About 8-9 years ago, I went to Fleet Feet for a pair of running shoes and was fitted with the Nike Pegasus and really enjoyed the service and experience. So even though I didn't need a new pair of sneakers (I already have 13 pairs cause I'm a legit shopaholic), I decided to go back to Fleet Feet for some expert opinion. I made an appointment online earlier in the day and I'm glad I did. They were a couple of people in there already and the guy who was helping someone else (a walk-in) actually told him that he's going to have to help me first since I had an appointment. I was surprised that he did that, but also appreciative that he did because it seemed like the gentleman had walked in only a couple of minutes before me so I probably would have waited a while if he had to finish helping him. They have this new 3D foot scanning machine now and it's pretty cool! I now know so much more about my feet's profile which will surely help with all my future shoe purchases. They can make custom inserts based on the scanning results but they're like $150 a pair. I wasn't ready to make that kind of commitment yet so I ended up just getting 2 pairs of $50 inserts that I'll be able to use in most of my sneakers where the original inserts are removable. I've been using them for the last week or two in various sneakers and they've worked pretty well. I don't have any pictures of my visit there but here's a pic of my current workout sneaker collection, which includes the purple Nike Pegasus I got from my first visit to Fleet Feet years ago. I've really enjoyed the level of service and experience from both visits over the years, and I will definitely return the next time I need (more like "want") new sneakers!

I've been going through a lot of shoes lately so while I've been in the malls around Western New York I've checked out a bunch of shoe stores in the past few months. Famous Footwear has better prices than most, but a much less extensive selection than the shoe stores that I like to shop at. I mean it's great to find cheap stuff but what's the point having cheap stuff if you can't find anything that you really want to wear. Nice service though, and definitely a credit to this mall.

No. My disgust with the options available almost lead me to purchase a pair of men's shoes at Zumies, but those were too big and personally, for what they were I felt they were seriously overpriced. 90 bucks for a glorified tennis shoe. No thanks Nike. I ended up finding a pair of Tevas at Famous Footwear that I really liked. While they seemed overpriced, they ended up being on sale (by 20 bucks!) and the assistant manager gave me 5% off for a bit of fraying on the stitching (nothing that will affect the quality of the shoes). No complaints over the customer service at all! If they just had a better selection and more sizes in stock, I would give a higher rating!

This store was my introduction to the chain and Kohl's cash. Last month, my original plan was to stay in Buffalo. I changed my mind and ended up in Niagara Falls for the first time. However, I had placed an order for pickup at this store, to stroll down memory lane and take advantage of a sale on a pair of Vans sneakers. Sure, I could have found a closer Kohl's, but I wanted to return to where my love for this chain started. My drive was pleasant after work on a Monday evening. It felt the same. I pulled into the parking lot, and was happy to see this store was still alive and kicking. The difference was that Sephora wasn't a part of this Kohl's back then. It was my first time picking up an order here, which was also new to me at this store. I walked in and noticed how clean it was. Spring and gardening merchandise greeted me. It was cheerful and inviting. There were signs pointing me to the washroom and the self-pickup order area. The former seemed like a good idea. The powder area (seems so dated as a term, but it's what I'm going to call it) was pretty, with a flower arrangement in front of a large mirror. The women's washroom was nicely maintained. It was clean. No complaints. I headed over to the self-pickup order area. The process is to find your e-mail indicating that your Kohl's order is ready. You click a link in the message and follow the steps where you say that you're at the store. You then get a pickup spot number to fetch your order. Mine was 265. It clearly had my name labelled on the paper bag with handles. I was happy. I didn't buy anything on top of my pickup order. I did enjoy browsing around to check out fashion trends. I am more of a classic person when it comes to clothing. However, I saw shorter jackets with large pockets being trendy. I probably have a couple of jackets at home that I can pull out and look equally as trendy for a brief moment... haha! I make it a habit to check out purses. I liked everything from floral prints, to heart-shaped purses. The bedroom decor section was a lot of fun. I liked seeing clouds and rainbows as neat pieces. There was a rainbow abacus that was cool, but was sort of broken. I fixed it by placing the metal arc back into a socket in the wooden base. If it weren't that messed up, I would have bought it because it was cool and geeky. It was wonderful returning to this store. I am pleased that it's still standing. It was great shopping here again. There were huge boxes stacked up in the bedding area making it difficult to get around. I'm certain this is a serious fire code violation! I hadn't been in the store for a long time and I have to say it was a mess! Not what I expected! I didn't purchase anything. I didn't see any service people except at the front check out area. I didn't feel comfortable shopping without proper access to the merchandise and to a clear route out of the store. So I went to another business and made my purchases there. I cannot comment on value. I'm certain there's a safer, more efficient way to stock your store.

I went home and ordered online because there were a couple dresses they had in store that were online returns but not in my size ... but I wanted them! All 5 dresses I ordered fit perfectly which is a miracle for me, especially with my hourglass figure. I returned to this store again because I was mailed coupons and earned rewards. I ended up getting two more dresses and and my first pant-romper! They are all for my upcoming vacations and I'm so excited to wear them!!
