I hate to do this but I'm really upset! Clark bagels has been a staple in Clark since I was a child, idk if they have new owners or something but the bagels are just trash! And barely cooked why is every bagel bright white and mushy But at the same time dry. They are just horrible bagelAnd why am I spending 7$ for a Taylor ham egg and cheese and there is only 2 slices of TH and no cheese. This is not the first time they mess up orders. We enjoy stopping by to grab a quick bagel or breakfast sandwich on the go, but I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that they do get a few orders wrong every now and then when it comes to toppings. It doesn't happen often so it doesn't bother me too much, but aside from that, bagels are fresh and tasty and always hit the spot. I have picky bagel eaters and this is where my people want their bagels from. Tasty bagels, busy, plenty of parking and a tidy store. I was surprised at how clean the inside is. They have a couple of tables if you want to dine-in, loads of juices, bottled smoothies and other beverages as well as the typical flavored cream cheese. Prices are fair. Each time I come the bagels are hot off the press. They are nice enough to cut them and even individually wrap them for the office. They're busy so the counter service is a bit rushed but I expect that when the line is out the door on a Saturday morning. read more

Stopped in for lunch very late, grabbed a Turkey Supreme Sub, sub was spectacular. As I was handed my order, the lady at the counter asked me if I'd like some free bagels and handed me a full bag. I took the bagels to my work place the next morning and my co-workers thought they were fresh even though they were a day old, over 12 bagels disappeared very fast and all I kept hearing was how good they were. The bagels are simply not worth enduring the dismissive attitudes from the owners and staff. During my visit, the woman running the place literally tossed my bag of bagels onto the counter and snapped 'here' at me. Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened. I was in town, visiting, friends and family and needed to pick up bagels to take back home to Florida. These are probably the best bagels that I have had in years!! it is very hard to find everything bagel with salt so you can imagine how excited I was when I tasted one of these I went at 6:30 AM and The bagels were hot and fresh with many different flavors available. I gave this place two tries- pictured is an Italian sub. As you can see, there's more lettuce and tomato than meat. They forgot the cheese as the menu states comes with it. Finally, the lettuce was not washed. I had a gritty dirt taste in my mouth. I know because one bite was just lettuce alone! Definitely could get a better sub somewhere else. (Sandwich was $11!!) There was a change in Ownership a few years back i think, but the same (not rude, but not friendly) staff is still there. My friend and I were sitting in the dining room eating an egg sandwich and a cockroach was scaling the wall heading towards our table really fast . It was disgusting. I know most restaurants have them but you just don't want to see them. Especially in the dining room. We immediately brought it to the attention of the staff they came out and killed it. And just went back behind the counter and carried on, Not one of them apologized . Needless to say we couldn't finish our food because we were disgusted by this. As we were leaving we said goodbye and not one of them responded to us. Almost as if they were annoyed with us. We didn't make a scene at all when we saw the roach, just calmly told them to come look. Looking around after this episode in search of the possibility of seeing another roach I couldn't help but notice how filty the corners and the food display cases were. The bagel sandwiches here are great but my favorite thing to get is their waffles that come with eggs, bacon and my absolute favorite item, home fries!! Best home fries in the area and cooked to perfection with seasoning and peppers. In the past, they used to mess up or forget some things on orders but I've seen a lot of improvement recently. First time here, last time here. It's Monday 1:44pm and I just went in and ordered two bagels. They taste like yesterday's bagel. Not very fresh at all. Bagel was done wrong. I got it toasted. It wasn't toasted. I got half butter half cream cheese and they were on top of each other versus how I asked for it. The man that took my order was very nice. Now here's why I will never ever return here on top of the bagel quality. I just lost close to ten pounds. You know those pandemic pounds happened to many of us. So I'm rewarding myself w a bagel. (I wish it was fresh so it would be worth it). As I go to pay, the younger man asks, "boy or girl"? I caught on quickly. Came in on a Friday morning with a group of 5. I asked the man if they had any dairy free options for the spreads of the bagels and he rudely stated that cream cheese has dairy- yes sir I know that but some places DO offer dairy free options! Out of our 5 orders, 2/5 were not correct. I ordered a black Russian bagel and they gave me a whole wheat everything bagel instead but were adamant on the fact that they gave me a "lighter" Black Russian bagel. Another patron standing next to me even said it did not look like a Black Russian bagel. They also forgot to put the condiments on another one of our orders. Was craving bagels in the morning so I popped into here on my way to work. I was a bit skeptical about the reviews, but I knew I had to try them out for myself. The store is in the Clark Village shopping center, a dilapidated strip mall, but they have some good businesses there. Their store is bright and the bagels greet you on a mundane morning. They don't have my favorite (multigrain), so I settled for a sesame bagel with walnut/rain cream cheese. Their bagels are huge, soft, but tasted fine when toasted. They do serve other menu items like sandwiches, salads, etc. I'm happy that I found a decent bagel place on my way to work in the morning. read more

