I was able to make an appointment with Dr. Baek at a time that met with my schedule. I was called to the exam room a few minutes before my appointment time and waited just a few minutes. Dr. Baek was very nice and knowledgeable and took time to explain his decisions and answer my questions and concerns. The office is located next to the Comfort Inn near Frederick Ave and Shady Grove Rd. When exiting Rte 370 to 355 South, stay in the middle lane to cross Shady Grove Rd. A few streets later, you will turn left and come to the free parking lot for the office building.

Dr. Asilli is a compassionate and outstanding podiatrist but the doctors/administrators who seem to run his office now are not. I saw wonderful Dr. Asilli for decades and most recently he refurbished my orthotics -- for which I was required to pay up front. Two and a half years later I still receive a bill for the full amount I paid from another doctor in his practice. Whenever I call, the receptionist acknowledges the mixup, politely promises to straighten it out with the billing office and call me back but I never hear from her. The billing office never answers when I try to follow up. My husband, also treated about two years ago by a different doctor, is in a similar endless loop. He had what turned out to be athlete's foot. Regretably, I talked him into seeing Dr. Mizuo, assuring him if he worked with Dr. Asilli he must be good. Dr. Mizuo put him on heavy antibiotics with uncomfortable side effects. They didn't work and he gave him another prescription that turned out to be over-the-counter cream.

This isn't always the case at medical practices, so I want to highlight this. Ana especially stands out. You can hear the empathy in her voice as she tries to resolve any issue you're facing. Thank you, Ana. Now back to Katie: she's smart, creative, experienced, and willing to help. She really cares. If you're a nurse like me, you need orthotics that make life easier for your feet as you walk your little heart out. Having a skilled orthotist to troubleshoot and find solutions when you run into bumps in the road is key, and Katie delivers. Thank you, Katie. Lastly, they have a therapy dog in the office to soothe and calm your frazzled nerves, if ya need it. That's the vibe. And that's special. Katie is building something different here, and this is just the beginning. Excited to see this practice flourish under Katie's leadership.

Been waiting since February for a prosthetic for my husband's right foot ( it is now July)! For his left foot, it also took many months, months that have left him out of shape and way behind on his rehab. Finally, got a prosthetic for left foot and it doesn't fit properly. Go in for new device and we're told it's not ready yet and to come back later. Completely inconsiderate of customers' time, health or well being. They never call back when I call for assistance or manager. And so much more.

I am writing this review based on a serious breakdown in care and professionalism…read more Dr. Deming treated me for a foot condition that later developed clear signs of infection, including increasing redness. My concerns about the affected area were not addressed. That same morning, after seeking outside guidance online, I was advised to go to the emergency room due to the risk of infection. I contacted Dr. Deming and was seen that morning, after which I was admitted to Suburban Hospital. At the hospital, the area that had previously been ignored was confirmed to be infected, and I ultimately required surgery that included the removal of bone. I then requested care from a different podiatrist. After I informed the nurse practitioner that I was withdrawing consent for further treatment from Dr. Deming, he later entered my hospital room unannounced, closed the door, and raised his voice, asking, "Am I fired?" I told him I did not want to discuss the matter. Despite this, he proceeded to give unsolicited medical advice about my foot, even though I had withdrawn consent. He ended the interaction by saying "good luck" in a derogatory tone and left visibly angry. I found this interaction distressing and inappropriate, particularly given the medical circumstances. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this provider.

I went to Dr. Michetti on the recommendation of a coworker, who somehow had a good experience with…read morehim. It was my first time going to a podiatrist; I had plantar fascitis in my left foot. I'm not a squeaky wheel or hyper critical; I know doctors are busy. I know they spent a lot of money going to med school and deserve to make a comfortable living. But after several visits, it was crystal clear to me that this practice is just about making money and patients are just widgets on an assemblyline. They overbook, you sit in a waiting room, they eventually put you in a room where you wait for the doctor, and Dr. Michetti flies in and spends 10 minutes max with you. Some visits, it was literally 5 minutes. It was always, "come back for a recheck in two weeks." It became very clear to me that billing my insurance company was the top priority. One time, they lost my foot scans (for custom orthotics), and I had to come back to get them done again. Even though it was their mistake, they charged me another copayment and billed my insurance co. When I came to pick up the orthotics, it was another copayment, another office visit billed to my insurance co. That office visit consisted of a few minutes during which Dr. Michetti said this is the left one, this is the right one, here's how they go into the shoe. Um, yeah, a 5-year-old child could have figured that out with no problem and without the need to have the doctor tell him just so he could charge for an office visit. I've never written a bad review for any doctor or other professional, but I feel that people should be aware of this before visiting this practice. I still feel guilty about all those charges to my insurance company. My and my coworkers' health insurance premiums keep rising, and I feel I helped cause this by letting this practice string me along. What could have been done in 2 visits was stretched out to 6 or 7. I'm still mad at myself for not saying something directly to Dr. Michetti or making a formal complaint.
