I love Clare! Her love for these horses and passion to teach kiddos about them is above and beyond. My about to be 7 year old goes to Clare's for 3 or so hours once a week to not just ride but CARE for these amazing animals. My child not only gets to ride a horse she has the responsibility of caring for the horse and has to learn to care for the horse she is riding. Clare insures the horse and the rider have personalities that mesh well together whether it be the smallest rider on the biggest horse or the smallest horse with the largest rider, it's not a one size fits all, it's a who is going to work well with who and sometimes that changes day to day and good day to bad. Clare allows the kids to extend their experiences on the trails in the arenas, fun shows etc, at their own pace and comfort level, definitely a plus for my kiddo who is the shy, "I don't want to interact with people" kids, I don't get it but Clare always gets a great good bye, a huge hug and I get a real convo on the way home. Clare's riding club is an amazing place to take horseback riding lessons. Not only do you learn how to ride (you can learn any discipline, but the primary focus is on English) you also get to learn the work and care that is involved in having horses. The horses at this place are amazing and there is a horse for everyone, at every skill level. Clare is an amazing person and instructor and makes all the lesson exciting. I rode here for many years but had to unfortunately stop because life got crazy busy. They have ridden at several places (due to moving) and have generally had good experiences at each of them, but none can even begin to compare to what is offered at Clare's riding club. Clare's Riding Club is WONDERFUL! We started out just walking by Clare's ranch and watching the "big girls" when our oldest was 3 and her love for horses began. At 4 years old our daughter was welcomed into the club and began monthly lessons. (A little young but, the life lessons she's learned by being around the horses and the wonderful group of young riders that are "helpers" is priceless). Our daughter is still with Clare's Riding Club over a year later and LOVING every minute. She constantly asks when she gets to go next. The atmosphere Clare has created fosters a love and respect for all animals which is important to our family. The riders gain confidence, learn how to care for horses and of course, proper riding techniques. They learn in an arena and on local trails.
