No one is doing what NCSP is doing. They are truly the ONLY ones in the market doing it right when it comes to YOUTH SOCCER!!!! We have been consistently coming to NCSP for 3 years, and the experience just keeps getting better. Three years later, our now 4-year-old son is fundamentally excelling while genuinely loving the game and that says EVERYTHING!!! We've also started our 1-year-old daughter on her soccer journey, and she's already in her second season! She's gaining social interaction, motor skills, and pure joy. The excitement she shows when she sees the coaches and her desire to crash her older brother's practices is the best thing to watch (especially when Gibby yells, "Cameron, you've got a few years to go!"). We live at the Park and absolutely LOVE the coaches, the staff, and the coordinators. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR KID'S TIME AT NORTH COUNTY SOCCER PARK'S "SKILLS INSTITUTE" - TOTAL SCAM!!! I signed my 8-year-old son up for their "beginners" class (ages 7-9) because he was super excited to learn soccer from scratch. They brag about a great teacher-to-student ratio - yeah, only 4 kids total. Sounds perfect, right? WRONG. The other three kids were basically mini Messis - obviously advanced players who had no business being in a BEGINNER class. They should've been in the invite-only elite group or something. The "class" is a joke: 10 minutes of rushed "fundamentals" (if you can even call it that) and then 45-50 minutes of straight scrimmage where the three pros just DOMINATE and trash my poor kid over and over. He's getting the ball stolen every second, falling behind, and just getting completely demoralized. This was supposed to be FUN and educational - instead it's crushing his spirit! I politely asked the coach when they'd actually TEACH fundamentals, and she snaps that they already did it in the first 10 minutes. Seriously?? My 8-year-old needs more than 10 minutes to learn how to play soccer!!! When I pointed out how unfair the scrimmages were and how it wasn't fun for him, she literally throws her hands up and says "I just do what I'm told." Wow, real professional. So I call the office to talk to a manager - get some teenager-sounding kid named Ivan who couldn't care less. He just parrots "we follow the core curriculum" and that "training happens all season long." What training??? There's ZERO actual teaching going on! We paid $400 for 13 weeks of this garbage. After THREE classes, my son was done - hated it, no confidence left. Pulled him out and they "graciously" refunded $300 (big whoop). This place has ZERO interest in actually teaching beginners how to play soccer. It's nothing but a lazy cash grab run by a bunch of apathetic teenagers who couldn't care less about the kids' well-being or happiness. No empathy, no adjustments, no real coaching - just collect the money and let the skilled kids bully the newbies for an hour. If your kid is a total beginner, STAY FAR AWAY. North County Soccer Park Skills Institute is a complete rip-off and will kill any love your child has for the game. Appalled and disgusted - never again!!! read more

My son's love for soccer began at NCSP, starting with the Lil Kickers classes when he was just 2 years old. At first, he was nervous, and would even run away from the ball. But thanks to the nurturing environment and engaging coaches, he built confidence and developed his skills. I cannot say enough good things about NCSP or the experiences we have had there. Our boys have played there well over a year in Lil Kickers, Skills, and the 4v4 league and they've progressed significantly. In addition, everyone we have met there has been incredible from Coach Gibby, to Coach Mason, and the owners. Just last night they helped me out with a quiet place to work before my son's game, so I could still be present and part of the fun when I finished. That is going above and beyond!!! By far our favorite employee has been Summer, the manager. She makes sign up easy, communicates clearly, and treats our boys like her little brothers. They LOVE her!!! Great outdoor party for kids! Big shout out to North County Soccer Park for providing an arena for my son's 11th birthday dodgeball party. None of the San Diego County Parks would allow us to host a party right now. This was such a great find, and affordable too. Amazingly, only half of the parents even knew about this party venue. The covered deck was clean and the afternoon breeze offered a perfect spot for parents to gather and watch the kids play. We hosted the dodgeball game in the smaller, enclosed soccer arena (fitted with artificial turf) just below the deck. Honestly, it was so perfect. NCPS even had some extra dodgeballs for us to use. The kids spent a normal Friday afternoon playing Dodgeball, eating pizza and cake, and cooling down with the slushies from the snack bar. Thanks NCSP! Lil' Kickers is an awesome program for kids being introduced to soccer (or honing their skills). We've now signed our kid up for a 5th time. One of the most impressive things to me is how consistent the coaches are. They all seem to teach the same way, even using a lot of the same verbiage. They all seem to have equal parts training on soccer and how to talk to kids. It's really awesome seeing them work week after week. I would highly recommend this to any parents in the area. I absolutely love NCSP. I have three boys spanning 14 years and I have long-been a fan of this organization (since 2006!) Our boys have been in both Little Kickers and Skills, as well as many of the soccer camps. The boys learned soccer skills and teamwork. Over the past 16 years, as the boys have played off and on, I have loved the vibe from the skilled coaches and most notable, the very low turnover rate. Clearly the coaches are supported by leadership/management/owner and definitely seem to love their job. They're amazing with the kids and have a consistent training approach that yields results. The coaches are extremely patient with the children and foster a safe environment for growth no matter the developmental stage of the child. Overall a fun way to learn and implement soccer as a hobby. I love how all the coaches teach with passion.

