Trivia every Tuesday at 6 PM! Free to play, which is really nice on their outdoor patio upstairs above Whole Foods. Dog friendly and they have drinks/pizza. I love the selection of beers they have on tap! Friendly service and reasonable prices. I'll be back for sure :)

The service was excellent, and the beer was delicious. I ordered the #16, a recommendation from the bartender :) and it did not disappoint! We also got some vinegar chips to go with the beer, and everything paired perfectly. The place is beautiful and absolutely ideal for sunny days. Highly recommend.

Nice view and great craft beers. The spot and location can not be better. Prices are way better than what you normally find in this kind of breweries.

Have been coming to this place for years & love it. The Floodcraft bartenders make this place what it is. May the 4th be with you was an awesome event that was held. Jackie outdid herself & made the environment so fun & festive for everyone. If they keep this up they could host really cool events.

5 stars for the beer selection and laid back setting. I've tried several of their beers in the past while watching sports on their two TV's at the bar. This time, I got the Floodcraft West Coast IPA Lives, and it was good. I tried my friend's Toppling Goliath Pineapple Papaya Fandango, and it is super fruity! There's a good amount of seating for such a small space. And they have heaters above (for those cooler days) since the venue is entirely outdoors. Service is friendly, and the worker clarified that they close at 9pm on Saturdays, with last call at 8:30pm (even though their hours posted online say otherwise). I usually get lucky with street parking right out front. But there's also the Whole Foods parking lot in the back, since this is pretty much attached to Whole Foods on the Alameda. They allow outside food to enjoy with your beer, so it's easy to grab something from the store before heading over.

I passed this brewery a couple of times while shopping at Whole Foods, but I finally got the chance to go this past weekend! I love the location because you can just grab food/snacks at the grocery store and bring it up. Around noon/1 PM, it was pretty empty. At 3 though, all the spots were taken. It seems like people like coming here for after-lunch/afternoon drinks. I think the drinks are reasonably priced, and we got our own flights for around $3-5 per 4 ounce pour ($15ish per flight). They have 20+ beers on tap and you're pretty much bound to find something you like. Some of them are quite strong too. I didn't catch his name, but the person working was super friendly. He was chatting us up while we watched the sports on the wall. Don't be shy about asking for recommendations. I would definitely come back!

What a sweet spot! Never would've expected a brewery that's a part of Whole Foods to be so cool! Really liked that even though it was a part of the store, it was disconnected and felt like its own spot. Awesome rooftop with a view of the SAP center. Could get loud when the train was going by, but really didn't notice it too many times during the couple hours I was there. They had heaters hanging so it stayed fairly warm for a cold night, definitely still needed a jacket though! Came on a Tuesday night around 6 and it was fairly crowded for the size of the space. There was only one table open when I arrived, but there was some outer bar seating available too. Some of the table were pretty big and probably could've been used as communal tables too if it had been more crowded. They had a pretty good tap list with a wide variety of brews. I opted for the PB & Jam sour, I was extremely skeptical about it but able to taste it before ordering and ended up being pleasantly surprised. They played good music that changed as the night went on. Started out with some upbeat classics like Jackson 5, turned into songs in Spanish, and then to some punk rock. Was so there for the punk rock!

This is an upstairs brewery, located adjacent to the Whole Foods store. There's quite a view up here, and it's fun watching the Light Rail trains go by. They have an excellent selection of about 25 different brews. Some are from their own brewery, and some other breweries. Today I got a light pilsner, and then went for one of their own IPAs locally brewed. Prices are reasonable, especially considering this high-cost area. There is free parking in the main Whole Foods parking lot. It's a bit of a narrow parking lot and I missed it the first drive by. Their special today was for a cheese board for $10. It's an interesting story about the origin of the brewery name. Thers a little placard that explains the name honors the staff who rejuvenated a flooded store in Austin Texas. The bartenders today were Johnny and Evan. Really helpful and friendly people, who made me feel welcome. I'm definitely coming back. Thank you for a great visit.

Yay!! I'm so happy that they're open again! There's less tables and seating on the patio, so they ask you to wait to be seated. I came on a Tuesday night and all the tables were basically taken. Our server was AMAZING. I didn't catch his name, but he was wearing a beanie and gauges. He was super nice, super accommodating, and completely made my day.

Shoutouts to Ben the bartender for making our visit great! Small but mighty brewery that is actually owned by whole foods which is right next door. The patio has a great open view of the adjacent areas but capacity is roughly 10-11 tables so plan accordingly. They have happy hour M-F from 4-6 for drinks and food for $1 off. We arrived a little after four and were able to get a spot even though most tables were taken at that time. The beer selection on display was great and has something for everyone. Unfortunately we weren't able to order any food due to that day being short-staffed but we'll definitely return soon!

Internet is super fast which is a plus if you like doing work outside. Drinks taste refreshing and come out fast. Servers are nice and friendly. Great place for a lunch break because it's just some stairs down to Whole Foods.

Updating my review to add commentary about the catering for a party…read more It was an absolute crowd pleaser! I ordered ribs, brisket, chicken, potato salad, beans, Cole slaw, garden salad, and garlic bread. The favorite was the brisket but they truly loved every bit of it. Very impressed with the packaging and presentation. They were packing it up as I arrived and everything was hot and fresh. The staff were delightful and even helped load everything into my car. The portions were very generous and I felt a good value for the money. We were all very full and happy. Received many comments about how good it was. I will tell anyone looking to cater or serve a crowd to order BBQ Pit. I ordered using their website and it was incredibly easy to do, and appreciated the email confirmations and follow-up.

This is my second time here for dinner and there is plenty of parking here. The line was not long…read moreand moved pretty quickly. The beers they have on tap are posted on the wall. They also carry cans as well that are not listed and you can just grab it from the fridge and pay at the register. There is a good amount of seating inside and there are a few tables outside as well. I ordered my stout and i let it sit as the foam settled and realized that the pour did not fill up the glass. I let the staff know and they fixed the issue by topping off my drink. The staff are very friendly and understanding. During my first visit, we ordered the ribs and brisket as well as a tri tip salad. The brisket was very tender and juicy. I usually avoid ordering briskets since most BBQ places in San Jose that I've been to have made them very dry. There was only one piece that wasn't juicy which I expected since it had no fat on it. It was still tender and not dried out. The ribs were also good. It was tender and didn't stick to the bone as much but it wasn't as tender where it just slides off the bone. The seasoning on the ribs was neutral and the BBQ Pit have their own special bbq sauce (regular and spicy) which goes well with the meat. My wife ordered the tri tip salad and she enjoyed it. I stole some of her greens to balance the meat and beer and the veggies were fresh. The salad came with cornbread but I didn't try it. On my second visit, I decided to get the tri tip woith a side of baked potato and coleslaw. The baked potato was $3 extra. The tri tip had really good flavor and texture. It ripped apart easily when pulling. The coleslaw was ok. I might get the mac and cheese or beans next time. My wife ate the baked potato and ate most of it. I tried a little bit where it was just the potato and it was not overcooked and not too undercooked. It was easy to scoop with the fork without too much effort. If you are in the area and craving for BBQ, I highly recommend trying this place. The portion is not as big as BBQ joints in Texas or KC but they are on par with the ones around San Jose. The pricing is decent and like I mentioned, is also on par to San Jose pricing. If you have a big group, there are plenty of tables to accommodate folks. The location is close to the highway so that's a plus. The staff is very helpful and will give you a good recommendation if you are debating on what to order.
