The "Sunset Beach Bar" is not the "Sunset Bar", same location different name. We were planning for more of a bar experience. The food was good but more upscale than it previously was. Bolognese pasta was huge. It was really good. The pork sandwich was also very tasty. The fish and chips were very good as well. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable.

The new Sunset is not the old Sunset. Want a fantastic cocktail from a guy who loves making them? Talk to Ben the bartender. Want the best steak you've had in town? Hope they're not sold out and order one. Seriously, Manson barely deserves a place like this, so let's frequent it and make sure it sticks around.

The new Sunset's food is PHENOMENAL. I live in Manson, and this restaurant is now my go to!!!! The food was to die for--the Cajun pasta and Bolognese were gourmet. The sweet potato tots were the highlight of the evening though! Great service too!

Get ready to back up your truck to the door when you finish b/c they load you up with so many fresh, hand-cut fries. Again, such good flavor, but this is where the heartburn really kicks in. They bring out a caddy of 6 different sauces to keep the Freedom fries company. The gal who served us wouldn't win any awards for hospitality, but she treated us well and we got out of there alive. Some great views out on the patio and the drive had my head getting whiplash from checking out all the farms and vineyards. The overall experience, and granted this is coming from a first time customer, it was a bit odd. You get an explanation from the host when you first arrive. Go find your own seat, which had us debating for far too long on where to sit. And then you order at the front and get your own drinks. Normally, at a place you order and then sit down at, not confusing. But it was here for some reason? Maybe the layout or it just wasn't expected. Made for an odd start to our meal. So, prepare yourselves. One big negative is their orange juice. It's Tree Top in a plastic bottle. And it tastes horrible. Rancid. MinuteMaid isn't any better. Not Blueberry Hills Farms fault, just Tree Top needs to stick to apple juice.

Which would be fine, except their outdoor seating is extremely dirty and due to the amount of trees around, covered in pollen. So it almost felt like second class or a punishment. I slapped the chair cushion and it was like it had never been dusted before. Not that I expect the outdoor seating to be clean at all times, I would expect a higher end place like this that features wine on their menu to make an effort to keep things tidy for all guests. The food itself, was actually pretty good. The deep fried artichoke seriously missed the mark in seasoning and presentation (maybe have the sauce on the side to dip?) but the steak and short ribs were amazingly tasty. Great flavors. We also did a wine flight and the wines were very good as well. One of the glasses still had lipstick on it unfortunately. A couple of the glasses looked rushed to clean. It was replaced and all was well. But still.. attention to details here seems to be an issue. If you come here, make a reservation. Sit inside. Might have a better experience. Get the short ribs or steak and some wine and it will be a lovely experience.

I can't say enough how kind the staff - both at the tasting room and restaurant - were to my family. The restaurant itself had a magical ambience, most especially because it was just right after Christmas. The perfect lighting makes or breaks it and they got it right. Driving below looking at Tsillan Cellars, I imagined the restaurant to be more spacious than what I thought it to be, rather, it was a bit more intimate which was quite nice. As it was dark, we could not see the view but I would imagine that it would have been outright stunning in the day. As for the food, we ordered the shrimp risotto, steak, and canelloni for the adults. This establishment also offers a kid's menu and although I usually have my kids eat from whatever I order, we decided they cam order a plate of their own, which was spaghetti and chicken tenders with rosemary fries. All of the dishes were of quality and of course, delicious. I wish I could get another plate of the risotto. If we ever get the chance to come back, I would certainly come back and reserve a time when there is daylight to enjoy the view of the area and water.

