My 1st Gabe's bagel. I was pretty impressed with freshness and chewy interior. Service was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the garlic bagel with 1/2 olive spread and 1/2 salmon. Best breakfast sandwiches in Martinsville. If you stop by on a Saturday morning there is a line out the door for this place. There is nothing showy about Gabe's, just good bagels and a few seats. What sets them apart is the prompt service, the clean dining area and the open kitchen. There is nothing to hide and the griddle is front and center behind the counter when you walk in. They have a cooler at the counter with any bagel topping you could ask for, it's filled with salads, specialty cream cheese and premium sandwich fixings. They also have a variety of prepackaged cookies you that are always wrapped in a festive way. There is a nice cold drink variety as well as a fully stocked coffee counter. There are a few tables inside and couple more out on the sidewalk. There is a large parking lot so it's easy to just roll up, grab your bagels and continue on with your day. New bagel place with really great bagels. My family will be coming here over the options in Basking Ridge/Bernardsville. I evaluate bagel shops on their mastery of four things: 1. Bagel consistency 2. Ratios of bagel to cream cheese or bagel to egg/meat options 3. Breakfast sandwiches as a whole 4. Service** newly added because service at other local places has deteriorated as of recently I would say Gabe's has all four of these down better than any other. Bagels are fresh and fluffy, kitchen is clean (you can see right in! They have nothing to hide!), service is quick (they answer the phone) and most importantly their ratios of bagel-cream cheese / bagel-egg and meat are superb. Definitely give them a go if you're in the area or if you're sick of your $10 breakfast sandwich having little to no meat on it. I will say the pumpernickel was a tad sweet for my liking and some days you get less cream cheese than other days but besides that, Gabe's-- you're doing things right! Just opened May 2023 and very much welcomed in the neighborhood. I went in on 2nd day and was warmly welcomed by staff. Answered my questions about a few flavors and very patient. Bagels were warm and fresh. Fluffy dough with that perfect chewy crust. Exactly how I like my bagels! Kids were in heaven. Salmon cream cheese was generous with the salmon! Will def try more flavors next time. Also have some pastries and coffee. Owner said he was making flagels (flat bagels) - can't wait to try those! Oh and they gave me a complimentary sprinkle muffin for the kiddos which I used to bribe the kids -bonus! I posted menu and it looks like they have full offering of salads, sandwiches, wraps etc. Little bit of seating. Very spacious and clean interior with customer restrooms. read more

Excellent bagels, but order accuracy is so abysmal that we're going elsewhere despite the convenient location and good bagels. Probably 8 or our last 10 orders have been incorrect. Forgotten items. Breakfast sandwiches ordered with cheese coming without. Multiples of items we didn't order (and we were charged for these). Multiple times we have ordered sandwiches on rainbow bagels that came on cinnamon raisin (wasted, kids would not eat them). Today we ordered a breakfast burrito with cheese that came without and worse, ordered 2 BECs that both came without bacon. Really sick of paying for things we don't get and unhappy kids. Management needs to better communicate with the kitchen and check orders before giving them to the customer. read more

We walked out of there raving about how warmly we were treated and the level of professionalism from the staff. Our new go to place for bagels now that Bagel Stadium is gone. Gabe's even has freshly made in store whitefish salad my favorite. It's smokey and tasty but not too salty like the commercial preparations. It opens early EVERY day. Still checking out all of the bagel varieties.
