We came to this mall around evening time on weekday. It wasn't too busy, though parking lot was super full. It was spacious and pretty clean inside. There were a lot of popular and well known brands, including Macy's and JC Penny. There were few restaurants, bakery and a boba store available as well. But I also noticed few spaces were empty and paper cover on their glass doors. We came here to stop by Dave & Busters. There was no indoor entrance to D&B from the mall, we had to walk out from the main building to enter D&B. But overall this was a decent mall for shopping and dining in this area. read more

Five Stars The Mall That Still Gets It Right Let me start off by saying this. I'd love to hit every single spot in here and give them all their moment, but you're only getting a handful of my favorites because this place is massive. And honestly, that's part of the charm. Clackamas Town Center is what a mall is supposed to be. You've got the movie theater, a legit food court, a full-on carousel, and hundreds of shops that'll keep you wandering longer than you planned. And here's something real. When it's hot outside or you've got kids bouncing off the walls, stepping into that air conditioning feels like you just made a life decision that matters. You'll walk this place and accidentally get your steps in. It's the kind of exercise you don't argue with. They've got little things that make a difference too. A koi pond that slows you down for a second. Kid corners where families can reset. It's not just shopping. It's an experience you can stretch into a whole afternoon without even trying. Now let's talk convenience, because this place nails it. TriMet runs right through here with both bus and MAX light rail access. There's a park and ride, which is clutch. You can literally park your car and take the MAX straight out to Portland International Airport and skip the airport parking headache. That alone makes this place a power move. And the surrounding lineup is stacked. You've got the Residence Inn right in the mix, plus food spots like Claim Jumper, Oswego Grill, Mezcaluna, and fun like Dave and Buster's. Whether you're eating, hanging out, or making a night of it, it's all right there. Fun fact time. This mall first opened back in 1981 and has gone through multiple expansions to become one of the largest shopping centers in Oregon. It's also one of the few in the region that still feels modern, alive, and constantly evolving while others have slowed down or faded out. Inside, you've got everything from AT&T to REI and more shops than you'll realistically hit in one trip. You can come here for a couple errands and somehow lose a few hours without regret. Only downside. Parking can be a mission. You might end up a bit of a walk out. But honestly, that just adds to the experience. More steps, more time, more reason to wander. In my opinion, this is the mall in the Portland area. The others might exist, but this one actually delivers. It's clean, it's modern, it's full of life, and it gives you a reason to come back. Great mall! Much cleaner than Washington Square, Mall, especially the bathrooms. I love the food court and the fact that they have some old school options like Popeyes and taco time, and that they're not just filled with boba tea vendors. I like how everything is spread out and there's a great selection in the separate Macys home store. The only thing I wish they still had was Nordstrom, and I know that has closed but that was sort of a linchpin for me with this mall. In general I wish they had additional upscale options, other than Coach. But it's a great mall and will definitely be back. read more

The hubby and I like the Clackamus Town Center! Visited the Portland suburbs in this Clackamus/Happy Valley, Oregon this past Independence Day weekend. It's a bustling mall with your typical corporate stores like Macy's, Dick's Sporting Goods, Kohl's Barnes and Nobles and more. The unique local store I was interested in was Made in Oregon. For that, I have a separate review for. The food court was busy that Saturday afternoon and we stopped by a smoothie shop and enjoyed them at one of many table and chairs in the food court. In the food court there is a merry go round for kiddos to enjoy. Although we did not eat there, a good selection of various restaurants and fast food is available. I recently had a nasty injury that has required me to use a knee scooter for improved mobility when I leave the house. It's been a humbling experience having to hobble around as I attempt getting in and out of my car, navigate escalators, and traverse parking lots with my awkward equipment. But I appreciate this ever-so-brief glimpse into the challenges folks with limited mobility face on a day to day basis. I spent the afternoon shopping at Clackamas Town Center today, and had a mostly positive experience as I made my way around the mall. There were, however, a few minor challenges. I circled the mall trying to find the best entrance that enabled me to park as closely as possible. Interestingly, there aren't any entrances that are easily accessible by car. As I don't have a special parking permit, I found myself parking pretty far from the entrance. This wouldn't have been too much of a problem, except for the fact that the pavement in the parking lot was deeply rutted and the surface was incredibly uneven. I've never paid attention to surfaces like this before, but it wasn't until I'd made my way across the parking lot and safely made it to the pedestrian only plaza near Dough Zone that I felt comfortable. It was smooth sailing once I made it that far. I appreciated the wide walkways and clear signage throughout most of the mall. I was able to find escalators and elevators with ease, and the mall had plenty of places to rest when needed. I made use of the benches and relaxation zones found throughout the mall. Who knew using a knee scooter would take so much energy? Kneeling and propelling myself with one leg requires muscles I don't normally use! I'll pay more attention to accessibility at the businesses I review in the future, and appreciate those who take the diverse needs of their customers into consideration. read more

