Seriously amazing! Will makes everything so easy and the food was over the top. We had a surprise birthday party for my husband in front of our condo on the beach in Mission Beach. The Clambake catering team brings everything you need- tables and chairs (for up to 35 ppl), tablecloths, trays, bibs. You name it. I've seen some beautiful pics of people that added decor to the tables. I had intended to but then got behind schedule and ended up not putting it out. Didn't matter. Tables were great. And of course you're on the sand so what's not to like! Will's team made a point to set up the tables so no one had their back to the ocean. We did Menu #1 as is on their website. They can customize but it sounded amazing so we went with it! They broke up some of the whole lobsters (they asked first) for the less adventurous that didn't know what to do with a whole lobster. Because he's from the east coast and grew up with shellfish we wanted to do something as close to an authentic clam boil that we could find. Will catered my parents' 60th anniversary celebration spread out in my backyard yesterday and it turned out GREAT! They arrived on time, got everything set up efficiently, and did a nice little demo on how to take apart a lobster to get at the meat. Will was extremely easy to work with and accommodating every step of the way, and patiently dealt with all of my questions and changes. We had some who were lactose intolerant so he used soy butter where possible. He was extremely flexible with modifying the menu for us, and all of our guests were thrilled. He also gave us all of the leftovers. Wow! What a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Will was very easy to work with as we were planning our dinner in San Diego from Indiana. He worked with us on our menu as well as suggestions on location. Hiring Will and Clambake Catering was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding weekend! My husband's family is from Boston, and we thought it would be fun to do a New England Lobster Bake for our rehearsal dinner since we were doing a traditional California vineyard wedding the day after. Since most of our guests were traveling from out of town, we decided to invite everyone to the rehearsal dinner and treat it as a wedding pre-party, complete with a full bar and DJ! My husband is a self-proclaimed Lobster-snob (growing up on the east coast and going to college in Maine) and was particularly picky about the food being served at the lobster bake. We are SO glad we found Clambake Catering, because not only was Will and his staff wonderful to work with, but the food was also delicious; some of the best lobster, clam chowder, and overall meal we have had, in and outside of Maine and the East Coast! From the food trial, through the planning process, and until the end of the event, Will was responsive, kind, and professional. Will worked with us to make sure we stayed in budget for our 100+ guests, and handled our various last minute changes. He even allowed us to grab many of the materials from him a week earlier so we could make "lobster survival kits" for the event. When his team arrived, they handled everything from start to finish and required nothing from us. They truly bring everything they need with them (not even needing a power outlet!). All of our guests could not stop raving about how great the food was, how wonderful Will and his staff was, and how fun the whole experience was. This is an AMAZING family-owned catering company!!! I hosted a surprise dinner party for my husbands 40th birthday. We had 21 guests. Everything went off without a hitch!!!! They were able to pull everything off, even with unexpected pouring rain! We had to bring the buffet table inside (we originally planned to do this outdoors), and they made it happen no problem. We didn't have enough seating as a result, and they were able to provide a table and chairs, last minute to accommodate it all. My guests RAVED about the food. Why? Because it was amazing!!!!