I really enjoyed the opportunity for my daughter (5 yrs) to learn some soccer skills without a huge emphasis on playing the game right off the bat. They introduce soccer skills at an appropriate level through fun games and positive reinforcement. Coach Bryan and his partner (blonde pony tail) are wonderful with this group of kids. They speak to them at an age-appropriate level, keeping them engaged, and encouraging them to have fun. My daughter does not seem to have a competitive bone while in class but she has so much fun and trusts and enjoys these coaches. When they do a scrimmage toward the end of the class, they often "freeze" the game to provide instructional learning as to what went right or what could be better. Watching the class at the next level, I can see the coaching style change a bit, but I do believe it is an age appropriate level, as they encourage teamwork while teaching more in depth skills. They strongly and positively reinforce all acts of sportsmanship and teamwork, which I think is so important when learning a sport or being a part of a team. This is a review for kids league 8 to 10 which has 8 games. thought that the kids would be taught some soccer rules have some practice before games. If that's what your looking for don't come here. You are basically renting the field with other players. They play 8 games together. Practice about 10 minutes before a game and then start playing. The coach is a volunteer of one of the kids parents. I was told the coach basically makes sure each kid plays. Now I would give this three stars because my kid does like playing soccer and he can get practice by playing. however I have deducted one star due to an unfair practice. Evidently one of the teams has continued to play together. I heard this was because the teams coach "knows people". While the teams are supposed to be shuffled. The shuffle allows each team to get certain level of players so there is a good mix. This team obviously is better then every team. I believe they have more players as well. Your can tell the kids on the team playing them aren't having fun and in the end basically start giving up. If you do decide to play I would suggest not to show up on the day you play this team. It kills the kids confidence playing them. Because of the above my kid will do his 8 games and we will find a league that is fair. I know it shouldn't matter but it annoys me immensely how unfair it is. I can not get past it so I will find a new spot. read more

Little Kickers review for ESCONDIDO ( which is run by NCSP) The NCSP and their little kickers franchise that they own, rent out one of the fields at the Escondido Sports Complex for little kicker camps. This is my review for that. After having my kids play in soccer leagues in Escondido I was having some reservations on their ability to learn real soccer skills and have fun. Escondido league Coaches have a tough time even showing up for practice, and when they do show up it's basically green light, red light drills. Then there are a few super coaches where yelling and over-competitiveness are common. In either case, I thought we needed some more specialized coaching from someone outside The Escondido Rec Center. Enter little kickers. We saw a flyer for little kickers in Escondido and I thought this would be good for my three year old seeing she was new to sports and a little shy. I'm so happy I went with Little Kickers.. The coaches are very supportive of the kids ( about 5-7 in a class). For the little kids they focus on working as a team and focusing on basic coordination skills. My kid loved it! So, I noticed that my other kids were starting to struggle in their older age leagues ( because lack of structured practice) so I went ahead and put them in Little Kickers too.. Again, the coaches are very supportive and build confidence. The older Little kickers play scrimmages which is pretty fun. My older kids are starting to pass the ball to other teammates and learning proper technique.. They also work up a good sweat. Recommended - If your kids are shy - If your kids are new to soccer - if you just want them to get some extra exercise. - Highly recommended if you play in an organized league like Escondido but want some more personalized instruction. read more

