Quesadilla Birria and Naked Street Tacos-Carnitas
    Mark S.

The 2nd unit of this family-run Mexican restaurant in the area. We have been waiting 3yrs since moving here from Chicago to find a great Mex spot. Chips (crisp) and salsa (good blend of low heat and garlic) were good. Had the Quesadilla Birria loaded with succulent beef and a side of flavorful rice. Consume was muy bueno! Also had the Naked Street Tacos- Carnitas - again, a large amount of juicy, trimmed pork without the common inclusion of pork fat. We will be back frequently for more of their treats!

This was our second time at the newer O'Fallon location, but we've been to their original St Peter's location numerous times. O'Fallon is closer to us so we decided to give it another try. There's a very distinct difference in the ambiance between the two locations. O'Fallon is missing the larger screened in patio and tables are hardwood benches and spaced out really far. The bar is awkwardly placed all the way in the back. The interior design just seems off, but that's not a reflection of the food. We've never had anything bad there except we do not like their salsa. For some it might be exactly what you're looking for in a salsa, but to my entire family and even at times friends we've dined with there, we don't care for it. It's too spicy and almost has an earthy like flavor that tastes kind of dirty. Otherwise, the other food items are good. This time I had the sopa de caldo (pollo versión) so in English it's a very large bowl of chicken soup with a red sauce broth base full of chicken, rice and various other vegetables and packed with flavor. I also had an ala carte chicken soft taco that was VERY good for just a taco. I love the seasoning they use on the grilled chicken and the Mexican cheese too. My spouse got the beef chimichanga and said it was delicious. My daughter got the cheese quesadillas with Spanish rice. Unfortunately, the rice came out cross contaminated with chicken on it and she panicked because she's a vegetarian and obviously doesn't eat meat nor will she eat something if meat has touched anything on the plate. We tried to explain this to the waiter but my daughter felt bad when it seemed like they initially weren't believing us. They did remake the rice, but my daughter never did speak up enough to have them remake the quesadilla so I cannot leave a review on it since she never would attempt to eat it. We also ordered the esquite corn appetizer which looked very appetizing, but upon trying it needed a bit more of the mayo based cream sauce on it. I wouldn't order it again because it was just okay, but pretty much anything else we've had there has been good.

Best game in town!! Used to go to their St Peter's location all the time before they opened this one. I come here about once a week and the service is always fantastic and so is the food. Expansive and creative menu and the staff is so friendly. Celebrated a birthday here and they brought out fried ice cream, sang, and a sombrero. They have the best Birria quesadilla and burrito I have ever had. Prices are fair and portions are big. The inside is so cute too with lots of neon signs and fun photo opps. Highly recommend!!

Mi Mexico Lindo is one of our favorite spots! My husband can't get enough of their birria tacos--they're packed with flavor and always cooked perfectly. I love their specialty margaritas, especially the fun seasonal ones they offer during the holidays, along with their creative margarita flights. The service is always fast and friendly, and the food is consistently great. It's the kind of place you look forward to going back to every time!

They are very good about accommodating larger groups, and the inside is super clean and multiple TVs are inside as well. The food came out quickly after ordering and was super hot when it did come out. The Cheezy chimi was so good and would definitely come back again! Their margaritas are good too, you can do a flight of them to try as well.

We've been here multiple times over the past 2 months, and the food and drinks are consistently great! The chunky guacamole is delicious and fresh. The tacos al pastor are very tasty. We've never had a bad experience and keep coming back to get our Mexican fix!

    Chilaquiles

I eat pretty regularly at the Mi Mexico Lindo on Mexico road. I absolutely love their chilaquiles. I wanted to see if the food was the same at this new location and good news, it was! The chips are decent but I intensely dislike their salsa that comes in a lidded Styrofoam cup. It tastes like tomato juice. The queso is good if you add some Tapatío. For me, the star of this show is the chilaquiles (Fried corn tortillas with salsa roja, two over easy eggs, Cotija cheese, tomatoes, and avocado slices with no crema). They serve this sizzling on a skillet and it has the most delicious onions in it that taste like fajita onions. The egg yolks are runny when you break them open. The sauce has a slight amount of heat. When they brought out my food it had crema on it. I was scraping it off and the waiter noticed and took it away and brought me a new dish without. I really appreciated this! That's good service! Another bonus is they have Diet Dr. Pepper here. I'm not sure how the other food is because I never order anything else. I'll be back again and again!

It was decently busy for a Wednesday night but there was plenty of bar seating. The decor is beautiful and I especially appreciated their carefully curated glass and tableware--all stunning. Our bartender, whose name I fail to remember, was excellent. She had great beer recommendations. We tried the Hefe Weissbier (my favorite, which paired perfectly with both appetizers), the Meteor Pils, and the Gaffel Kolsch. I'd recommend all of them if you're a beer drinker! The spinach dumplings are a must. They are bursting with spinach flavor and swimming in a rich brown butter sauce. We also tried the alpine dip, which comes with an enormous soft pretzel. It was okay, but the dip wasn't exactly what we were expecting. I'd probably pass on the alpine dip next time. Overall an amazing experience and I look forward to enjoying a full meal there next visit. Be advised that they pride themselves on seasonal menus so if you're eyeing a menu item, get yourself there to try it before it's gone!

He was the luckiest out of all of us, tonight. My mom got the Fantasy Roll and she wasn't crazy about it. Mediocre at best. We ordered the shrimp tempura roll for the table and personally I was just not a fan at all... the rice was very mushy and overcooked. The wasabi sauce on top was sweet?? It didn't pair well. As a sushi lover I was disappointed. I really enjoyed the strawberry coconut fizz, though! I love a good dirty soda and they followed suit with the trend nicely. Overall a very OK visit. I think for the prices and quality of the food, I wouldn't come back. However, the service was nice- maybe I'd come back for some drinks.
