit stuck on a clue a couple of minutes later. She comes in with a booklet that's clearly the handout for the room. She then spends FIVE MINUTES of our precious time READING the book and telling us to try things that DIDN'T WORK because she clearly had no idea either. She refused to extend our time. Ok... Got stuck again. It happens. In other escape rooms someone comes on radio or intercom and gives you a quick nudge to help you along, And they already know where you are because of cameras. No, she's back with the papers. Another few minutes with her asking us what we've done already and her trying to find the stuff we need... Then looking through HER clues. The part we were at made NO sense. Everything we tried seemed right and it wasn't working. Finally she says well these are the numbers... I look at the paper and refuse to accept that she's giving us the "right" numbers that 0% match the information we were given. "Oh." She says. "Someone took the _____ out of the box and mixed them all up. Oops." UNBELIEVABLE. At this point we've lost like 15-20 min of our time. But, even after all that, we got out at the last moment. She then told us to leave the door open and "keep going" because we were obviously pissed. So we got out the level 4 stuff and tried to do it. Another staff member comes in and says we can't do that, someone else needs to use the room. This person is more competent. We plead for another experience because we were so frustrated and she did allow us to try another available room. I am SO GLAD she gave us the chance and was accommodating. We explained our problems in the last room and she was kind of horrified. "Oh lord!" She said when I told her we were specifically instructed to cover up a critical clue with our coats. We then did Treasure hunt. If you are a seasoned escape room person, this level 1 room is VERY EASY. It is fun and straightforward and it was exciting moving through it but again, easy. It was so simple that there was only ever 1 task to do at a time so 2 people would be solving a straightforward puzzle while the rest just stand around. In good, more advanced rooms, if every brain isn't whizzing at once every second you don't get out. But it would be a fun room for newbies or just a couple of people. We didn't need any hints at all (thank god, we were pretty wary of them from this place) and got out with 26min to spare after completing both levels. The clock didn't stop after we got out and we were basically ushered out the door without even the classic photo op. That was a little weird as it's always a fun escape room moment to hold up your sign with the time. We didn't get it for either room. I don't know if the issues are endemic to this establishment / chain or what. All In Adventures, if you're reading this here's some pro-tips: -Please train your staff better. They need to know every single clue in the room and gauge where people are. -Dont have staff just give out numerical solutions as hints. This ruins the entire experience. The point is to help people find it on their own. -CHECK THE CONDITION OF THE CLUES and keep an eye on clues you KNOW are problematic. Our most annoying part was due to someone tampering with the prop itself. - For God's sake, have some kind of a basket inside the room for belongings so clues aren't missed. This is a simple concept all other escape rooms have. - Surveillance is key. This is the first place I've been to out of nearly a dozen where someone isn't watching your progress so they are ready to help in 30 seconds or less. - I get that 50 minutes is more convenient for your scheduling but it is unusual. Most rooms are a minimum of an hour literally everywhere else. For the same price, the experience should be an hour (and enough clues to match the time). read more

I'll try to be as kind as possible. First of all, a place to hang up your coat would be nice,-a big box in each room for purses, etc so you don't have to throw your stuff in a pile on the floor. Invest in Cameras. Our guide had to be buzzed down the hall to reach us and actually left his buzzer in the room once. Have a storyline w visual clues and enclosed rooms so you can have darkness and lighting clues. We just had a cement floor and a bunch of boxes to open. I could go on, but maybe check out how some other rooms look and do things and try to up the experience there. Otherwise, you should definitely reduce the prices. read more

I was extremely unimpressed with my experience. I have done many escape rooms and this was by far the worst. I took my nephew (15) , niece (14), and their friends because they have been begging to do an escape room. I knew going in that they would struggle with communication and most likely not escape. However, the lady who was in charge of the rooms was extremely rude. She did not realize I was an adult and treated the whole room with no respect. When entering the room she told us that she would kick us out if we were to destroy anything. This would not have bothered me if she didn't use such an accusatory voice towards the group. The real issue was when she came back to deliver the hints throughout the game. The first time she came back she was rude about their lack of progress. Getting annoyed that they hadn't found a hidden key. Quite honestly she treated them as if they were idiots and didn't belong in the escape room. When they called for the second hint she came back and scolded them for not being organized the way she thought they should have been. I was already annoyed and couldn't wait to leave. Once our time ran out she came back and my nephew asked to finish trying the code he was entering in. She told him no in a rude manner and then asked him what he was going to enter. He said one number and she said no. Which he quickly corrected to another number. She then scolded us on how we hadn't figured out the puzzles and how we should have found the answer. It was the second number my nephew had corrected to! He was proud of himself to which she quickly shot him down saying he said the wrong number first. The final thing that made me frustrated with the visit was when she finally realized I was an adult. She spoke to me with an entirely different tone & mood then she had been displaying the rest of the experience. I will most likely never return to this escape room! $20 to be treated like an idiot! read more

My friends and I came here with a Groupon because we all thought it would be fun to experience an escape room. I am glad we picked this one because this place was a ton of fun. The ladies who work there made it a great experience, especially Tanisha! She was a lot of fun and after finding out it was our first time in an escape room, she took her time to make sure we understood everything! We didn't get out of the first room, but made it out of the second. She took a couple of extra pictures for us because she knew it was my friends birthday that day. What wonderful customer service! We did 2 rooms at this location. Compared to other escape rooms in the area, this one lacks the in-depth storyline and the immersive decor/feel of other ones. The technological aspects of the games were minimal.... no secret doors or moving walls here, people. Literally it was trunks/boxes in a room with different types of locks. Puzzles and riddles were ok. Unlike other escape rooms, there is no one watching you via a camera as you complete the room. This means when you ask for a hint, you need to wait for someone to walk back to your room and then they have to figure out at what point you are in order to give you the proper hint. We did like the fact that each room had 2 difficulty levels, and our host Brandis was very nice! She even let us continue on with the next level since no one was waiting to play the room. For experienced escapists, these rooms may dull in comparison to other ones in the area. However, the price and simplicity of the rooms might make this a good location for people who want to try their newbie hand at escape rooms. read more
