I expressed my disbelief since they advertise free estimates and I gave him the code, but he didn't really care. He proceeded to tell me how much his diagnostic machine cost and the monthly subscription for it. I asked what was covered under the free estimates. Apparently, it's the hand-written list of numbers it will cost for the repair. I didn't feel like they wanted my business. Strange considering I know my car needs other repairs, so who knows how much money they could've gotten from me? Certainly more than $80 wrapped into the final price of the repairs.
