Clarks has always been a brand I trusted for a long lasting comfortable shoe. I sure hope this location is still open since I haven't been in here in a while. I've been wearing my ankle boots for years. I ended up putting an insole in them for added comfort. Sometimes I wish I needed a new pair because I've had my eye on their classic styles for a long while. Customer service isn't a pushy and overselling type style. I always enjoy my browsing visits. My friend and I walked inside to check out the different kinds of winter shoes they have. Clark's are known for their leather and long lasting goodness. I wondered around and checked out the many styles: stuff for work, stuff for winter, stuff that's waterproof, stuff that is good for going out. Many options are available here. My friend wanted boots without a heel and also covered the ankles. I know we didn't find what we were looking for, but I could tell there are so many great finds in here. The price range is over a hundred and under two hundred. I think that's reasonable for high quality and durable shoe. I would return and check out more shoes! read more

My task today was simple , go to Clarks on 3rd ave and 60th st to pick up a pair of size 8 ladies casual slip ons and bring them to my aunts house but I was digging the displays of the men's footware so I roamed around a bit and left with 3 boxes instead of one . Plenty of footware available for ladies and gents from sporty, casual, dress and funky styles with prices that are a bit on the pricey side but not insanely expensive . I like how comfortable the shoes I purchased are and they are considered shoes and not sneakers but look sporty casual enough for everyday wear. I checked out some of the negative comments from other reviews about the customer service but I can honestly say that the gal who helped me was very nice and picked 2 pairs of shoes for me that I won't return or throw in my closet to gather dust. I don't recommend this place. Only one person (out of 4) offered to help me & I wasn't greeted upon entering. Everyone else stood around talking to each other. The customer service started off fine but then I was completely forgotten about by the employee that was helping me. I had at least 4 pairs of shoes sitting in front of me, too!! I'm surprised at the bad comments about customer service because my experience was very positive. Although I arrived in the last hour before closing (which at some places means bad service), a sales clerk immediately greeted me. When I told her what I wanted, she decided that a different employee was better suited to help me, so she referred me to Kapri. He was very patient and helped me find a pair I liked. I just bought a cute pair of red sandals here. They're being shipped to my home, since Clarks didn't have my size in red in stock. No extra charge. I like that. I like Clarks. My favorite boots, which I bought early last year, are from here. Be warned, this location is chronically understaffed. Today the sales guy was so pleasant, it made up for it. This review is about the customer service, not the product. It's been a long time since I went into a shoe store -- or any store -- and felt like the people working there actually cared about doing their jobs well. I'm sorry I can't remember the young man's name who helped me, but he was very pleasant and knew the products in detail. Everyone working there was friendly, helpful and eager to make my shopping experience as high quality as possible. As a contrast, I recently went into the Mephisto shoe store (much more expensive shoes!) up the block. The people working there simply couldn't be bothered to talk to me, let alone help me with anything -- and I was the only person in the store! I give Clarks 4 stars, knocking off 1 star because the store itself is not very well laid out. As far as I could tell, there is only 1 full-length mirror on the ladies' side, so if someone is using it, you have to wait your turn. read more

I only have one experience shopping in this store, and I don't anticipate on having another one. The customer service here is terrible. After a very long time, I was finally helped by a salesperson. When they didn't have the shoes I wanted in my size, I asked to order them. I was told they would call me when they arrived... 2 weeks later, no shoes. I tried calling the store a few times, and I was assured that someone would call me when they came in. Nobody called, and the manager could not confirm the whereabouts of the shoes when I called to ask where they were. I finally ordered my shoes on another website, and will be seeing them shortly. Service here was really slow. I went in on a Wednesday, at around 3:30-4:00pm, and it was a mad house. Customers were hovering near the cash registers to try to get sizes. Or they would just accost an employee who was on his/her way to help someone else, which would fluster the employee, thus creating a high stress environment for everyone there. I have to say I did not have a good overall shopping experience here. Perhaps it was because a bunch of the items were on sale and so it may have been busier than normal. But perhaps they should have factored this in while scheduling the shifts? I bought two pairs (for their $99 special), and one of the shoes they didn't have in stock, so they ordered it for me (it came within a week because it was coming from New Jersey). The pair that I did walk away with, however, had a glue blemish on it, and they were not able to give me a better price on it. Oh well. In general, Clarks shoes are great, but I'll probably go to the other location next time. read more

