On this lovely Sunday that we visited, we came not long before closing, but it's opened from 1-5 on Sundays so that's still pretty good, plenty of time to enjoy this library. Although it's not a very big library, it has everything you'd expect from one. Upstairs is the teens and adult sections, pretty typical areas with lots of fiction and non fiction books, but there's also nice views of the lake and greenery outside the library from this upper floor. The main floor downstairs consist of the children's section and it's bright, clean, and colorful. On this floor, you'd also find that the space is pretty big and has lots of books for kids of all ages, as well as bathrooms, meeting rooms, a Friends of the Library book sales store, the main info desk with friendly library staff, and has all the comprehensive resources you'd expect at a library. Overall, we enjoyed visiting this library again even though it's not our first time, but it's still as nice as before, with a calming palette of colors inside and nice natural landscaping outside, making this a truly quiet and peaceful retreat in the middle of the bustling little bedroom community of Rocklin, CA in Placer County.

First the facility has been great for location for short course meets as they have a 10 lane 25 yard pool as well as a warm up pool. The site has ample parking as well as the equipment to handle these types of meets. During meets they use the lower decks of the garage so that swimmers can set up chairs and tents and this is an awesome feature especially when it is wet and rainy. This still leaves the entire parking structure open. The only issue that the aquatics complex has is that there are not enough bathrooms for larger competitions. Otherwise it has all the other amenities you would like for swim meets!

It is gated with the front yard maintenance included with your HOA. The streets are wide and all the yards are well maintained. There isn't hardly any traffic and many residents walk in this neighborhood. There are a few small park areas that are nicely landscaped and are over looking a gorgeous view of the valley below. One of the streets has a locked gate which residents have a key that takes you down to Whitney Oaks Golf Club. There are two clubhouses for the residents. The large clubhouse that has the pool and exercise facility is called The Gables. A lot of activities and gatherings are held at The Gables. The Oaks is the smaller clubhouse which is located adjacent to The Gables. Residents receive a newsletter each month with all the club activities so you can plan your social calendar.

I loved falling asleep to the gentle sounds of steel wheels hitting train tracks as a kid, and now that I live in midtown Sacramento, I still get to hear it, and it makes me happy. I'll stop being a Sheldon Cooper, and get on with it. Although trains have not stopped here for many years, the Loomis Train Depot has recently been restored to its former glory as a historical point of interest train station in the heart of the town of Loomis. You can't miss it. Just follow Horseshoe Bar Road from the Loomis exit off of I-80, past Taylor Road, until it dead ends at Blue Anchor Park, behind Taylor's, where you should also stop for a Golden Eagle Shake. GO DOHS! It is currently the site of town hall meetings, and inside you'll find a gavel and courtroom style chair set up along with a small train museum for enthusiasts. It's also an awesome venue for a small party or in this month's case, a bridal shower. There are plenty of chairs, tables, and a kitchen complete with sink, trash cans, microwave and fridge. I liked this location as a venue so much that I have my eye on it for the future. He was patient with my kids and head them to the train, the kids corner and the scavenger hunt and puzzle as he thinks, they get bored as I roam around every inch of the museum. There are informational brochures and leaflets of the city's happenings and other museums too. There is no admission fee but a donation box can be located in the center of the museum. I would say, the museum is busy from time to time, there were three more group guests when my family were in.

We are talking about a 5 dollar transaction here. It's extremely rude to not take into consideration that there are customers with disability that aren't able to pay independently that requires guidance but the need to raise your tone over this is absurd.
