I purchase a deal from Groupon that I saw for Cinvinte Candle Bar in downtown Oak Park IL. Meter street parking is available. I came on a Sunday Afternoon which was nice. I walked inside and the warm aroma smell was amazing. There were candles on the shelves for you to purchase. Smelled so amazing. It's kind of small inside but it has a Big Bold Energetic Vibe. Ladonna was attentive and very patient. She was detailed and explained each step to help you create your own special one-of-a-kind candle. The making of the candle is a fast and smooth process. There were many selections of fragrances and containers to smell. I was able to choose 3 fragrances that was appealing to me. Each smell was intoxicating that it was so hard for me to select 3 scents for my candle. A creative way of creating a candle that is personally made. This Self Care Experience was a 10/10 Win. read more

My 1st visit to Civinte Candle Bar was for a Mother's Day outing with my mom and sister. We all love candles, so I knew this would be a good girls' day out. The experience was wonderful! We were guided through the entire process from beginning to end. The service we received was outstanding. All our questions were answered, and we felt very welcomed in the establishment. After selecting our vessels, we did the most fun part of the process - selecting our scents. They have a VERY EXTENSIVE scent bar with everything from florals to citrusy, to earthy scents. They even have tomato oil - which smells better than you might imagine. You're encouraged to combine up to 4 scents, but you can do more or less based on preference. Once you customize the scent to your liking, it's adding to the paraffin wax, and you let it set. Dried flowers are added once the wax starts to solidify for aesthetics. My mom, sister and I loved our customized candles. I enjoyed the experience so much that I decided to host a private event for my recent birthday. This time, the owner was there, and she provided stellar service as well. She gave us insight into her background and history behind the creation of the shop. Dr. Cheryl has such an inspiring story, and you can tell that she is passionate about her craft and sharing the positive benefits of making/purchasing candles with her versus buying them in big-box stores and retail chains. When you host a private event, they create an event link for you to share with your attendees so they can book their tickets. I was able to bring in food and beverages, and even hooked up to their Bluetooth speaker so I could play music. Many of the folks at my event were visiting Civinte for the first time, but each other them said they would be sure to return. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Cheryl, her team, and Civinte Candle Bar. Not only can you make candles, diffusers or your own sprays you can shop the wonderful selection. I love the fact the products are non-toxic and have a great price point. While I don't need any new candles because I bought so many that last a while and your home smells amazing, I ran out of the room sprays and need to restock soon. My family and I have patronized the Civinte Candle Bar on multiple occasions and the owner Cheryl is a sweetheart and provided excellent customer service and quality product. The store isn't your typical candle place. It's cozy, welcoming and has an array of scents and room fragrance items. We planned a Mother's Day outing at the location a couple of years back and we had a great time. Cheryl provided us a space where we could be creative but also environmentally friendly. I am a candle fanatic so making a candle made it where I could be more flexible with mixing scents to get that aroma I wanted. If you're also looking for a place to host the next girls outing or date night, this is a very great spot. The price of the items are "you get what you pay for"and that's high quality. I personally don't mind the price for the overall experience and the emotional safety of being able to have a product that isn't going to harm my lungs. read more

Every candle, wax melt and room spray I've bought has livened up my spaces and given me the joy of my favorite fragrances without it being overpowering. And aside from the shopping experience that always has me happily leaving with more than I came for, the candle making experience is so much fun. Came here with a friend, but the experience was incredibly disappointing. The instructor focused solely on my friend, ignoring me throughout the entire session. She even made a big show of complimenting my friend's chosen scent while barely acknowledging mine. To top it off, she only helped my friend with wrapping their candle, leaving me to carry mine to the counter myself and excluding me from their conversation. I love this store's concept, but the service made me feel left out of our own time together that I won't be back, especially considering the higher price point of their nicer candles. read more
