While I did eventually get a refund, it came with incredibly rude customer service over the phone and a demand that I walk in person to prove the balloons were faulty. The party ended up with no balloons, and since it was a holiday, I had no way to replace them in time. Bottom line: don't buy balloons here unless you're okay with sad, sinking balloons that don't float and even worse customer service.

I have shopped there on several occasions for various gifts and decorations including balloons for my son's birthday. Today, I stopped there to purchase an Easter basket for my son. I initially picked up a wooden basket, but afterwards saw a cloth option and put the wooden one back. I asked the black man who is usually standing around in the store (not sure if he is the manager) if there were any other cloth basket options and he said no. I then went to checkout and pay for the cloth basket, while the cashier was ringing me up, he (the black man) approached me with another cloth basket. I initially thought he was trying to get me to buy two, but then he stated that I had two cloth baskets, I told him that I only had one, but he continued to assert that I had picked up two. He then asked to check the Trader Joe's bag I was carrying, which was shocking to me, my guess is that he confused the wooden basket I had with a cloth basket and I explained to him that I had previously picked up a wooden basket and showed him where I put it back on the shelf. I also then opened my bag to show him that I did not have another cloth basket. It was extremely embarrassing and humiliating to be essentially accused of stealing an easter basket. He did not apologize and kept mumbling about another bag. I obviously did not purchase the overpriced cloth easter bag, left the store and bought one at Target instead. I will never set foot in this store again and will make sure that my other mom and neighborhood friends will not either! I also unfortunately believe that this accusation would not have been made if I was a white woman. There are many google reviews about the rude customer service at this store, but the blatant racism was not something I was expecting and was very upsetting.

I ordered a balloon arrangement for a health fair I was running at a major hospital in NYC. The arrangement was to say "DIABETES" "FAIR" with the balloons for each word connected. I said this several times when telling the sales person what I wanted. I also made it clear, and it was written on my receipt, that the balloons needed to be delivery by 11am at the latest on Nov 12th. Well, Nov 12th comes along and it's 11:40am. I'm running around trying to get stuff together and didn't get a chance to call them until then. I ask where my delivery is. The woman says, "I don't see anything here. Are you sure it's today?" I say, "Yes, and the date and time that the order is to be delivered is on my receipt." Someone else then comes on the phone and asks incredulously, "That's today?!" Again I answer, "Yes!" Then she say, "just give us 20 minutes." Which I knew was impossible, because it would take 20 min just to get to me and it didn't sound like she had the order. I asked if the order was prepared and if it wasn't to just cancel it and give me a refund. But then they said, "Oh we can't do that, the order is already started." I told them that the event ends at 3pm so there's really no point since it will be halfway over by then. The woman refused saying she'd be to me in 20 minutes which was a complete lie since they obviously hadn't started the order prior to my call. Of course 20 minutes later, they're still not there. 12:50pm the delivery woman finally arrives (who I will say was very nice). She gets there and says the "T and the E flew away!!!" And then asks if I still need them? Like, hello, what am I supposed to do with DIABES FAIR?! They didn't connect the letters like they were supposed to either. Each was just an individual jumbo letter on a string with no weight attached (obviously since 2 letters blew away). She goes back to the store to get the other letters and I realize the "I" from FAIR is also missing, so I have DIABES FAR. I start tying what I have of the letters to the chairs since the letters are connected for me to make an arch with each word. Finally she returns with the E, T, and I around 1:20pm and I am able to setup but it looked terrible since the letters were freestanding. I could have bought jumbo letters from the 99 cent and up store for $2.50 and then a dollar and change at the hospital gift shop for helium and saved a lot of money since they didn't even bother to do an arrangement. Instead I ended up paying them $10 a letter. Other places are around $20 a letter which seemed expensive to me, but maybe it's worth it if you actually get what you're asking for. Lastly, usually I just use Yelp for restaurants, but I learned my lesson that I should use it for other businesses as well. If I had seen the 2 stars for this place, I would have never ordered from them.

I explained that I passed by the shop before their closing time (6.30pm) and they were closed and she said that she leaves between 6 and 6.10pm everyday since she has "things to do". I asked what day she stays until a little later and she said Friday. I told her I was the woman who called looking for sashes and she went on and on explaining that I need to tell her with time and that is not something she can do is 2 seconds. She said this without allowing me to explain when I needed the sashes. I politely told her to wait a second and slow down because it seems that she is not listening to me and she VERY RUDELY said "no, it's just that I have things to do". I told her ok and that I will just go somewhere else and she said "Ok goodbye, God bless you". I would never give this woman business and you shouldn't either