I think this mall is okay - good selection of stores for the most part. I have a few issues with this mall, one being the nursing rooms available....Talk about lack of privacy, there is a massive hole in the top and bottom of the door. Secondly it so damn dirty - clean the elevator every now and then. Plus I saw cleaners working and they were dusting the railing and just pushing it over the edge and whats worse?! They were pushing the dirt and dust into a food stand that was below. Gross. read more

Just bought an engagement ring and grabbed Cinnabon to celebrate. While waiting, my girlfriend and I shared a quick kiss, nothing wild, nothing inappropriate. Some security dude immediately jumped in to lecture us about "making out," which was awkward as hell and completely unnecessary in a public mall full of couples, kids, noise, and real issues. Clackamas Town Center wants to look like a modern shopping mall but runs it like Greater Idaho in spirit. If basic human affection is a problem, maybe throw up a sign so people know what decade they're stepping into. read more

I just took the MAX to Clackamas Town Center, and it was happening Mannnnn! It has been a while, I assumed this mall would be as sad as most malls are these days. I was wrong. The place looks almost exactly like it did several years ago, before COVID. The addition of Dicks sporting goods is solid. Seeing that Barnes & Noble bookstore again, gave me hope for us all! We went looking for See's Candy, hoping it had not become a massage parlor. It had not, See's was packed with humans searching for chocolate. We topped it off with a Fish Taco lunch at the Claim Jumper... Clackamas was quite a flashback, in a very good way. read more

While other malls in the area seem to be shrinking this one is still always full of people and shops. The people can be frustrating when it's busy, but that's normal. The main aisle never seems big enough especially when you put kiosks in the middle. I really like the selection of stores at this mall. You have most of the big names but also smaller brands between the two levels. They have koi in the pond outside of Macys! Makes for a fun change from the normal experience. read more

BEWARE!!! Do not use the EV Chargers at Clackamas Town Center. The new company attached to the chargers is awful. Volt. The app is horrible, doesn't send you notifications about your impending time limit. They charge you $1 a minute after 2 hours. You can't see cost or time charging in the app and charger doesn't show cost when you unplug. Just paid $65!!! Charge your car at your peril! read more

The slow death of Lloyd Center has been endlessly discussed in news articles as of late; another casualty of the rise of online shopping, they say. And yet Clackamas Town Center continues to thrive, bucking that trend in every way possible. What drives the divergence between these two landmark shopping centers? How can one be so full of life, while the other deteriorates, clinging to life support, it's handlers ready to pull the plug? Is it the location? Lloyd Center was once the premier shopping location in a bustling downtown, close to freeways, hotels and the convention center. It had everything going for it. But over the years, mismanagement and neglect by city officials led to urban decay and a massive spike in crime, transforming the area around Lloyd Center into an undesirable no-mans-land. Meanwhile, Clackamas Town Center blossomed in the fringes of suburbia, far enough removed from the dilapidated streets of Portland to avoid the city's necrotic touch, and ready to receive the fleeing masses seeking a reprieve from the doom and gloom of the City of (Withered) Roses. Our last visit to Clackamas Town Center was revelatory: it showed us that the America retail experience is still alive and well. True, it was the weekend of Black Friday, but there's more to the story than that. Almost every storefront was occupied with one shop or another, whereas more than half of Lloyd Center's tenant spaces are boarded up. And it was *crowded* here, full of shoppers who *wanted* to be here, soaking in the Christmas shopping experience, the pleasure of being out and about, and the sense that things have mostly returned to normal, nearly two years since COVID-19 emerged and ruined so many things we took for granted. Sure, Clackamas Town Center is just a mall...but it's a mall that still provides that mall shopping experience that has been lost almost everywhere else, whether due to Amazon, COVID, or incompetent city officials. With Nordstrom's, Macy's and JC Penny's as the anchor stores, Clackamas Town Center is a large mall with lots of mid and lower tier stores, a food court and movie theatre - basically a mall of yesteryear. There just isn't anything that is a draw. I've been here a few times, usually to pick up an item I ordered online and didn't want to pay the shipping! So I have it sent to Nordstrom's or JC Penny and while I'm there I take a stroll and check out the stores on the inside. Macy's is the one anchor store that I have the best success with. They have a lot of inventory, the store is clean, spacious and the salespeople are helpful. As I stated in a review of Nordstrom's, the CTC store is a pale comparison to Washington Square; it has far less inventory in every department. JC Penny's seams to be going downhill. The store is always a mess with merchandise piled around looking more like a Ross than a mid range department store. The Walking Company is one of the stores I make a special trip to visit. They have a lot of shoes for people like me who need extra arch support or cushioning to alleviate planters facitiis. Also enjoy perusing Katmandu for comfortable and colorful Cotten clothing and ethnic trinkets and home decor. They have a Made in Oregon Store, a Barnes and Noble and an Oregon Duck store. The food court has the usual suspects (Sbarro, Jamba Juice, Auntie Anne's, Cinnabon, Panera Bread) and some of the larger popular chains like California Pizza and Dave & Busters. With all the amazing food carts and restaurants in a Portland, I'm not a fan of chains. There is a huge parking lot and since the mall footprint is sprawling, be prepared to walk. I usually park at whatever anchor store I'm visiting. The mall is clean and spacious. Lots of kiosks in the walkways including those super annoying lotion peddlers. Does anyone ever buy that super expensive crap? Personally, I prefer the strip mall across the street that has a Cost Plus Market, Target, Nordstrom Rack and Jays Wide shoes. read more

