Came here as one of my favorite food trucks is parked nearby. I love that they offer outdoor seating, great because I get to bring my dog and relax for a bit. This visit, I got one of their recommended beers. They offer different sizing and this one is a half glass. Tasted delicious and went down smooth and clean, didn't really have a strong taste to it. The hops and flavors were mild and almost made me forget I was drinking beer. Definitely would recommend to someone trying beer for the first time.

Pros: - Biggest selection of beer for a brewery in the bay area. Every visit is something new and keeps it very interesting! - Great atmosphere with a lot of games and an outdoor area which makes it easy to take kids or to hang out w/ friends - Friendly staff who is attentive and down to earth. Not snobby about samples and hustling! Cons: - No food options except a food truck. I get they focus on beer but would be nice to have some options! - A bit pricey per pour so be prepared for craft beer pricing Overall, this place is great and would definitely recommend to friends with confidence!

Trying graf for the first time (beer and cider hybrid!) a rare treat that you don't always find!

My husband and I stopped by here on a Thursday evening around 7:45, not knowing it was trivia night. We were confused by the hours posted online (website says they close at 9, Yelp says 10) so we called to check and it's 9:30 as of the writing of this review (November 2023). The brewery was packed but we managed to find a table for two. We brought sandwiches from home, but there was also a food truck there and a lot of people were grabbing tacos and burritos. We settled in and enjoyed our beers while watching the trivia competition unfold. The host was hilarious and all the teams were in it to win it. Very fun atmosphere, even if you're not playing! Service was friendly and we were able to try multiple tastes. I was excited to find a graf beer, which is a beer and cider hybrid. This particular one is called Dark Tower (a nod to a Stephen King novel) and it was delicious. Although I can't remember what my husband got, he liked it as well. We can't wait to come back!

The raspberry cake seltzer. Spot on flavor. Little sweet. But it's in the name

Great brewery been around for some time. Always great food trucks outside. Beer is always rotating. Today light drinks due to its 95freaking degrees outside. Bartenders always friendly engaging and attentive. Parking is the only limitation, likely on the street.

Another amazing brewery located in San Jose. Clandestine has both indoor and outdoor seatings. You need to show your COVID-19 vaccination card to be able to sit indoor. Parking is kind of limited but there are plenty of street parking on the side. Clandestine has pretty good selection of beer. My friend got the blueberry one and I could smell the fruit fragrance just by sitting next to them. I got the Triple Agent, quite bitter for me but really refreshing. Nothing beats a hot day better than a glass of cold beer. I do recommend the flight to try different types of beer. This is a good place to hang out with friends and family. Pet and kids friendly. Plus super fast service.

1st time in nice place clean and relaxing with good vibes. I started with the boycott which had a little chocolate taste so not my liking. Then tried the Belgium blonde and that hit the spot. Full of distinct abbey feel good flavors. 70's classics playlist !!!! Great Wednesday happy hour

Great time here last night! Clandestine Brewing was having their annual Oktoberfest celebration, and my friends and I decided to come check it out. Lots of people out & about here on a Saturday night. When I pulled into the parking lot, there was an open spot. Score! Evening is already off to a good start. Some employees were dressed in lederhosen, which added to the whole Oktoberfest theme. They had a few German beers on tap, and I decided to try one of their IPA's. Good service at the bar overall. I like how you can get a half instead of a full pint (or even a taster). With the tasters, I was able to try more beers. I also tried a belgian blonde, which was very tasty. This Saturday evening, there was a food truck on-site as well. Overall, I would recommend Clandestine Brewing for its fun ambience, nice selection of beers, and good service.

Ask the Community - Clandestine Brewing

Is there still trivia on Wednesday nights?

Trivia has resumed! But it's now on Thursday night.

    Is there food?

They will have pop-up events (follow them on IG) where food is served, but there are a couple of restaurants in the surrounding area that are amazing (try CHAVELAS - SO GOOOD) and will allow you to bring outside food in.…

I have my food truck Tlaxiaco's Pizza, can I go and sell outside,?

Hello! Please call us at 408-520-0220 and we'll talk!

    Is there WiFi there?

Yes! I believe you just have to ask them for the wifi password

Do they have TVs to watch the warriors and other sports on?

Yes, televisions with sports are in the taproom!

    Is this place heated?

    Yes, the building is heated.

Have they furnished the outdoor patio with furniture yet?

There are several tables on the patio now along with patio heaters during the colder nights.

Hazy Crazy Happy…read moreNational Hazy IPA Day! 8/20/26 (it's celebrated every 3rd Thursday of August) Independent, locally-owned brewer that took over the old Santa Clara Valley Brewing, Co. (RIP) location. They also happen to make what I believe are the best Hazy IPAs in The Bay Area--and trust me when I say I drink a *lot* of Hazy IPAs. I have the photos to prove it. The Good: * This location is their taproom and brewery and has a nice bar area with games, as well as a more open back space where they have events, like live readings of Shakespeare. * Friendly service The Meh: * There is no food, but they do have food trucks on occasion, especially during the aforementioned events. * I wish they had a rewards program. The Ugly: * The parking lot is fairly small and shouldn't be an issue during normal business hours. There is some street parking available, as well. * The area is kind of "hoody," but you'll be all right. Conclusion: Support your local brewers! Sláinte!

We took a seat in the warehouse and I notice that the game audio was not turned on while loud music was playing in the background, As I was asking my wife of why they don't have the audio on, the gentleman sat next to us told us that they won't turn the game volume on because the live DJ will be performing in 2 hrs, I told him that's 2 hrs from now, let me ask. I went to the counter and met with the female beertender, I kindly asked if we can have the soccer game volume turn on since the DJ won't be here for another 2 hrs. I was hit wit a response of "Nope, I won't turn it on" I know that a brewery establishment have rule that they need to abide to but c'mon man, at least give a more professional response then "Nope, I won't turn it on" I planned on giving only 10% tip due to this encountered, but as I went up to pay, the gentleman who helped me earlier remembered my name as the card on file. I ended up giving 22% tip because that's the type of service I remembered NF always provides. I will still be back, customer since 2021.