I love ncsp!! I play in the adult coed mini field league. It's so much fun! You play 4x4 with two guys and two girls at a time. They are two 22 min halves I beleive . The park is free for those who want to come and watch (unlike sportsplex which charges everybody 2.50 to enter the park!!) And even the players league fees is not that bad! You basically have your team fee for the 8 week season and then a 7 ref fee every week per team (so like a dollar a person if you have subs) But everybody starts to get to know each other and its a super cool friendly (outside the field ;) he he ) time. I want to start a coed team on the big field too 6x6!! Id play there every night if I could! read more

NCSP is hands down my favorite place to play indoor soccer. The amount of leagues they offer is insane. There are competitive leagues for all ages, women's leagues, men's leagues and several coed leagues (also for all ages). The turf on both the big and mini field are in great condition and the staff is extremely friendly. I have played at Sportsplex, as well as a few other places, but I always find myself coming back to NCSP! Not only are the leagues awesome, but so are the classes for the little ones! I actually work with a few people who have kids registered in the little kickers and little sluggers classes. They have learned the basics of soccer and/or baseball at such a young age and they have a blast every time they are there! You can walk around and see smiles everywhere. It is super cute to watch the babies play!! I have heard nothing but great things about the little kicker classes! Especially as far as instructors go! If you have young kids (all ages), there is definitely a soccer class for them at NCSP! And if you like to play too, go check them out! read more

We enjoy NCSP. My son plays in the cotton tail and jack rabbit team for two years. We love coach Julie she is the best. I also play in the adult league here on Tuesday and it is a blast for new players. This place is fairly organized but overall we have had a great experience. We even scheduled a private birthday party event here for my sons birthday party. We recommend NCSP to family and friends. Honest business if it rains they refund class no questions asked. Ethical reputable small business owned. FOR COVID Coaches wear masks and players 2 and up upon arrival They take temperatures for everyone They socially distance the children The games are contactless which is awesome We are happy with the standards they follow they exceed our expectations. Areas for growth Communication Treat paying customers respectfully they messed up on inputting our numbers multiple times. Instead of asking one of the owners was upset treating me like a child saying we emailed you we need your team numbers. I showed him I emailed them in way before they even requested them and they made our jerseys. Then I gave them to someone in person and showed him who. It's important but it's important to be friendly and keep paying customers happy. I always recommend people to this place and brought 12 close family and friends to play in your league. The program is inclusive, affordable, and keeps my daughter from feeling left out of much more pricey leagues that most naturally can't afford. This a pivotal time in her life and the staff, their methods and the evolving structure of the skills classes have permanently changed my daughters life. She's healthier, happier and more confident! I had a negative experience and found the owner to be defensive and not helpful at all. It's unfortunate, but there are plenty of other soccer programs in the area that we have Had quite a lot of success with. Perhaps if Dave would invest a bit more time and energy in hiring more management that could be on site and providing support to the young coaches and refs, then there would be more safety and fun for everyone involved. At this point, it seems like it's more of a numbers game than a soccer program. read more

Unfortunately this place is going downhill fast. The owner Dave is not in tune with what's going on here and passes the blame onto his teenagers who he hired to run the place. Leadership starts at the top Dave. Rather than taking ownership for the business he owns, we were told that his manager who he just "fired" made a mistake in telling us we could have my husband and sons coach. We signed up with this program for this reason only, to be told 4 games in that wasn't the case. Clearly Dave is MIA and rather than making it right for his customers, he passes the buck onto his staff. We will be finishing this season out and not returning. read more

My two sons have played at NCSP for 3 seasons now and both have a great affinity for the game and are both dedicated team players. This last season our experience has gone from fair to shocked and dismayed. All teams are managed by parent coaches, some of whom truly have a passion for their children's experience while sadly others are competitive enough to actually support, condone and encourage unsportsman like behavior. The real problem is that even after bringing this to the attention of staff and management at NCSP zero action nor even concern was expressed. My boys are young athletes and I was not in favor of encouraging them to respond in kind (while they are physically larger and well capable of doing so) After looking a little more closely at the relationships between the staff and management it became clear that their personal friendships drive the calls made on the field. The lesson learned and taught to my boys is that life is not always fair. Having said all the above there is also something to be noted about the run down facilities, single unisex bathroom, extreme deferred maintenance throughout the facility very poor unhealthy food and snack choices made available. If its a fun, fair and healthy experience you seek for your kids this is without a doubt not the place you want to bring your family to and there are many other superior alternatives in and around the area. read more