I took my service dog to the mall to get some training in, and a FAKE service dog lunged at her and I yelled at the owner telling her that she cannot have a pet in the store unless it is a service dog. And then she started screaming at me telling me how do I know it's not a service dog and I'm like because it's in a troll. You can't have a service dog in a trolley because it affects the way that they task. So it's not a service dog you're not allowed to bring emotional support animals into a public place that is not pet friendly. Please don't bring your pets into the mall. My service dog is medical alert and if she misses an alert service dog so if she misses an alert that can be fatal for me. read more

One of the nicer malls in the Portland area but that's not saying much tbh. Good selection of stores but could use some more variety in the food options. I do appreciate that there's several TVs around the place that display the upcoming arrivals for the buses at the stops next to Barnes & noble and the movie theater, lowkey that's saved my ass from missing my bus a couple times. Also it's dumb af that you have to call someone if you wanna use the single stall restrooms next to the food court. I understand this area has drug issues but I'm transgender and I'd rather not have to explain that to some mall employee when questioned why I want to use the single stall family restroom despite not having any kids with me (esp since hate crimes against trans people are on the rise). read more

Moving to a rural location many many many miles from here, I have come to miss the Clackamas Town Center. This is as complete a mall in the Pacific NW as you could want. Boasting a massive state of the art movie theater and every shopping need you could want, this is a great location to spend an afternoon. The mall is also surrounded by a ton of other shopping and dining businesses and is also connected to two arterial highways to help you get across town along with a mass transit system that cannot be beat. Worth the trip and is the best mall in the Portland Metro area and dare I say it - the Pacific NW. read more

Of all the malls in the Portland area, this one and Washington Square are the only ones that are really thriving in today's rough retail climate. I have a soft spot for shopping malls as I frequented them throughout my youth, and there is a certain reliable comfort in knowing I can go to the same stores every time and also whiff up the Auntie Anne's/Cinnabon smell. They also have many stores that you probably thought went out of business long ago- Barnes and Noble, Dick's Sporting Goods, etc. I went here the other day to pick up an online order from Barnes and Noble, and it was just nice to walk around in an indoor mall and remember my youth. I didn't even grow up with this mall, but it reminds me of many that I have been to throughout the country. The food court looks quite awesome too, and there is one of the only Dave and Buster's locations that I know of in the state of Oregon. No more ice rink, unfortunately, but the restrooms are clean! read more

