Lake Chelan doesn't have much in terms of high-quality vegetarian or plant-based gourmet options, but Bear Foods was a massively delightful surprise! The store is absolutely PACKED with things that I wanted to look at and take home. I was impressed with how many things they stocked that were items I've only seen online and never seen sold in stored. We took a super long time through the coffee and tea isle and ultimately took a few boxes and tins home with us because their selection was so good. Their cheeses and gourmet snacks area was well stocked, and I could see how some of the vacationing non-locals could keep a business like this afloat even with their considerable prices. I really wanted to go back, but we were in the area for a wedding and our timeline just didn't allow it to happen. Otherwise, I probably would have brought home a lot more of their amazing goodies! Only downside for me was that during our time there, there was a mask mandate, and not a single person working there was masked.
