I bought a house in Rural Hall (north of Winston Salem) and it is not connected to city sewer and instead uses septic. Well since I was not made aware when the last time the septic tank was serviced and the average life is 3-5 years I thought it would be a good idea to get this done. I put in the request into the Project bidding and Yelp gave me four companies. Mountain View Septic came back with a response in less than five minutes and then another company in about ten minutes but wanted to talk about the job on the phone. After calling the other company and not hearing back from the other two I agreed to Mountain View's cost for the service. Christian gave me a good cost and had a 10% off on Yelp for first-time customers. We set up a time and I had to delay it due to a meeting I had scheduled. Christian was very flexible on the delay and showed up on time. After talking about the job for a few minutes Christian went about locating the septic tank and then once found, uncovered it and opened it up. According to Christian, the tanks were about 3/4 of the way full so I thought the timing of this service was great. I can imagine a nightmare of waking up in the middle of the night to backed-up toilets. The service was relatively quick and Christian was extremely informative about the septic tank and how it performs. I had no idea that much was involved in the process but he certainly did and it was good information to know about. If you need septic services I would highly recommend Mountain View Septic, although relatively new in the business, Christian was knowledgeable, friendly, flexible on the schedule, and reasonable on the costs.

This guy drove the excavator to the far right side of the yard for no reason when the septic area is towards the far left. You can see 2x 24 by 24 inch square blocks that I placed down where the septic lids are located. I told the guy that is where he needs to dig, and he will find the lid, but he did not want to listen. I told him that 1 hole is about 12 inches down, and the other is about 15 inches down, and there is no reason to use an excavator, but he did not want to listen. There are plenty of other companies out there, and this is one I Do Not Recommend.

My toilet was flushing well that was Friday afternoon. Saturday it started all over again. I waited until Monday morning to call (I have another bathroom). They called me back shortly after I left the message Monday morning and came back out Monday afternoon. Today is Wednesday and all is well. I paid on Friday what I thought was a reasonable rate. I asked Monday if I owed anything and was told no it's covered. I would highly recommend them. Hopefully I won't have to use them again, but if I have a Plumbing issue they will be who I call.