Stopped by this bagel place on the way to seeing some family. I had heard about it from a friend. Upon entering the restaurant, there was a decent crowd waiting for orders. It seemed to be moving pretty fast. It was about 11:30am and the window of bagels was pretty slim but I suppose that is to be expected. We ordered a plain bagel with sausage, egg , and cheese (SPK of course) and a plain bagel with veggie cream cheese. The sausage sandwich was good. I thought the bagel itself was a bit soft like regular bread. I tend to like my bagels with a bit of a crisp on the outside with a softness on the inside. The veggie cream cheese was surprisingly good. I think the cream cheese itself was whipped so it was light not heavy like other bagel shops/delis. Overall it's an okay spot but not something that blew me away. I'd come again if I were in the area and wanted a quick bagel fix. Bonus points for being quick with the order! read more

The spot was full of locals (that's a plus) and tons of bagel options, but what really intrigued me the most are the health smoothie options. It was like a green smoothie that they were advertising which were made with natural ingredients. Sounded pretty good but my mind was set on an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. Extremely disappointed in the customer service. It's been a while since I've ordered from Clark bagel now I remember why I have not returned. I ordered one meal and two soft drinks. I was charged for two meals and it was clearly obvious that there was only one meal in the bag. I asked for my money back for the mistake in the extra charge . The woman waiting on me was reluctant to return my money. She had a nasty attitude and offered to give me back some of the money from the meal I did not order . One of the workers was standing next to her and told her to give me back the money which she then did. I don't know how these places stay in business. read more

So I was excited to find a bagel shop bu my current work site. I ordered a onion bagel toasted with butter and a Taylor ham egg and cheese with pepper on it. The place was clean and the food looked good but it would have been nice if the guy taking my order paid attention to what I ordered. After paying and driving the couple of blocks to work I open my bagel up to find it toasted correctly but with cream cheese on it. Fail, IM ALLERGIC to cream cheese. Now the sandwich looked good. Nice two extra large egg look. Good bagel, nice melt on the cheese. The pork roll seems thin compared to other bagel shops. No pepper but plenty of salt, the amount that makes you thirsty right away. This was THE BAGEL SPOT back in high school. The bagels were crispy in the outside and soft on the inside. Loaded with everything seasoning (as it should be)... this place has gone downhill. Luckily for them they are the only bagel spot in town and a lot of people suck it up and deal with a crappy doughy bagel... even myself on occasion. The bagels recently were dry, very doughy and not seasoned at all. The cream cheese was so skimp I felt like calling the police and reporting a robbery but decided against it. The man and woman working the counter look the same so idk if they have a new bagel guy or what ... great people but the bagels are not doing it anymore. Even their breakfast sandwiches are not good anymore because the chewy piece of dough it's served on (get it in a roll). Hopefully it gets back to its potential ! read more

The bagels are decent and the plain cream cheese is good because it's whipped and they are not stingy with it. For a poppy bagel with cream cheese, they do a pretty good job. But the regular drip coffee is tasteless and watered down, so that's a big reason to stop somewhere else when you can (Manhattan Bagels has good strong drip coffee and that's where I go when I'm headed in that direction). And the taylor ham and egg on hard roll is abominable because they cook the ever loving hell out of both the eggs and taylor ham, and the pork roll itself seems to be some kind of cheap tasteless generic brand to begin with, and also, they slice it way too thin, which is a serious and growing problem in NJ lately. Also, the one little shifty-eyed guy here baldly lied to me and told me they had yellow mustard and then when I unwrapped the sandwich in the car, I found brown mustard on there. I guess the reason these people are still in business is that the store is right on the way to the Parkway, Route 1&9, and the Turnpike and it's easy-in, easy-out when you're in a hurry. read more
