Wine with tacky black pour line - that the wine wasn't even poured to.
    Rachel W.

This experience probably falls at a 3.5 for me but since half stars are not an option, we will start at 3. Seated quickly, server was nice and attentive. However, ordered wine and was given a glass with legit black marker on the side. If your bartender can't pour correctly teach them, don't give me a line with a level marker on it like a 5 yr old and then charge me premium for it. Also, they make wine glasses with classier notches to denote poor levels, invest in better glassware if it's an ongoing problem. Felt super tacky, and as the picture shows was under the pour line anyway ??? Bread and super soft bitter was good, salad, good. Mom enjoyed her linguine and chicken livers a rare find, sauce had good flavor and she had plenty leftover. Chicken Aree was sadly flavorless, sauce has zero flavor or spice to it. Chicken had nice breading and was cooked well, broccoli felt microwaved and mushrooms not fully cooked. Would not get that again. Tried to order tiramisu and was told none was defrosted and it would take a couple hours. How is a featured dessert not thawed and ready for a Friday night dinner service? They missed the mark a few places, but I will give them another shot and update accordingly. Updating - after reading other reviews realized that there 100% was NO procsittuto ham on this dish at all, like none. Didn't catch it at the time but look at the pic it's not there just one small pink square that's it, wasn't cut up either will have tasted it and the texture. So didn't even get all the ingredients.

Upon entering we were greeted by multiple friendly by people at the front counter. We sat on the non bar side of the restaurant. The decor is a bit outdated but otherwise it has a clean and comfortable atmosphere. We ordered combination salads and 2 Cajun chicken sandwiches. They serve bread with butter too. I had ranch and my husband had their house creamy Italian... the ranch was ok I definitely recommend the creamy Italian, it was amazing. The Cajun chicken sandwiches were also delish. Our server, Mark was really friendly and upbeat. Overall it was a nice dining experience and I would return.

One thing I love is they kept the Madison's cafe menu alive after frequenting there a lot I was sad to see them leave. The shoe has been filled though! I frequent take out and it's always been a pleasant experience, the staff gets my food and makes sure I got bread and butter for the win!!! The combination salad with that creamy dressing is a must for all salad lovers.

Great Italian spot that's been here for ages feels like. Great for groups or parties. My clients bring me here often for dinner. The older guy that serviced us was so hands on with drinks n Togo containers.

Sorry to say I don't have any pictures of the food to post due to being here for an anniversary party so I couldn't order off menu. This was the former Madison's restaurant and everything is pretty much the same inside, they have a party room, full bar area , some gluten free options non smoking and kid friendly. The menu looked like it had some good choices on it so hopefully I can try it another day. The food I had was good, the salad was great especially liked the creamy Italian dressing and it was loaded with cheese. The grilled Cajun chicken sandwich was delicious, chicken grilled perfectly and just the right amount of Cajun seasoning and covered with melted cheese and grilled peppers and onions.

    Birthday party.

Been here many times and always have great food and service. The pasta con broccoli is my favorite and the combination salad is a must try.

Awesome Italian food. The new owners kept the same menu that Madison's Cafe had. Salads are the best. Friendly service as well.

Wish I could give negative stars. This place is disgusting and the staff is rude. They changed the name, but still the dump it was before.

Caveat: reviewed based on multiple experiences during COVID from October 2020-March 2021…read more Beer list: extensive draft selection and variety. Lines are clean and cared for, and beer selection is clearly curated by someone who is passionate and knowledgeable about craft beer. They are also a brewery and generally have several of their own beers on tap. They do multiple size options at good prices, so you can really take advantage of a nice day out doing some tastings. They also have some canned / bottled beer and do crowler fills. Bar: it's a brewery. Bar is limited. There are a few good liquors available, mostly whiskey and bourbon, with some ciders, seltzers, and possibly a wine or two available. This isn't the place to get a mimosa or a Bloody Mary. It's a brewery. Food: again, they're a brewery, not a gastropub, and do not have a full kitchen. Food is limited to Friday and Saturday (I believe), but is surprisingly good and reasonably priced. Owner seems to continually try to improve selections, and on Fridays during lent has started doing Fish Frys (which were exceptionally good!). If you go in expecting bar-snack type food, you won't be disappointed. There are full restaurants within walking distance. Atmosphere: there are TVs and games, but none of them are loud and in your face. Tables are plenty and well-spaced / distanced, with comfortable seating available. Patio seating is also available. Noise level is generally low enough that you can easily have a conversation. Tables, bar, and bathrooms are clean. Comfortable and welcoming feel. Parking is generally available with a large lot shared with other businesses. Staff: you will generally see the same staff, limited to the owner, bartender, and cook. Which is great, because they are all fantastic. Here's the thing...staff is absolutely genuine. My experiences with the staff have been overwhelmingly positive, but my impression is also that they wouldn't hesitate to put an end to poor behavior. Be nice, be civil, and behave...or be elsewhere. If that appeals to you, then you'll have a great time at Exit 6...which I really appreciate as a patron. Overall: I've formed my above opinions over a few months since moving to the area. After our second visit, they recognized us. After our third, they greeted us by name. After that, I noticed many of the same faces at the tables and bar...and there is a reason for that: the staff creates a comfortable space, with high quality beer and service, at good prices. Think epitome of the classic friendly neighborhood bar. Honest, genuine, and not pretentious.

Exit 6 is located in Cottleville and a great place to try a craft beer in a laid back setting. They…read moreare no longer brewing themselves, but feature a rotating list of other local beers.

From the reservation, to the hostess greeting us and helping us even though we arrived an hour early, to the desserts. The server was knowledgeable and helpful in choosing our food and drinks. It's a small menu, but clearly that allows and incredible focus on the quality and the details. I cannot imagine being unhappy with anything listed. It was decently busy for a Wednesday night but there was plenty of bar seating. The decor is beautiful and I especially appreciated their carefully curated glass and tableware--all stunning. Our bartender, whose name I fail to remember, was excellent. She had great beer recommendations. We tried the Hefe Weissbier (my favorite, which paired perfectly with both appetizers), the Meteor Pils, and the Gaffel Kolsch. I'd recommend all of them if you're a beer drinker! The spinach dumplings are a must. They are bursting with spinach flavor and swimming in a rich brown butter sauce. We also tried the alpine dip, which comes with an enormous soft pretzel. It was okay, but the dip wasn't exactly what we were expecting. I'd probably pass on the alpine dip next time. Overall an amazing experience and I look forward to enjoying a full meal there next visit. Be advised that they pride themselves on seasonal menus so if you're eyeing a menu item, get yourself there to try it before it's gone!
