Roots and Fire Water - Jasmine Peach

Rarely do I make it out to the Far South Suburbs. Lots of options are in the city center, and…read moretraffic going in and out of Chicago proper is simply maddening. But I did make it out to Country Club Hills and while taking my time returning to Chicago, I stopped by Roots and Fire Water in Homewood after seeing that they sold tea. It is a boutique shop that feels more like a self care space that has a few tea options. I have a love for rooibos, green, jasmine, and white tea because I mix them with natural juices (e.g., orange, cranberry, apple, melons, celery, cucumber, and the like) that I make at home. Mixing loose leaf tea with natural juices is a really good way to get natural sweetening and light teas like white tea don't compete with the flavor of the juices. Nevertheless, there were no base teas. I bought a jasmine peach herbal tea packet and a passion fruit green tea packet with the understanding that I wouldn't add anything to them. They have already been infused with flavor. I checked the catalog of teas online and see that the selection is limited. When I want some green or herbal teas that have been accented already, I may order from them online.

Discovered this spot while driving across the US along the I-80 and my partner had a great time…read morewith one of the owners and came out with an absolutely delightful Jasmine Peach tea. Highly highly recommend for tea lovers. I'm so sorry Tina Harris for taking so long to post this review about the good service that you…read moreprovided and the great savings that you made for me on my behalf.you helped me gather all the parts and wires I needed to get my garage rewired for a new automatic door installation that I was having done. It was approximately three weeks ago. Thank you Home Depot has one great employee. No make that several. I just can't remember the other young ladies names that helped me the other day and of course there's Mr. Miller.

I'll never return to this store. I went in to buy a replacement battery and line for my Ryobi grass…read moretrimmer. I had to ask for customer assistance to unlock where the batteries were kept. When I returned to the aisle, as a young man slowly approached, he said nothing so I couldn't tell if was an employee or not. Finally I said "Are you here to help me?" He mumbled what I assumed was an affirmative response so I explained what I needed and he just stared at the batteries and said nothing. I tried to pry some kind of communication out of him but it was clear that he had no skills in that respect. He then called someone else to help and that person wasn't much better. He looked up something on his phone and found that the 18volt battery I needed was in aisle 10 and began walking away so I followed him. When we arrived at aisle 10, he pointed at a battery package that comes with the charger. I told him I only needed the battery and he said nothing and started looking at him phone again. So I looked up at the sign that listed everything on the end cap display and saw the single battery listed for$89. I then saw the spot on the shelf for it that was empty. I said "It looks like you're sold out of them". He kept staring at his phone saying nothing so I said "Maybe you have some in back?" He said nothing so I said " I guess I'll just come back some other time." He said nothing and I realized that between the two of them they spoke a total of maybe 5 or 10 words total. I can't believe they have people like this working in their store dealing with customers. I'll never go back to that store.
