Very disappointing experience with Clara Med Spa. I booked the advertised $59 deal online and received confirmation for my booking. However, when I arrived at the spa, I was told that no room was available and they could not honor my appointment. Apparently they are suppose to call 24hrs in advance to confirm but nobody called me in advance to notify me of it not being available . Instead, I received a message only after I had already arrived onsite. The staff acknowledged the problem but said there was nothing they could do. This showed a lack of organization and respect for customers' time. If an appointment cannot be accommodated, customers should be notified well in advance--not after they have taken the time to travel to the location. I found this place through an ad on Instagram. The reviews are hit or miss. They're great or people hate them. First, they have a very unclear appointment system. You make an appointment online, but it is not confirmed until they confirm it. In my experience, I did not receive confirmation until 12 hours prior to my appointment. Second, while I arrived on time and there were about 3 technicians milling about they were 20 minutes late getting to me, even when there was only one other person waiting. If you're reading this because you're doing your due diligence after seeing their IG ad--yep, same here. I responded to the ad and booked an appointment during a late-night doomscrolling session. The next morning, I got a call and a text to confirm, which felt promising... but then I got a somewhat confusing email saying I needed to confirm again 24 hours before the appointment. (If you've read the other reviews, you'll see this is a common complaint.) Basically, you won't have full clarity on your appointment until the day before. They ended up pushing my time slot back by 1.5 hours, which was frustrating. If you have a tight work schedule or need to plan your day precisely, this may not be the best option for you. On the plus side, they don't keep a credit card on file, so canceling is low-pressure--you just might miss out on the promo. That said, the actual facial experience was good and definitely worth the promo price. I wouldn't pay full retail right away, but it did make me consider returning. And yes, expect the sales pitch at the end--but it wasn't overly aggressive. Staff was great though! Overall: if you're flexible and not in a rush, this could be a solid little self-care treat. I chose Ona as my esthetician--and thank God I didn't buy their 10-session package, because almost every time I made an appointment, it was canceled at the last minute for one reason or another. I went once a month, and even that was a problem. Today I was supposed to have an appointment at 12:30. Before that, I received three (!) notifications asking me to confirm it. Everything was confirmed, and of course at 9 a.m. I got a text saying that Ona's car had broken down and my appointment was canceled. Even if that's true, did Uber and Lyft stop operating? I'm torn about my experience at Clara Medical Spa. I had a good initial meet and greet but once they made the sale, I noticed their medical care wasn't as important. They didn't follow up on my service done (Vampire Facial) even though I called with concerns the following morning. Left several msgs and texts and no one returned my call for weeks. It wasn't until my 2nd appt was nearing that I spoke to the Asst. Mgr to complain of the lack of customer service. Apparently, reception was at fault for this. My appts were also switched last minute twice. It just seemed once they make the sale, they no longer have any interest in the patient. I was not super impressed by the results of the vampire facials done either. Otherwise, it's a nice small clean office. read more

I booked a Jawline & Face Lift Treatment because they had a special. The front office was very pleasant and answered all my questions about the treatment. Parking was easy and the inside was very clean. We had a quick consult, before my treatment. The treatment was basically a facial with a focus on my jaw and neck. It included Cryo, red light therapy & radio frequency, which thought was great. I love the products she used! There was a vitamin C serum that smelled like candy and something with marshmallow root that also smelled delicious. The whole thing was very relaxing. She said she would recommend a good sunscreen for me to use, but she must have forgot. I would definitely go back for a facial, but only if they had a special going on again, because the regular price seems kinda high. read more

Beware of misleading practices I went to Clara Med Spa for microneedling, but my first session was poorly done. The staff, especially the owners, were very persuasive and pushed me into taking a membership with sweet talk. Unfortunately, I agreed. After only two visits, I faced major personal and business issues (including a $2M business loss) and had to travel abroad. I even showed them my flight tickets, but they refused to consider my situation or cancel the membership. I ended up paying the full amount without receiving the services, just to protect my credit score. This experience was deeply disappointing and financially damaging. Please be cautious and avoid this place -- they care more about money than their customers. After paying entire amount and return from abroad tried reaching for resuming service, they blocked my number. This is pathetic. read more

Terrible! Are you a spa or a medical facility? cuz you're not good at either! Receptionist was nice enough, but then she starts asking me personal medical questions in the lobby in front of other clients! Then they go through this process where an online nurse has to clear me for the procedure but they have no signal in the facility so we had to try the call 4 times! and the online nurse is borderline rude and talks so fast that you're not really giving accurate information or consent. Why not just use a waiver? I can read it and understand it and give informed consent better than the fast talking spotty connected zoom call!! Then the actual procedure, with a "nurse" who smells like she hasn't washed her hair in two weeks, and can't answer questions about the procedure she is performing and the machines she is using. Sure, she's got her memorized regurgitation of words, but when asked anything deeper, she doesn't know the answer (or doesn't understand the question?) and just says the same things over again. Finally, the wrap up lady who has this janky desk and chairs in her office. She's ready to sell me her packages, but again, when asked questions, she really can't explain the medical procedures she is selling. Once she realized I wasn't going to buy her package, she was clearly not interested in talking to me anymore, and just wanted payment, which asked for a tip?!!! I guess that makes sense for the aestheticians, but do you tip your nurse? or chiropractor? or other medical professional? WOW! Such an unpleasant experience! read more

I signed up for a series of RF Microneedle treatments and was told the equipment used is Morpheus 8, which is exactly what i requested and thought I was getting. The owner lied. Their equipment was a no name brand. And the technicians doing the treatments did it differently each time. Clearly the training varied. The results were not worth the money by a long shot. I feel ripped off. I've tried to reach out to the owner and he is ignoring me. I strongly suggest you go somewhere else if you are looking for RF. This place is not reliable. read more

I made an appointment for an Instagram special. The treatment was good, however, please be aware what "deal" they are giving you before you sign up for their payment plan. I was misinformed upon sign up and did not agree to the overall cost of what the the total amount would be. I agreed to 7 treatments for $xx per visit. Also explaining that I did not want to commit to anything more than that because I was entering a new chapter in my life and will be moving. Rather than signing me up for 7 treatments at $xx amount, they signed me up to afford the $xx that I agreed upon, but would later find out that I will be charged in excess of that where 7 treatments would actually cost me almost 4 TIMES the amount spread out in 12 months. VERY deceiving. At the time of check out, I found the staff distracting by asking to see my phone, small talk, and asking for a hug while they were processing my account. I left there happy with a folded piece of paper that I regret not looking at before i left. When I received my first statement, I was alarmed by the terms of the agreement because it wasn't what i signed up for. I contacted Clara to try and resolve this discrepancy on several occasions but only found resistance. They suggested to contact Care Credit to dispute, which I did. I was disappointed to find out that my dispute was rejected and I am still obligated to pay for services that I haven't even rendered or will never receive. It's bad business practice and not ethical to run a business like this. I will continue to dispute this either through Care Credit and/or other means. read more
