It was a Friday installation, and it seemed that the installers were in a hurry to leave and did not complete the installation in a professional manner. 1. The installer used the stone on my front porch as a backer to cut carpet and left cut marks in the stone. I have a photo if anyone would like to see that... 2. The tack strips on the stairs protruded through the carpet. My wife called and Don, the sales person, to explain the situation and he told her that we should hammer down the strips. I guess that means that I have to complete the job for the Edwards Crew. In the mean time, my eight year old daughter punctures the skin in heel of while walking down the stair. Don never offered to have the work corrected by his crew. 3. When the crew left there were countless pieces of cuttings laying around the floor. I called to let the Edwards office know and had the pleasure of speaking with Steve, who very nicely explained to me that they did not vacuum. The unfortunate part is that I could have raked the carpet to pick up all of the left behind scrap. It was a much larger problem than simply requiring vacuuming. Again, no offer to take care of the situation. It took us over an hour to clean up after these guys. 4. My bed and my son's dresser was not put back in the correct location. So, I had to move that as well. 5. My newly painted base boards were scratched and needed to be repainted. 6. Several hand marks and smudges on the walls had to be repaired. So, in the end, the product is fine, but the installation is very shoddy. I would not recommend Edwards or their installers in the future. When we have called the sales team to express our concerns both Don and Steve from the south Lindbergh store have expressed how sorry they are, but how they can't help. Hopefully this review will let future customers know how powerless the sales people are to deliver a quality project and how poor the installation experience was. Thanks, Lee Hahnel 8/30/15

The estimator was spot on and very professional, and the installers did great work in a timely fashion. Very respectful and asked that I check out their work each time they completed a task. After they ripped out the old carpet and padding they ask I look at the floor and suggested taking pictures of it due to some old, very nice inlay. They did it when they finished the padding install and had me walk all over it to be sure I was happy, then again with the carpet install. They did this for each room. i could not be happier with this business and the product / service they provided. nice job guys!.

I used the Yelp project assistant feature and after a short while, I received contact from Ron, via the Key Carpet Yelp business page. Ron quickly filled me in regarding his 45 years experience in carpeting repair and then reviewed some photos I sent him to get a better picture of my situation. Ron quoted me $400 for the job, using the extra carpeting material I had on hand and offered to come the very next day, Friday mid morning. Ron gave me several assurances he'd handle whatever situation was present and not to give it any more worry. I appreciated his confidence and stated flexibility regarding the job conditions and his intention to just get it done. Ron is old school and not a Prima-donna. On a prompt arrival, Ron and his helper Brayson moved our kids bed out of the way, tore out the old carpeting, filthy tack strips, and treated the area with an odor neutralizer before jumping into the installation. The whole job took almost exactly 3 hours from arrival to departure. Ron & Brayson were true beasts in knocking out the job! I'm currently unclear whether this was a referral from Key Carpet to Lenderman Flooring, or Key Carpet employees themselves... but I'm a satisfied customer either way.

While planning to sell our home we were also in the process of moving 4,500 miles away. We had multiple businesses coming to our home on certain days to do their specific jobs (cleaning, staging, photographing, open house etc). I was told several times exactly how long the installation of the carpeting should take and based all other appointments on what I had been told. While on a trip I received a call telling me the installation would take another few days, which was simply unacceptable. Thankfully, Key Carpet was able to pull employees from another job to finish ours on time. This whole process caused an extreme amount of stress and headaches. They measured, matched and ordered similar flooring to put under my washer and dryer. Those tiles could then be used to patch the area in front of the dishwasher.
