After a thorough search online and in the Austin Hill country area, we chose McIntosh Heating & AC to install a Two Zone Mitsubishi AC / Heat Pump unit in our home office. They were, by far, the most reasonably priced and got us on the schedule quickly. They told us that they would arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 am on Wednesday morning to begin work. Guess what... on Wednesday morning the installation duo arrived at 8:45 as stated and started the installation process. By 3:30pm the AC units in both offices had been installed as well as the exterior unit. Once the units were turned on, it took about 30 minutes to an hour to cool the offices off on a 100 degree day. Both myself and my office mate were impressed with the cooling power of the Mitsubishi Mini split system but, just as importantly, the units were amazingly quiet. We are very pleased with the quality of the work performed by McIntosh and have invited them back out to give us an estimate on replacing our home system. As a General Contractor in the Southwest region I am used to dealing with all kinds of service providers, some better than others. I would give McIntosh an A+ rating from first phone call to completed installation. In a modern day society where everyone seems to be over busy and running behind, they showed up on time, performed a quality install, were pleasant and made the whole process very easy in an "Old School" kind of way. We first met McIntosh AC about 25 years ago when we moved to Marble Falls. That are rock solid in every way. They installed our Trane unit 20 years ago when the old one went out. They were on time, under budget, and oh so easy to deal with. Over the years they have taken care of us. I call it a Lexus level of service . Because it's the best. Just like my ride. Two weeks ago, we had guest in the nest and it got hot at 8 pm. No cool air! Ugh. I called and left a message and within 10 minutes received a call from Tim ( my hero). He helped installed my current Trane. It was a rare night here and an even rarer cool front so we waited until the next morning for service. He was here early, resolved the problem and flew off like Superman. Saving the planet again. My husband is an IBMer, retired He is an expert in service. I had an issue with my Trane mini split system where the unit wasn't staying on for more than 5 minutes. Anyone who is familiar with the weather in Texas in July can understand that this is a true emergency. The McIntosh tech Tim came out and quickly diagnosed the issue, a bad capacitor in the main unit. The replacement part was ordered and arrived a couple of days later. Danny came out to replace the part and was extremely professional and courteous. He had the part replaced very quickly and spent extra time explaining how to keep the unit running efficiently. He was an excellent representative of McIntosh and I will definitely be using them again. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this company. We have had Tim of McIntosh AC/Heating out three times now and each and every time he has solved our problem quickly and efficiently. Today he fixed a problem with our heater that had been an issue since we built our house nine years ago (the original installer had incorrectly wired the thermostat). Tim is extremely dependable.
