Excellent day! My group of 5 was paired with another…read moresimilarly sized group for a 2-hour zipline adventure. There were 5 or 6 lines ranging in length from about 50 feet to 700 feet. The 700 foot line is awesome. In between there is a high-ropes "intermission" when you can choose between some "broken bridges" or a net obstacle and tightripe. After that my group did a Tree Climb which is a physically demanding challenge to get up very high trees, swing from ropes, etc. Unlike the zipline which is just fun adrenaline, the tree climb requires some real exertion and I would not recommend it for those who are afraid of heights or who are not physically active on a regular basis. The guides for the adventure were all great. They were encouraging, made us feel safe, and made an effort to learn our names. It was a great experience all around and I would recommend this as an activity for anyone.

So first we did the ziplining and it was great - we zipped through about 6 lines of varying lengths and a couple of them had obstacles like a broken bridge or a tight-rope walk. Then we did the treeclimb. One entailed swinging from tree to tree until you got to the top, and the other one was to climb a very old, very large tree. The third thing we did was the scavenger hunt, which was great because we traveled through the entire premises to get clues to each station to accrue points and ultimately defeat our adversaries. lol The service and friendliness of the staff was top notch. They made us feel pretty comfortable and were having a good time along with us as well as guiding us through a fun, safe experience. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for adventure and a good time with a group of friends.

They're either pink for practice or yellow for games. And they aren't made of rubber, they are plastic polymer whose chief characteristic is that it doesn't bounce very high. If you drop it from over your head, it will barely bounce to knee level. Learning (and remembering that fact about low bounces) is just one of the many things you'll need to master if you want to take up the sport. Pickleball was launched in the mid-1960s and is played on a smallish court with a modified tennis net, using a paddle and those perforated polymer balls. I'd best describe the game as the love child of tennis, ping pong and badminton. When you hit the ball, it sounds more like a thud than a ping! Similar to tennis, your goal is to hit the ball over the net and into your opponent's side while adhering to a myriad of rules about serving and counting bounces and staying away from a zone in front of the net that reminded me of the goalie's cease in hockey. Dill Dinkers has 20 locations across ten states. There is just one Connecticut location. Yesterday, we took our very first pickleball lesson at Dill Dinkers in Simsbury, in a space previously occupied by Borders Books. We joined a beginner's class with about 20 rookies and interacted with three exceptional and very patient coaches who gave us lesson time, practice drills and embryonic game play with instant feedback on performance and the rules (which I consistently violated). For the third year in a row, Pickleball is the country's fastest growing sport, and their courts are taking over empty shopping mall space across the country. After one lesson, I am looking forward to charting my "progress" over the next three weeks. I'm not very optimistic about that!

The courts have a great aesthetic and have really good quality surfaces. My favorite part is how much space there is between the baselines and the fences. Not once did I have to worry about hitting the barriers, and that allowed me to play much more freely. We encountered a technical difficulty during a tournament that caused us to play an opponent out of order, slightly messing things up which was a little frustrating in the moment. But the tournament organizer did a great job resolving it, and went above and beyond to offer some compensation in the form of free court time and some waived fees which is a huge testament to their customer service. I really appreciated that gesture. Will definitely be back here!

My partner and I had a great time on the river thanks to Main Stream Canoes. We took the 6 mile…read moreupper river trip sharing a canoe. All of the equipment was functional and we were promptly dropped off at the starting point. The trip was a great mix of calm water and a little excitement in small rapids. This late in the season, the water level was a little low and I did have to do some walking but that's river canoeing for you. Arrived at the shop, pulled up the canoe, checked out and we were back on our way. We look forward to taking a longer trip with friends next season.

So if you are going for a "real" art experience this may not be your vibe. This was more a sensory experience, very therapeutic. Our instructor was very thorough. The lighting and aromatherapy was very therapeutic as well. I won't give to much away only that you should try it but I will also warn you if you are doing sculpting you DO NOT take the finished product home with you. As I said this is a great therapeutic experience.

From the moment we walked in, the space had such a chill, artsy atmosphere. The instructor was not only super talented, but also so kind and helpful. He walked us step-by-step through the painting, demonstrating each part on a sample canvas and checking in with everyone as we painted. He kept our mimosa glasses full and refreshed our paint palettes There were also fresh pastries and fruit to nibble on while we painted, and he even helped us take photos and videos throughout the class Whether you're planning a cute date, a girls day out, or just looking for something creative and fun to do in NYC, this is such a unique experience. The check-in process was straightforward. There is a waiver you can sign ahead of time to make check-in even faster which was nice! E-mail correspondence with staff member Selyn was helpful and prompt within the hour on a weekend and answered all of our questions prior to booking. Their primary method of contact is e-mail so I appreciated the prompt response! They are very transparent on their website, but the Cage is a Free Range space, meaning there will be swearing, loud noises, and other things that may upset small children. (Do with this information what you will.) We were able to bring our own TV to chew up for a disposal fee that cost under $20 but I would recommend referring to the website's FAQ section and make sure your rage item is within the safety guidelines. We had to reschedule because of snow, and the business made it super easy and we're very amenable to our request to rebook. Plenty of options to choose from, I also like having the option to pay extra for an appliance. Who doesn't want an "Office Space" moment with a sledge hammer and a fax machine! An hour is plenty of time, also having a playlist was perfect. When Slipknot's 'Wait and Bleed' comes on, who doesn't want to sling a giant wrench to the beat that Joey Jordison puts out? Staff were super friendly and we're having a great time as well.