Service: my boyfriend called to schedule a reservation. Number one I have a food allergy (onions,…read moreshallots, green onion and chive). He spoke at length to them about the allergy and if substitutions were made. We had the online menu and several of the dishes we were promised were onion free, including ciopinno. Now I make this at home. I am aware there are standard white onions in the broth. He doesn't know that, he just knows I love it. He clarified twice with whoever answered the phone. When he brought me, he had assured me they said it was onion free. *In a Morgan Freeman voice* it was in fact not onion free, nor were most of the dishes on the menu. I know better than to get too invested into any menu items prior for asking if it is safe. Second, we asked for a table with a view, preferably outside. This is primarily because of the onion allergy and he wanted a view. They put us in the middle of the dining hall. We asked about the view, the seating hostess "well this is the best view." There were three tables out on the patio. We had a view of a bridal party and bros who were spilling their drinks. I after a lengthy back and forth about food items, I was instructed to order protein and sides that were safe. What I ordered: scallops cooked in a butter, lemon and white wine sauce order a pasta of the chef's choosing. What she kept ordering were plain scallops, buttered noodles and a side of vegetables. I kept correcting her that I did not want buttered noodles. I stead of listening to me, she kept asking me what type of noodles I wanted. She didn't allow the chef to choose, she wrote linguini. I tried one more time correcting her, Steph wouldn't fix it. The lack of communication is sad. The food: I wish I could talk about the food. I got tasteless butter garlic noodles, three very small tasteless scallops, a side of shaved parmesan and a side of vegetables. I paid $45 dollars to be fed a meal worthy of a picky 2 year old and not what I ordered. I cannot fault the chef. I have no doubt he hated making that dish given what was on that menu. After heavily salting, I gave up after three bites. My boyfriend was very clear with Steph. I was very clear with Steph. She would not listen. Ambiance: is beautiful. Worthy of all the IG pictures. Because they accommodated the food allergy, I chose to not give one star. But honestly they deserve a one star review. Recommendations: Teach your staff how to listen. I had one amazing restaurant that will highlight with a highlighter what I can eat and underline anything that be accommodated. That was probably the best restaurant I have ever experienced.

We started with cocktails. Hubby had a satisfying peach Moscow Mule and I had the Bistro Margarita that was one of the best margaritas I have ever had (and I've had my share). The Grand Marnier prawns were excellent and the Burrata with fresh peaches was amazing. We saw a table of four ladies order the carafe of sparkling cocktails and they clearly enjoyed the order--their glasses came with fresh flowers on each. Lovely. A glance around the restaurant showed other diners were clearly happy. Hubby had the steak frites and I had the poulet frites. Both were great. For dessert, the lemon tart was full of body and luscious and the strawberry gelato was clearly fresh. Service was spot on. Chelan is a seasonal resort town, so many of the servers are 20 or under. I don't know the age of our server Sophie, but her service was top notch and clearly surpassed her age. The place is lovely; decor is tasteful and thoughtful, the restaurant was spotless and it's a lovely dining experience for a great night out. This will become our habit in Chelan.

The mocktails were not only delicious but beautifully presented, which made them feel a little extra special. For appetizers we had the house bread & butter and the French onion soup. The bread was fresh and paired with a high-quality, creamy butter that tasted amazing. The French onion soup arrived in the cutest little pot with a lid and had a rich, savory flavor with perfectly melted cheese on top. Unfortunately, there were whole peppercorns in the soup (I fished out four), which was surprising and almost ruined an otherwise great dish. Entrées were a mix of hits and misses. The grilled salmon with dinner potatoes was the star of the night--perfectly cooked, flaky, and full of flavor. Absolutely spot on. The crab cakes were a good size with lots of crab and a nicely crisp exterior, but I did find pieces of crab shell in mine. The side salad that came with it was the biggest disappointment--no option to swap it out and the lettuce was visibly brown. We also ordered the mushroom pasta. I didn't personally try it, but it looked great; however, I was told the flavor was a bit lacking. Dessert totally redeemed any small issues--the chocolate mousse cake was incredibly decadent and rich. Definitely a must-try. I even took a slice home for my husband. Service was friendly and attentive, drinks were great, and most of the food was very good. Our total was close to $200 for three people, which felt fair for the quality and the occasion. Would come back again--especially for that salmon and the chocolate mousse cake--just hoping for a little more consistency next time
