This place should be called Rough and tough! I've never met such strong ladies in my life. Even when you say softer they continue to brutally massage your joints. I couldn't even enjoy myself. I made an appointment for 730pm to get a 90 minute massage. When we got there at 7, we were asked to come back at 8 then 830. Ok whatever, we could grab food. Also if you want to be petty or just good at math I pointed out that 20%off of 55 would be 11 off not 5, making the massage 44 and not 50. No luck trying to explain that with the language barrier. (There is a sign that says 20%off all services). When we returned I said something again about the price because they woman over the phone told me ok 45. Which fine I'll pay 50 because that's still a great price for a 90 minute combo massage in Oakland. She told me pay now. Well I'll be. This is the first time I've ever been asked to pay prior to receiving service! This was almost the worst massage ever. The back rub was just ok. First she rubbed my back dry, then she added oil. Also they kept talking to each other the entire time, couldn't even relax! I asked for 90 min. They finally got in the back room at about 840 and finished us at 5 to 9! And the grand finale "You tip us". She said $10 each. See I typically tip about 10 to 15 for a massage but since you said your amount, you actually could have talked yourself out of more. She kept pushing with her elbow on my spine. I had to repeatedly tell her to stop. She was putting pressure on my bones NOT my muscles. She hurt me, yanked and pulled at my hair. I wanted to like this place. Its close to the house and the prices are good. The therapist entered the room, no introduction, no request for pressure preferences. He was rough, kind of throwing me around and after I felt beat up. It did not feel as if he was trained properly. I felt like I wasted my money. Initially I had asked for just foot reflexology. The receptionist was insistent that I get the full 60-minute body massage. I should have gone with my first mind. I did, however, give the therapist a 25.00 tip after. Communication with my attendant was an issue, I told him too hard....he went harder. this is not a spa. you will not reach ​any bliss or mental clarity. It is cheap and fairly clean. This place is pretty basic. I purchased a groupon for 90 min hot stone massage. When I called to make an ​appointment, I was told Groupon's appointments were to be scheduled "in the morning." Ok, I figure they wanted to fill up their schedule, so I booked an 11am appointment for Saturday. My massage was provided by a nice woman, Coco. She provided firm/deep pressure but never asked me if I had any problem​ spots or injuries​. The massage was a mix bag of: deep pressure, thai and acupressure​. (occasionally​ painful; which Coco lighten up upon request.) Unfortunately​, because she was the only staffer that was bilingual​l, she was summoned by the owner to translate/customer service DURING MY MASSAGE. The walls are pretty thin so you could hear the owner (one of the massagers) calling her name, doors closing, other massages in progress. I tipped Coco well for her work but this place is a chop shop. User beware. read more

Solid place! Went here with the boyfriend, and both had a good experience. I got a 60 min combo, and felt very refreshed afterwards. The hot water foot soak was just the right temperature, and the warm towels were a definite plus. The only downside was that the neighborhood outside was a little noisy- but nothing that would keep me from coming back. My boyfriend got an hour body massage, and was serene afterwards. The neighborhood was not the nicest, but parking was easy on a Sunday afternoon. I wanted to get a 90 minute massage to release some tension & stiffness. Regarding Coco, her technique was firm and at times it did hurt & I had to tell her. She did let up and overall, the massage was satisfactory. It was the rudeness that I could not deal with. 1. While she was giving me my massage, she spoke to her co-worker thru the closed door 2. She left the room to greet another customer 3. When I tipped her 15%, she was so pissed that she had to talk about me to her coworkers in front of me in her native tongue. BEWARE! The prices are slashed because there is a $10 tip minimum no matter the service. A 30 minute massage for $15 with a $10 tip... that is over a 50% tip. Overall price isn't bad, but don't believe the prices advertised! I don't like to be tricked. There is a tiny handwritten sign stating the minimum tip which happens to not be bold, bright or obvious. I was not informed of this minimum tip walking in the door either. No verbal communication of this was given. Also, my massage was not great at all. I came here with my husband yesterday. I can hands down say this was one of the worst experiences I have had. I received a combo massage by Tony and it was so hard. I asked him to be more gentle but it didn't help. I think there was definitely a language barrier. I had bruises on my legs when I got home. My husbands massage was better. During the massages they were talking to each other and to another lady in another room. It was definitely NOT RELAXING. I kept looking at my phone to see when it would be finished. I think what really ruined the experience for us at the end the lady DEMANDED a tip. She even told us how much to tip her, we barely understood her. If you want a relaxing massage, this is not the place for it. We booked a 60 mins couples body massage. The room was shabby, my masseuse was rolling my massage table around to make room for herself to walk around the table. My partner had to ask for a new masseuse after 20 minutes as the guy kept hitting his bones instead of his muscles. Due to the language barrier my partner couldn't communicate with him about it. During the massage, our masseuses left the room at least 5-7 times to talk to other clients and answer the front desk. We could hear people talk loudly in the hallway and at one point the masseuse was yelling a message from our room to the outside. The oil they used on our body had a terrible smell as well. Definitely not a relaxing experience. We have been to multiple massages in the South Bay and never had a issue, we always tip well. We didn't want to tip due to the poor quality and service. The lady at the front desk asked us to tip 5 times and even followed us out to the door. Very uncomfortable experience. Needless to say, save your money and time and go elsewhere! read more

My lower back was totally out of wackand I was in big pain. I walked in, got an immediate appointment, got an hour deep tissue full body massage. SAVED MY LIFE. It was miraculous. On 7/9/17, a friend and I walked into Claremont Foot Massage to inquire about getting the foot massage service. We told the two women that we would return in 30 minutes because we wanted to change our clothes. Upon returning for service, there was a third woman present. She immediately started talking to us about a full body massage. We told her that we only wanted the foot massage. In turn, the woman said, "if you get the foot massage, they will only massage your feet for 60 minutes". I informed her that I had experienced foot massages at seven other reflexology salons and each had given a full chair massage which included soaking my feet, massaging my scalp, arms, legs and turning face down and doing my shoulders, back, etc. She insisted that we needed the full body massage on the table. At that point, we both told her that we were dissatisfied with her unprofessional behavior and that we would not be staying for any service. It appeared that the two original women we had spoken to earlier were very unhappy. I would have been fine paying the fee but I called ahead of time and they had me come in before telling me. She told me about the fee as she was running the card. It just seems sketchy and deceptive.
