It's very convenient that Crunch Fitness has so many locations near me. The Plano location is a bit…read morefarther west, but it was closer to our friend's place, so we decided to meet up here. They also had a promotion going on with bring a friend free for Cinco de Mayo weekend. The gym size is smaller than the East Plano location and has fewer equipment options. The free weights and machine areas also feel a bit more compact, with less space between sections. That said, I still like that they're open 24 hours on weekdays. I believe it's the only Crunch Fitness in the area with the flexible hours, probably due to being close to UTD. It's still a solid gym when I'm on this side of town.

My experience trying to cancel my membership has been unbelievably frustrating and feels designed to make cancellation nearly impossible. When I attempted to cancel, I was told that I could not cancel unless I paid a renewal fee that had not even come due yet. In other words, I would have to pay a future renewal fee just to stop my membership. That made absolutely no sense. Because of this, I went into the gym in person to resolve the issue. I spoke directly with the General Manager, Chris Marriotti, explained the billing situation, and told him that I had been unable to cancel my membership properly. He told me that both my wife's membership and my membership were canceled and that everything was taken care of. Unfortunately, that was not true. Despite being told in person by the general manager that the memberships were canceled, the gym continues to charge the account and has now even added late fees. The memberships still appear to be active even though we were told everything had been handled. So now I am dealing with charges, late fees, and a membership that was supposed to already be canceled by management. This has been an extremely frustrating experience. When a customer goes in person, speaks to the general manager, and is told everything is resolved, that should be the end of it. Instead, it has turned into an ongoing billing issue. If you are considering joining this gym, I strongly recommend reading the contract very carefully and understanding exactly how their cancellation process works before signing anything.

Because it's a small gym in a shopping center that's very convenient to access and provides the things that I need to have in a gym. For the price point and the convenience it's really hard to beat having access to all the cardio and weights you could need. I was there over lunch and it was not very crowded at all. By the time I left at like 1:45 I was one of maybe 3-4 people in there. No locker rooms. No problem. Standalone bathrooms for all genders have showers in them. Some small lockers available in the main area. Free weights, squat rack, two landmine attachments, tons of equipment... The 24/7 unstaffed model is really cool, and, it seems, is the only way to make a gym accessible 24/7 in this economy. Gone are the days of every 24-Hour Fitness location actually being 24 hours. (They should just change their name at this point.) The owner, Michaela, was very friendly and helped me get signed up via my gym membership plan extremely quickly. I had Visited this location on three different occasions and the front desk workers were not polite or welcoming. Their names were Mark and Issac. Isaac specifically did not help me when I came to the desk on three different occasions to ask for help with the wireless chargers. He did not even walk over to Help and I ended up having to figure out how to work the machine when he could've just walked over and Gave me a simple hand with the machine. Instead of walking over to me and helping he sat on his personal phone at the front desk. After figuring out how to work the machine on my own I walked over to the desk for a fourth time and let Isaac know how he can help the next person since I figured out the issue but while waiting to speak with him he pretended like he was on the work phone and just held it to his ear while I stood there waiting for him to be done with his "Phone call". Other than that the gym was flawless but the customer service was unfortunately terrible on three different occasions. The other reason I joined was the location is just five minutes from my Dallas house. Max and Lewis talked me into giving Recovery a try for a couple months. I am very glad I took their advice. I am still regularly using Recovery. After one year I can make the following review: First, the Dallas facility is maintained better than any other fitness center I have ever gone to. It is always very clean, and the machines almost always are in excellent condition. The locker rooms and sauna are spotless. Second, the personal are very friendly. The personal trainers are experienced, educated and dedicated. Third, the staff working Recovery are very nice and competent. Ishani has pushed me to increase my Cryo time and use a colder setting. I am not crazy about the Cryo Chamber, but after I warm up, I feel fantastic. I really appreciate Ishani pushing me. Finally, Club Studio recently hired Janie to be the supervisor and in charge of Recovery. She worked at Club Studio in San Antonio and is very experienced. I recently injured my hamstring, and she worked with me on the settings of the Red Light Therapy. I double checked her advice with AI and both were very consistent. I took their hot yoga class, which was both refreshing and energizing. The instructor was incredibly kind and hands-on with her guidance, making the class enjoyable for all levels. The facility itself has so much to offer! It really feels like a one-stop shop for fitness and wellness. There's a small cafe on-site, which is perfect for grabbing something before or after a workout. They also have multiple pickleball courts, which adds a fun, social element to the experience. My favorite part was definitely the recovery area. They offer cryotherapy, infrared light therapy, compression, and massage chairs. I personally tried the compression therapy and was very satisfied with how it made me feel afterward. Overall, this is an amazing space if you're looking to combine workouts, recovery, and convenience all in one place!

Rebekah is the best, her classes are great (and she has the best playlists)! I haven't used the tennis, pickleball, basketball, or rock climbing wall so I can't speak on those but they look wonderful. The best thing about this place is how clean it is! The whole place is filled with staff members that are always cleaning and folding towels but are very helpful and polite if you have a question. The price tag isn't fun for anyone, but as long as you use the facilities and take classes (there is one for everyone!) it's totally worth it in my opinion.