Stopped by the Clackamas Town Center for first time while visiting Oregon. I'm a foodie so I researched the restaurants before going. I thought it was weird that the majority of the food places had very few reviews like they just opened recently. There was a good variety and selection. As I walked through the mall, I was approached by an Avinichi representative saying that what he had to show me would only take 10 seconds. It became a waste of my time. He demonstrated an eye system to reduce wrinkles and puffiness at a cost of $500 and a free visit to get infra red on my neck. He applied the system to one eye only. He told me to look in the mirror to see the WOW. I told him I don't see any WOW. I don't spend money like that without researching such an expensive product first. He kept telling me he could answer all my questions, I said I wanted to do unbias research. Then he tried to guilt me with passive aggressive comments like "not everyone can afford this" and "this isn't for everyone". Usually, I write these reviews by just stating the facts and let the reader come to their own conclusions. But, I just have to say he started sounding like a sleazy used car salesman and his french accent didn't help. I left but later walked by the kiosk again and the other Avinichi salesperson approached me. She recognized me from earlier in the day. She too had an accent. When I expressed I still wasn't interested with the product at this point, as I wanted to do research. She did the passive aggressive thing like her partner with the same comments, "this isn't for everyone", and she kept repeating this over and over. When I did do research, I found that this business is a scam. They hit major malls and entice older women by pointing out their facial flaws. Victims usually end up spending $1000+. The product changes names once they get too many complaints and the scams starts all over again. Oh the mall... The fast-becoming-a-relic of suburbia. Despite this, my inner mall rat refuses to die. So, I made my way to Clackamas Town Center yesterday afternoon. (Yes... on a drizzly Saturday afternoon on a holiday weekend... What's wrong with me?) If you're looking for an old school mall, with tons of stores, a food court, and movie theaters, this is the place. While the ice rink is gone (the one made famous by Tonya Harding in her youth), everything else is there. The parking lot is ginormous. The MAX Green line stops right there. Convenience 101. I remember when the Town Center opened. (I grew up in Clackamas County and it was a big deal.) I worked here, spent many hours and dollars here as a youngun. While the mall has been remodeled and spruced up over the years, it's definitely a nostalgia trip every time I visit. My mind travels back to the late-80s... Contempo used to be there. Square Pan pizza there. The arcade over there. JC Penney is still there. I worked there for several years long ago, so it's fun to wander through the store. The Macy's is nice. Barnes and Noble, H&M. All the stores you would want to visit in a mall. And, they have a goodly amount of restrooms, unlike other local malls. What I could do without is people pushing samples on me right and left. Sure, it was fun to try the Orange Julius Berry Smoothie, but the dude with the eye serum was a little out of hand. Although, I played along for fun. $299 when I can spend .89 on a cucumber and get the same result? You know you're in a real mall during the holidays when you stumble across the Hickory Farms stand. I don't eat meat, especially processed meat, but for those who do, boxes of summer sausage and cheddar blocks galore. So if you're looking for a true suburban mall experience, head out to Clackamas Town Center. If you are there on a Saturday, the entire population of Clackamas County will likely be there too. read more

Good homecoming dress shopping with Macy's, JC Penney's, Winsorstore and I saw alteration shop in mall as well. Food court and everything totally open. We also enjoy coming here as they have some stores that are not available in our area like Barnes and Noble, Box Lunch, Think Geek....and so much more. We finally rented those stuffed animal carts and the kids had a blast cruising around the mall! They even gave a extra time as we requested more time! One of my son's also discovered a great store with statues and other interesting decor. We can't wait to go back as it has been a few months! They also have some great choices for food. First time coming to this mall, and definitely my favorite one in the area! Lots of parking space, but it also means you can expect to do some walking as the close ones are always taken. It's clean and has a sense of upscale compared to the other malls I've been to. Since it was my first time here, I found it very easy to not know where I was walking because as I found out, there are connecting buildings. You could wander around here for hours and easily drain your wallet. Decently sized food court for when you get hungry and a small indoor pond if you feel like staring at koi fish (don't throw your coins in though). All the employees I've met were kind and helpful. I did see security guards around often, so that's a nice. I didn't get the sense that it was a outdated mall or anything, as I did at another mall. Aside from that, I can't give it 5 stars because it's not like it's some super awesome mall or anything. Most malls are like a basic present wrapped up, gets the job done. This mall is like a present wrapped up, but with a bow on top. If I'm looking for more upscale stores, then I'll come back here surely. Or at least if I'm in the area. read more

I don't like malls, so this rating is based on the compromise of my self-knowledge. So I don't like malls and I didn't love this one... BUT... I recognize that this is a HUGE mall and has many stores and lots of convenience. Bathrooms are available and well marked. It took a minute to find parking, but we did eventually find parking and it wasn't too terribly far from the entrance. I saw in other reviews that there was a theft problem, but we actually thought they had excessive security in the parking lot - good to know they are aware and addressing that issue. I hope I never have to return, because I hate malls, but if you need a variety of stores and have limited time, this could be the place. read more

