**July 2026: Saturday Morning**…read more My friend and I were visiting Phoenix and were so excited to check out Uptown Farmers Market, which is located at a large church, after hearing such great things about it. It definitely lived up to the hype and was such a fun way to spend a Saturday morning. We arrived around 8:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning and had no trouble finding parking, which was a great start. There was such a great variety of vendors, with everything from groceries and fresh bread to eggs, jams, pickled foods, soaps, and more. I'd guess there were maybe 100-150 vendors total, with most of them set up outside. There was also a section inside the church with a few vendors selling ice cream, produce, and other perishables, and that area was air conditioned, which was very welcome since it was around 110 degrees outside. They also had restrooms available, which was convenient. I believe vendor hours are from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., but because of the summer heat, my friend and I only stayed from about 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. Overall, I loved the variety of Arizona-based products and services and thought it was a really enjoyable market to visit.

Having been to the Farm-To-Fork Capitol and the markets there, my expectations were low. This market far exceeded and competed with any of the markets I've visited in the Sacramento and Napa regions! Why? Because the prices of the produce are truly amazing, the array of vendors and the friendliness of everyone was spectacular, and the entire area was clean and inviting as to the set up. I met amazing people and discussed their locally sourced products. I had no idea that Arizona grew such beautiful items. Husband and I loved our fresh delicious salad made we that evening from greens and produce from Libelula Farm and others. I hated to be GF because Noble Bread has THE MOST amazing offerings of fresh baked goods! GOOD FORM FOODS (Google them!) had THE MOST AMAZING walnut butters ever! Delish and at a great price! Husband highly recommends LOVE'S JERKEY CO which has an outstanding array of Jerkey from locally sourced beef. The various beautiful fresh flower displays for sale were delightful. And... THE FOOD VENDORS WERE PLENTIFUL and all looked amazing! I highly recommend stopping by and giving K-TOWN IN AZ and BAGEL DADDIES a try as their delicious fresh made items are hard to resist! Five stars for this amazing event!!!!

The Ahwatukee Farmer's Market is a great local Sunday stop. It's not huge or fancy, but it has…read moreexactly what a neighborhood market should -- local farmers, artisans, fresh bread, coffee, prepared foods, and a great community vibe. This season I especially want to call out Lorenna Gallagher from Seeds and Good Deeds. She sold me the freshest eggs I've ever had. The yolks were deep golden and rich, and the flavor was noticeably better than anything you'll find in a store. Lorenna is part of a Phoenix collective doing urban gardening in the Phoenix and Tempe area and giving back to the community. Hearing about how she carefully raises and feeds her chickens, and recently expanded her flock, made the experience even more impressive -- and you can absolutely taste the difference. Be sure to seek out Seeds and Good Deeds when you visit the market. Supporting vendors like Lorenna is exactly what makes a local farmers market special.

I live close by and wanted to show my mom this farmer's market and this is one of the few markets that operate on Sundays. The best one I have been to in the Phoenix area is the Uptown Farmer's Market, so if you come to this one, you'll be disappointed. Its still fun to come here and check it out and today when we stopped by there was a music artist playing a cover of Bohemian Rhapsody and that made the trip worthwhile.
