Employee Review: Employees Beware…read more Upon a handshake agreement with the owner (Ken) to work as a helper at $100/day or $10/ph, I worked over a week with the owner (Ken) only to be ghosted when I attempted to collect my pay. Evidently there's a pattern of this behavior with TX Workforce Commission. The owner hires "employees" with a promise to pay them for their work upon completion of often long, drawn out, jobs then ghosts them on payday. He not only failed to pay me for more than a week's worth of work (7am-7pm / sometimes even later) he invited me to stay with him throughout the "workweek" and then told me to walk home from Travis to Bell county the day the job was completed. He has since ignored all attempts at communication and payment collections. Make sure you get something in writing before accepting a job at Ken's Kooling, he ruins my family's holidays, dont let him do it to you too.