My feet are wimps. I can wear shoes for some time and be fine, then BAM I get blisters. It sucks to buy shoes for myself. However, Clarks is now my go-to brand for comfortable footwear. I now own waterproof sneakers, snow boots, oxfords (in two colors!) and sandals from this store. At first glance the price may turn you off BUT your feet are important. If your feet hurt, you will NOT be happy. You get what you pay for in this case for sure. The sales are usually pretty good and every time I come in the employees are very attentive. We went there just before closing time today, and the manager (David) was also very pleasant (very helpful, too). The service at this place was quite bad. Well my husband bought 2 pair of shoes from this store and one of the shoe was out of stock for his size. The sales associate suggested that they could order and we will get it between 5-7 working days. So after about a week we have not heard anything from them, so my husband gave a call to the store to check on the status of his shoe. The person who picked up the phone was not able to give a definite answer, she said it would be arriving in the following week. After 2 weeks, we have not heard anything from them.. And we decided to visit the store to check on the status of the shoe. According to them, the shoe is on the way.. Well first of all, it is not our problem if the shoe had some issue/ delay during the shipping. At the receipt, it was written there 5-7 days and now, it's been like 2 weeks plus! Worst case, they should have contact us to inform on the status.. At least to give us some info on the whereabouts and what happened to the shoe. After visited the store, we finally received the shoe after 3 days. All in all, it took us about 3 weeks and a half to received the shoes. My suggestion is that if you are going to order from them, just make sure to do a follow-up so that you could get your item on time as promised. read more

Bought a pair of Clark sneakers to wear on vacation. On my first day, I slipped and fell. The shoes were very slippery. Duri g my whole vacation I had to be careful not to fall again When I got home I took them back. They would only give store credit for half of the price of the shoes.I paid $130 wore them a,week and was given only $65 as compensation for a badly bruised hip. i wander in here on my lunch break sometimes. i like clarks 'indigo' and 'structure' lines particularly their flats but i never buy them because they are well flat and i like pretending to be taller. so i found some 2" clogs on sale the other day and i special ordered my first pair of clarks. as promised i picked up my shoes 5 days later i wore them home but immediately had buyers remorse.. i was torn, i was tall and comfortable but my feet were ugly, i mean they were REALLY ugly but in a cute sort of pug-faced way. so i deliberated... and deliberated and eventually returned them. clarks took them back for a full refund even though i had special ordered them and worn them home and then waited a week to return them. thanks clarks! i don't think i will ever actually buy any shoes here again, i like my shoes a little prettier and not so chunky or orthopedic but i plan on taking my significant other here to get some shoes, apparently his 1/8th of an inch man heels hurt him. maybe he can get some old school chukkas... in short: shoes so fugly only a mother could love them. but man are they comfortable. read more

Just came in to browse. In search for some new shoes. Shoes look great and are fairly priced. I would say $80-$120 for most pairs. If you want a pair of shoes that look like Allen Edmonds, or another stylish $300+ brand without the cost, then come here. This store is pretty awful with customer service; on a normal Saturday afternoon I was ignored by three free salespersons until someone who was already helping another customer noticed me and helped me out with a size..only to bring me the wrong shoe in the wrong size. I noticed there were several salespersons helping out a couple who did not speak English well who appeared to be buying several paris of boots. I recognize making money is important, but don't ignore the local NYC residents who come into your store for help. I purchased similar leather shoes for my husband and started having problems with the leather detaching from the sole and the sole wearing out. I sent them in to be exchanged and they sent the original pair back stating excessive or abusive wear. They might think my husband was playing football in them! Their customer service manager Emily is very rude and she told me "sorry there is nothing I can do for you, I don't think Clarks Shoes is the company for you and your husband!" WOW!!! I was a bit disappointed by selection at this shop. I was hoping for a bit more such as imported or limited edition models. Also, the shoes are $10-$20 more expensive than what I've found at various shoe shops around Manhattan and Brooklyn. This store is so dingy. You would expect them to be good since it's on Lexington. The employees are chattering all the time with each other and they're so rude. I was told by the manager that my shoes would be here the next day since they ran out of my size, I understood and he promised it will be there by the next day. I went back and they didn't have it and the employee rudely suggested "I better get going," since they weren't prepared. You're far better off going to Bloomingdales which is right next door with brand new shoes and actual people who will help. So I walk in to this store so lost and confused on what to get him and if he will like it and a young lady name. "Biana" offers me some help ! She was very helpful and I showed her on my phone what I think he would like and she asked me different questions on how he dresses and also what does he do on a daily basis and I ended up getting something else but the point of the story is he really liked the shoes she picked ! And he didn't even like my choices lol so I wanted to thank her I am actually in another state rite now visiting family but if you are going to shop in this store ask for Biana she will help you and she's also very nice ! Firstly, I love Clark shoes. They are becoming more and more stylish and are comfortable. However, my experience in this particular store was subpar. I felt very rushed by the salesperson, who continuously kept urging me to decide on my choice. although I love Clark shoes,the sizes are not Consistent among the styles- which is fine but the salesperson didn't seem to get it. Anyway, I chose to leave the shoes because I couldn't deal with that. I decided on taking advantage of the buy 3 get 3 sock sale. I had been to another Clark store a few days before and that sale included the No/show socks/peds in the sale. This store didn't, ok fine. However the manager (I think?) accused me of being "argumentative " when I tried to get clarification on the sale. Argumentative ? About socks? Geeze- I left the store. read more
