I contracted to rent an aerator for my lawn on Monday. I asked her if they clean out the tines after each use. People have different grass , some have Bermuda hybrid. I have fescue and would not want my lawn to get contaminated with another variety. To my surprise, Kim said they do not clean the tines out. I still contracted with them, being just down the road and a local Pittsboro business. I woke up Monday morning , got my coffee and the aerator was sitting n my lawn. This was about 8:30 am. Great!!!!!! I checked out the machine and it was dirty. The tines and wedged in the wheel hub were grass, weeds , etc. I took the hose and removed all the debris . Cleaned it up so I would not contaminate my yard. The aerator was kinda goose. Either it was full bore or very slow , nothing in between the throttle. I did make due and went slow. Got good plugs and the job was done. I did clean the aerator up and called them. They came and picked it up. I do like the company, with a little extra time, they could clean up the machines. It took me maybe 10 to 15 minutes with a hose cleaning it. That is why my rating went from a 5 star to a 3. I have rented aerators many times in the past. From Town & Country , Home Depot. They clean all their rental equipment when it is returned. I suggest that Pittsboro Outdoor Power Equipment take time to do that also. The people are very pleasant and they have a nice business.

She was extremely hateful on the phone. Karen wanted to know why we didn't empty the water out of the drum( isn't that what you pay a repair tech for?). They came out and looked and said it would be $250 to repair. The washing machine isn't even worth $250. I did some research and fixed the problem with a wire nut and electrical tape (valued at approximately $1.50). These guys are crooks and have terrible customer service. They didn't even put the washer back together when they left. I'm all about shopping local but I'd go elsewhere when looking for appliances or service.

About a year and a half ago we called on ward brothers to help us with a septic issue. We have…read moreseptic running under our house. We called on them to A. Find our tank because our county had no records and we've not lived there long at all and bought the house from our mother. B. We needed our repair. Here's how ward brothers handled the situation. They diagnosed our problem, which was a maple tree that had grown through the old pipes. Our house was built in 1940, keep in mind. They poked around for not one day, two, but three days and not one, two, or three employees but three and the owners to try and find our tank to assess further damage. They then found two old tanks, original to the home, that were dry. Doesn't seem like a problem right? Well on that third day they brought out an excavator to uproot the tree and replace the old piping. They told us they would uproot the tree for free, which they later charged us for, and replace the pipe. So in replacing the old piping, they managed to completely tear up our yard, place new piping and then tell us we need an entire new septic system which would cost us $8000. Absolutely obsurd when the same company installed 3 new tanks for a business for just a few thousand more. Upon this news several people left to get supplies and the only honest employee told me that the brothers, THE OWNERS OF THE COMPANY, wanted to leave our open septic system until another day and not even finish repiping the system COMPLETELY! Which we paid over $800 for. And to top everything off, had they looked 3 more feet to the right of where there looked for the tank to begin with, they would have found our septic tank. And to add insult to injury several employees left garbage laying in our yard and stole our shovel and seemed to laugh the entire way through this process. I would NEVER recommend these guys to anyone. Why we were cheated and treated so poorly is beyond me. But thanks for the inconvenience. Oh and did mention that when we actually had a reputable company come assess their shoddy work, they had done a shoddy job. Wow.