Great stores inside this mall. They have a few major department stores which tend to have more selections than others in the Portland metro area. They also have some cute boutiques. The food court is typically clean and so the restrooms are a hit or miss in cleanliness. The food selection there is okay. My favorite is Charley's Cheestakes. The parking lot is congested too and the spaces are tightly next to each other. They need more parking lots. read more

From my perspective, Clackamas Town Center is really neat, as well as very awesome too. I find it to be a great place to not only go shopping, but also a great place to be inspired by as well. To start with, I like the food court on the second floor, mostly because of Sbarro, Jamba Juice and Cinnabon as my three favorites. Jamba Juice is really awesome, and the Strawberries Wild is delicious too. There's also Sbarro, which has really awesome pizza. My favorite is the cheese pizza, which I see as delicious, along with the garlic breadsticks, which goes really well with the garlic dipping sauce. Then, if you want a really good and tasty treat, Cinnabon is what I call the best; the scent of the cinnamon rolls makes me feel like I have found something to behold. Plus, they aren't very expensive, either; instead, the price is just right. :) And, there's even Barnes and Noble, GameStop, the Disney Store, the Made in Oregon store and ThinkGeek, to name a few. In conclusion, I highly recommend Clackamas Town Center to those who like malls and stores like the ones mentioned above. I give it five stars (although ten stars would be even better). :) read more

Clackamas Town Center's restaurant selection is much better than most malls here in Portland and Oregon. For that reason, visit here for food because parking is generally easy. However, for the store selection, it's gone down so much to the point that I don't have much of a reason to visit to shop here. The bright spot is that they still have Disney (the only one left in Oregon), REI, a new Dick's Sporting Goods location, LuluLemon, and Barnes and Noble. If you like Korean Fried Chicken, make sure to Bonchon (it's good). read more

It's an alright mall, biggest one around with great selections of stores. The food court has good variety even during the pandemic. Much better than Lloyd Center food court. Only major complaint is regarding the cult chicken joint across the street. It makes coming here off the highway a literal nightmare. Best part of this mall is the transient who waits for the 33 bus He guards the bus stop by the Cinema and is known for having daily fire sales at the food court bathroom with a massive dump. He's this bootleg old man with an eyepatch and cane. He's always flipping people off and bumming cigs. If I had a nickel for every time this guy cussed me or any bystander off I'd have three houses. read more

Don't go to Clackamas Mall it's too dangerous. We witnessed young men getting it in a scuffle with the homeless man that started with these young men throwing rocks at him. The homeless man attempted to fight back and one of these young men pulled out a gun. I called the police multiple times other people around me called the police we spoke with the security as well and nothing was done. As I was driving out of the mall I saw the young men sitting contently on one of the decorative rocks in the parking lot. Please be safe and stay aware read more

Not a bad mall. Not spectacular, but not bad either. I've never been terribly impressed by it. I'd much rather go to Washington Square or the outlet mall in Woodburn, if I'm going to a mall near Portland. Those would be my preferences. The mall is large, with a ton of places outside in the parking lot as well. I enjoy a couple of restaurants nearby, and some stores. The problem with this mall is there's really nothing special to draw me in. I can stay home and get the exact same stores, and only have to drive a few miles. At least at Washington Square, there is a variety. If I'm stopping at a mall far away from home, I want different and unique places to go. This place is easy to get lost in too. I've lost my car more than once, and I'm usually really good at paying attention to where i go in at to be able to find my way back. In fact, I can usually help others find their vehicles if I notice they are lost at most places I go. Here, I can't do it because I'm busy being lost. Which I find annoying and I would just rather not waste my time. Would I return? I'm sure i will one day, but it's definitely not my absolute first choice in malls to go to. Darn things are way overpriced but they are yummy and delicious and I already want one now! The Ole School Carousel in the Food Court is cool. There are a few small rides for the kids to enjoy. Bathrooms in the food court area are nice and with a seating area just before the restrooms for.... Resting. There is plenty to do and see throughout the year at the mall. For example. One lady keeps great customer value first before going to something else to get taken care of. Felt bad but I think she deserves a longer break. B&N seems to keeps their manga updated, like a family of genre is also like ours own community. FYE is highly recommended for the amazing snacks, great value selection as the pocky snack food truck for 19.99. That's a great price. Extremely busy on Black Friday! Be prepared to wait in longer lines as you are getting ready to check out especially at Macy's and Aeropostale! Nice mall and been there since I was a little kid! No more Sears, though. read more
