Worst customer service i've ever received. It's taken them two and a half months, and they still don't have my bills straightened out.

This is the absolute worst place for taking care of patients. Their hours are 9-5 and only open one late night, Thursday. Not open on weekends. If you work outside of Hilliard it is difficult to get there. I was on my way and got stuck in the construction. I was worried to make it by 5:00 and called. They said they would not wait. I only had to pick something up. I arrived at 5:02 and the doors were locked and all the lights off. All They had to do was wait 5 min to help a customer. They should be embarrassed for their selfish practices. read more

In June 2021, I took my son, Logan into the Hilliard, Ohio location on Cosgray Rd, for an exam and glasses. We paid for the glasses in advance and were told we'd receive them in a week or 2. I called the office a week later, and was told they weren't in yet. So we went on vacation and forgot about them. We weren't contacted again until 9 months later in early March of 2022, and told they had them in. We weren't happy about this, but we went in and picked them up. My son said they were blurry, so we took them back for a refund. We asked why we hadn't been contacted earlier, and they said they only had a record of contacting us about them 3 months earlier in December of 2021, that we had no idea about. I asked what number they tried to call, but wasn't given an answer. My son wasn't eligible for another exam and glass for 3 more months, so I requested that the office give us an exam and credit for glasses now, rather than making him wait another 3 months as he needs glasses now. They refused. They also didn't initially give me a full refund. So I called the corporate office to voice my concerns, and while they were friendly, and agreed that the office had made a mistake, they did nothing for us but refer us back to the local district manager. I received a call the next day from a lady named Tawny Baumgartner, the local DM. I explained my concerns to her, and I wasn't rude in any way. But she had already made up her mind, and was quite rude herself. She told me that Clarkson wouldn't be doing anymore for us, and that we weren't welcome back to Clarkson. My family has been a customer at another local office for years, and I was very offended. She went as far as to contact that office and have the store send me a letter telling us we weren't welcome back there to see the doctor I've seen for over 40 years. I've experienced some terrible customer service in my time, but this was especially bad given that the contested issue was their fault to begin with, they made no effort to make amends for it, and that my family had such a long standing relationship with the company. I'd also like to point out that Clarkson made an effort to suppress my original post because it wasn't specific enough. I guess they thought wouldn't bother to post again. read more

I haven't been to the eye doctor in 4+ years. I don't visit doctors' offices very often, but this place came highly recommended. There was a slightly longer than expected wait when I arrived, but that was well compensated for by the doctor and the staff. They were short staffed that morning, so they were understandably running behind schedule. Once I was taken back by one of the ladies, she quickly ran some tests & had the doctor come in for the exam. The exam took approximately 15-20 minutes & I was back out in the lobby picking out glasses frames. The doctor was very quick, but very thorough in his exam of my eyes, both for glasses & contacts. The girl that helped me select the frames was accommodating & helped me choose a stylish, yet studious, frame. She explained the breakdown of charges very well to me also. In conclusion, extremely friendly staff, office is well laid out, lots of glasses & contact options and the doctor does an excellent job examining. Definitely recommend! read more

Rinkov Eyecare does a fantastic job and uses some the latest technology to make sure that your vision is the best it can be. They are friendly, explain everything that's going on, ensure your appointment remains on schedule, and provides great help when you need to get glasses. This was my first experience with Clarkson's. I was really hesitant about going my daughter's and I all had a great experience with Dr Jordan. He was professional, kind and very informative about my options and changes that needed to be made to keep our eyes healthy. I wasn't extremely impressed with the brand selection of glasses initially, but as I looked we all managed to find something that we liked. Clarkson had a variety of styles and cute options, just not the brand I wanted. I can honestly say I would go back to Clarkson's for my families next eye exam! read more

I have been going to Dr. Rader in Hilliard for almost 5 years now and I have always had a very pleasant experience. This was the first time I had been back since the switch to Rinkov, so I was a little apprehensive just of a change in general. I can say that though the faces may have changed since I had last been in, I was absolutely delighted by how welcoming and sweet all of the ladies were! Making my appointment was super easy (I got in the very day after I called) and everyone who I spoke with was friendly and all smiles! They answered all questions and even gave me an extra set of contacts for the road. My only regret is that I only get to see them once a year, because they are just that awesome! I have been going to see Dr. Rader for 7+ years and didn't have any problems until they merged with Rinkov. I called and scheduled my daughter an appointment for an exam with a contact prescription. They quoted me 89.00 for the exam and I specifically asked if I needed to pay the contact fitting fee again as my daughter has been wearing contacts that Dr. Rader prescribed since she was 8 and I was informed I would not have to pay that since she is a previous patient and had contacts before. I pull her out of school and have her grandmother take her since I was at work all to be told that the information I was provided was INCORRECT and they would not honor was I was told. My new total was going to be 169.00 so needless to say I instructed them to leave. Both of my daughters and myself will never go back to this place and my mother will be looking for a new place for her and my father (also current patients) to go for the inconvenience of her wasting a trip for nothing. read more
