Here for the night for work and was close to my Airbnb. Ambiance was very welcoming and inviting. Was actually somewhat busy for a Monday night in a small town, especially in April. Sat at the bar and had two bartenders waiting on me. Both were awesome and attentive. Ordered an Old Fashioned and was very impressed. After talking with one of the bartenders, I took her recommendation on the Bolognese Pasta. Had never ordered before, mainly because I can't pronounce it and don't want to sound like an idiot, but think I will again. My fiancé said I would like it and recommended I order it as well. I did like it. Had the right amount of sauce to go with the pasta. Was on the spicy side, but I'm sort of a wimp when it comes to spice. Highly recommend this establishment. read more

It's kind of a hit or miss restaurant. we have gone in as a group when it's empty, and walked out after 10 to 15 minutes waiting for someone to come to our table. On another occasion to give a 2nd chance, our orders were served to everyone at different times. Some of the group were finished eating, while others hadn't even received their meal Yet. A year ago one would not go into this bar. After one year of new ownership the bar is open modern and inviting. The menu has excellent bar food. In two nights I had the burger dip which was excellent and tasted like ground Chuck. I also had the meat lovers pizza which was delicious. This is the place in Manson now that Troy's has closed down to get pizza. The server was friendly and professional. Next time you are in Manson this is a place not to miss. read more

This place has gone way down hill... Our party of 10 had to leave after hearing the waitress slur her words, and it certainly didn't help that she was wearing a hat that clearly showed her political preference. No one wants to go out for dinner and drinks and have such divisive and hateful rhetoric on display. The management must have been on the same page because they had no problem with her wearing it. Another group in front of us also left, because again, no one wants to deal with that when you go out for a fun night. We all ended up a couple doors down and had great food, drinks, and service. The "Sunset Beach Bar" is not the "Sunset Bar", same location different name. We were planning for more of a bar experience. The food was good but more upscale than it previously was. This was exactly what we were looking for with a group of 12 after a golf outing. Outdoor seating was great. Service was very good as well. The cocktails were made with quality and correct portions. The ladies that delivered them were both very respectful, nice and genuinely friendly. Prices are right where they should be. The inside of the restaurant looks nice and clean, more upscale than anticipated from the outside front entry view. Will definitely go back next time in the area. read more

I recently visited Sunset Grill and had a very disappointing experience. One of the servers was wearing a 2024 Trump hat, which I found highly inappropriate for a professional setting. Restaurants should be neutral spaces where all customers feel comfortable, regardless of their political views. I will never return to this establishment. I hope the management addresses this issue promptly. But they allowed it so they probably don't care. But we took our business elsewhere and so did the party of 10 behind us. read more

The second we walked into this place it was awful. We were greeted with "do you have a reservation?" but never asked what our party's name was. We indeed had a reservation so were seated promptly. Our server appeared very distracted, she asked several times what we had ordered for drinks and it took about 15 min to receive our drinks (a draft beer and signature cocktail). We ordered the tacos as an appetizer and they were soggy and limp, very poor quality. Next we each had a salad which was the highlight of the meal. Our entrees (both pasta dishes) were so salty that my husband refused to eat his Cajun pasta dish. I ate my bolognese out of pure hunger but it was terrible. Unless you go on Tiki Thursday. Then it's mediocre at best. Not being a fan of teriyaki anyway can't say I would not recommend any of the three items we did order. And you can't order off their regular menu. . Needless to say we won't be going back on Thursdays. But I would recommend going any other day of the week and ordering off the regular menu. Love this place! We've been here several times and have gotten excellent service and consistently good food each time. The pizza here is the best I've had in the chelan area. Hand tossed doe and cooked in their wood fired oven that is outside. Their Sunset wings are meaty and delicious. The General Tso and Naked wings are our favorites. The burgers are meaty, juicy and big. Maria is an amazing server. Hard worker and excellent at her job. She's not very talkative but probably because she's running her ass off. Clayton is another good server! The regulars here are pretty cool too. They welcomed my 14 year old son and let him play billiards with them. Pretty cool! Sunset, we want to love you. But you need to get your shit together. We've been to this restaurant many times, trying to give them another chance. Because the food is really good and the cocktails are amazing! But every time, there's been some kind of issue. The service is spotty and all the employees seem stressed. The first time there, we heard kitchen staff arguing. The next time, I brought a group of friends. One has a severe nut allergy and we made that clear to the staff. Nonetheless, she had an allergic reaction from her meal, which was a caesar salad. What kind of Caesar has nuts in it?? We had to rush her out and get her to the hospital in Chelan. The restaurant comped our meal, which was nice. But we also heard the table next to us saying their kid had a nut allergy too. I'm hoping they were fine! The servers should be able to tell customers which dishes have nuts in them. Why are the back and front of house not communicating clearly? Well, we tried again recently as we couldn't find another nice restaurant that would take a large group reservation. And again, epic failure. They brought the wrong drinks many times, ignored our table for long periods of time, and again we could hear arguing between the kitchen and servers. The only one who seems to have things together is Carl the awesome bartender. So, Sunset: get your shit together. You can't rely on one-time vacation guests all the time. To win over the locals, you need a solid menu (the selections don't follow any kind of theme), good service, and consistently good food. Help us love you! read more

We had a great dinner at the Sunset last week! The tomato soup was amazing- so fresh, you could tell it was made from locally sourced tomatoes. Food was really good. We ordered chicken strips, cheeseburger and Caesar salad. The pizzas looked really good and we regretted not ordering one. Service was not good though. We were there with 2 small kids and not offered a kids menu (even though we found out later they had one). When I asked if they had a kids cheeseburger, I was told they did not and would have to order a regular cheeseburger from the adult menu (they do have a kids cheeseburger on the kids menu). Food took a long time to come, we were only asked once if we wanted more drinks but then they never brought us those drinks we asked for. The burger they brought out for my 6 year old had all kinds of seeds on it and like most kids she refused to eat it because of all the "weird" seeds. Our waitress told us she was new and didn't know. Well you should probably find out before answering incorrectly. The family and I really like Sunset Bar and Grill. It's a good place to take kids or just go for drinks. They have a pool table that is open to minors which is pretty cool and they have TVs everywhere. The bar does not have a lot of group seating, rather just a row of seating at the bar. Food was really good. We have steak, burger and French dip. All three were really good and would order again in a heart beat. The service was really good. He was friendly and talked to us about the menu, drinks and specials. I really enjoyed our time here and the server made this a 5 star for me. read more

This place is wonderful! I'm in town for a work event and arrived a day early to do some wine tasting. One of the winery staff recommended Sunset. The other (older) couple doing a tasting said Sunset wasn't great (suggested perhaps it was seedy) but I opted to follow the staff's suggestion. When I arrived there were 2 young women sitting at the bar chatting and I immediately felt right at home. The nicest bar tender, Ben, immediately greeted me and at my request offered suggestions on food and wine. His suggestions were awesome! I got the spicy pappardelle (fresh pasta, yes please!) and two wines - a sparkling Lambrusco and a local Syrah. The food was delicious and fast; his wine pairings were so good! I also hear the cocktails are amazing but I'm more of a wine drinker. I highly recommend this place for a nice, easy going place to eat with a good vibe. read more
