Sadly, Kume Foot Spa has DEEP customer satisfaction issues at the front desk.So upset I couldn't even get my services. Customer Service leaves a lot to be desired if you have questions or a challenge. For example, asking a simple question like, "Oh, what is the "Service Fee" for if you use a credit card? And what is the difference if you use a credit card versus a debit card?", will be met with sarcasm and indignation. But tonight was another level of Ridiculous, ill-mannered and Unacceptable behavior. Don't let the clean atmosphere fool you. Their attitudes are filthy!
My appointment was for reflexology and full body massage combo.I have had it several times before. The spa had previously overcharged me for a scarf and had been arguing with me about not refunding me the overcharge since January! The explanation, "When we get new products in we usually change the prices to reflect our retail price. We try to do it right away, but we don't always change the prices before we put the items out." So, tonight, I try to ask Michelle, the evening front desk receptionist to refund me the difference, including taxes and interest from my credit card. She proceeds to tell me that despite the fact that Kume Spa overcharged me that "Its not our fault you chose to use your credit card. We can't tell you how to pay. That's on you." Back and forth we go and then she tries to write on the tag from the overcharged item and change the price! I told her not to, then she proceeds to tell me, "Well, I'm not the manager, but we're not going to pay you anything but the difference." I said fine, you're not the manager and so you don't have to worry about it. Where's the manager? Can I please have the manager's name". She says, "The manager's not here." Me: So, you're here with no manager? Ok, when is the manager in? What is the manager's name?" She raises her voice, "I'm not giving you her name. I'll have her call you." Me: So, you're refusing to give me a name. She then yells, "I don't have time to deal with you! I don't have time for this! I have other things to do."
(Dropped jaw here). Michelle (because I want to call her out of her name, but will refrain) YELLS at me in front of two other customers! Who YELLS at a customer for asking for them to do their job?...The inconsistently amiable and rude front desk staff at Kume Foot Spa! That's where it happens! I was livid and embarrassed!
Shameful! Shameful customer service. Um, I don't know who that chic was mad at, or what I represented to her, but you don't yell at me. "I don't have time for you right now! I'm busy!" And then said my name twice. We were the only Black people in there. The white women waiting in line were looking like, "Is this about to get ugly?!!" No, it got ugly right when I asked her to try and have the refund total ready for me at the end of my services. By the way, this is their administrative error that they have refused to correct since January.
The massage services are great. Just double-check the product prices on the price tag with what they actually charge you. If they over charge you, they'll fight you nickel and dime to correct it...LITERALLY! They need Interpersonal Communication and Customer Service Training. Unacceptable! read more
