This maximizes your value by layering sale offers with reward certificates. It's a good place to get a gift for a younger friend or relative on your list. This is a smallish store, so maybe not quite as much selection as a few of the other locations. We used Claire's once upon a time for my daughter's first ear piercings when they were babies and now that they're teenagers we're back for second ear lobe piercings! For the record, I tried to find a piercer that used a needle instead of a gun- no one was available and I had to get it done today so my daughter had time to heal before having to pull them out for a tournament. Lia is great at ear piercing, she is super helpful and friendly (she wears the cutest vintage sweaters) and she handled a whole store full of people with patience and ease. This was the second time we have had my daughter's ears pierced at Claire's. Both piercers paid great attention to disinfection and earring placement and we have not had any problems. We spent about $10 more to get the stronger formula ear cleaner and $10 more to get the 14k gold studs- the less chance of infection/reaction the better. Cost was about $90 for everything and includes a year long membership for 1 free pair of earrings per month of our choice- up to $17 value or so. All in all, great experiences. read more

Got my first ear piercing here last night and I am happy! I came in around 7pm last night and the shop was pretty busy. There were lots of kids and the shop is pretty small. The customer service is good and were helpful when choosing different earrings. The actual process was very quick. I got mine pierced one at a time but you can also get them both done at the same time. It took 5 minutes for the piercing and demonstration on how to clean your ears. The total cost was $70 including RAPID SOLUTION (in 3 weeks i can change), the piecing process, and 4 mm CZ diamond earrings. I made the mistake of bringing my 8 year old daughter here to get her ears pierced spur of the moment and after 10 months her ears are still not healed and always have puss/feel tender. Trust me -- It really is worth it to just go to a piercer at a tattoo shop. I seriously regret bringing her here and my daughter is probably going to have to take her earrings out, let her ears heal, and HOPEFULLY will get the courage to get them pierced again by an actual piercer. I confess, I never shop at Claire's. I feel embarrassed to feel like the mother of everybody there, however taking from the hands of innocent little girls some accessories yelling 'is mine, mine and I saw it first". And gome some cute charm-bracelets for $9.50 with the most unbelieveably cute Parisian theme useless adorabilia, as now I like to call all these little pleasures that serve to nothing. Claire's is a nice shop (for young girls mostly) but hey, if you don't like to spend money in frames (glasses) in expensive real optic stores and you like color and whimsical, nothing can beat these $6 glasses here! They are supposed to be for teems, but I tried some and looked good on me (sorry to say). Is a pity that they did not have my red color, otherwise I would have gotten several pairs. My friend and I went in to Claire's to get extra piercings in our ears. After the procedure, we were instructed how to clean, and provided with a disinfectant solution. How ever- almost 6 month later our piercings have not healed and they are red, infected and swollen. We both been using the solution, but switched to hydrogen peroxide, since that's what worked when I had my first piercing 50 years ago. I believe the instrument used was dirty! We have followed to disinfection instructions. I do not recommend this store! read more

I hit up Claire's on Friday for some important costume components... tiara, sash, etc. They had what I needed although I might have tried the sash on before I bought it. It was six year old girl sized, but hey, I'm easy... I made it work. The thing I love about Claire's is they have almost every accessory you could want and if they don't, they at least have something close. Plus, it's so SPARKLY there! The prices are mostly reasonable. Some might be a little more than I'm willing to pay for costume jewelry, but they usually have a lot of clearance and the regular priced items are usually fairly priced. I came here to get my second lobes re-pierced. After being in the military for 5 years, they had grown up. I marked where I wanted the piercing to be and it was still screwed up. Not on the dot at all. I pulled my earrings out in my car and re-did them myself when I got home. You can find cheaper, better made, surgical steel earrings online. Even an at-home ear piercing kit that you can do them yourself for better quality. Basically you're over paying for a half-decent bottle of solution. I got my cartilage pierced here a couple months ago with my friend. I was bit nervous because they used the gun to pierce ears. Ive heard that if you pierce your cartilage with a gun, it can shatter it. The lady who pierced me and my friends ear was very informative which calmed me down. After she pierced our ear, she told us how to clean it and how long we would need to keep the piercing in. Tbh, all it felt like was a small pinch. She was friendly and skilled (and patient, which always helps!) and explained everything clearly, including after care. It's been a couple weeks and the piercings are doing well, and the earrings have both managed to stay on. I was worried the earrings would fall out, or my daughter would manage to fidget them off, but I've only had to tighten the backs one time so far. With the three-week healing cleaner (as opposed to the less expensive 6 week healing cleaner) I paid $66, and then I got some extra little perks as well, like 20% off my total purchase (not including piercing). read more

You probably will do better piercing your own ears than letting any of these people pierce them. My piercings are so uneven and one of my ears closed so I went back to get it repierced and in an attempt to try to make them even the lady left me with a huge hole in my ear because she pierced it in a completely different place than where it was before. She also put the back of the earring on so incredibly wrong (don't know how you can mess that up) that I literally cannot get my earring out of my ear. I made sure I bought what the salesgirl said were 14k earrings when piercing my daughter's ears. There is no way the quality of gold or concentration of gold is 14k. We've cleaned them as recommended and both lobes are infected and have been bleeding for two months. I finally gave up and took the earrings out. It's been a traumatic experience for my child.
