I also started having more and more frequent headaches, no matter what we did with the prescription. I decided to make a consultation to see if I was eligible for Lasik. I'm so glad I did! The consultation was fantastic. The front desk lady was also a tech and did all my testing before the doctor. She was soooo great and personable. She made me feel so at ease and comfortable. Next, the doctor did some other tests and decided I was a good candidate for LASIK. She was absolutely great as well and told me it would be life-changing for me since my eyesight was so bad. She was right! So, on my procedure day, we were told to be there around 230pm. I can say we waited sooo long before I went back, over 2 hours past my appointment. It was a bit frustrating, but not a huge deal. There were many people there, like way more than I expected to be there. Anyway, once I went back, my eyes were numbed with some drops, then it was showtime! The room with the laser has an "observation" area; my fiance was able to watch the entire procedure through the windows and on the monitor. I thought that was super cool. As far as the procedure went? Easy, so easy. The doctor made me feel so comfortable, talked me through everything, and it was a flawless experience. Makes me wish I did this a decade ago. It didn't hurt at all, and I couldn't believe how easy it was to get through. I had some stinging later that night, but nothing crazy. The next day, some photosensitivity, but nothing I'm not accustomed to anyway. Seriously, an easy experience! This was a great idea and I'm so happy I chose this place to do it.

Dr Gaines did my evaluation & she was so kind and patient and informative. Dr Ellis did my procedure & honestly in and out in ~10 ish minutes if that. Maybe 5 min lol. Recovery was very very easy. Maybe uncomfortable for 2-3 days but I just took Benadryl around the clock to sleep through those days. I was really happy with the result but over the years noticed I was having issues seeing street signs & horrible night vision. Which I always knew was a possibility so I got the lifetime warranty up front. Now come October 2025, I had some time off work & decided to get an enhancement. I can't wear contacts bc of some eye thing I forget, and I'm too active for glasses. Dr Gaines (again the sweetest person alive) recommended prk this time. Dr Ellis did my procedure again easy peasy but I will say it felt like it took longer? And a bit more pressure/uncomfortable than lasik but I didn't have Valium this time so maybe it was just in my head. It didn't hurt by any means but I think I was a bit more freaked out & in my head. Healing process sucked. Absolutely could not open my eyes for 2-3 days. Tearing up all the time. Horrible horrible. I was back to normal ish after 5 days & even then my eyes were so sensitive to light and I had to rest a lot. And everything was blurry and I won't lie I was spiraling and worried that I was going blind. I can't imagine working immediately after the procedure. I got the protective lens removed after 6th day & I'd say I was able to see everything clearly by then. But I'm two months post enhancement & im very very happy with the results. Dry eyes in the morning is real but I use ointment at night & that helps a ton. TLDR lasik in 2018, prk enhancement in 2025 (horrible recovery). doctors & staff amazing. No regrets.

In all seriousness, I am still quite shocked when I woke up this morning and I opened my eyes and they just worked. I didn't have to fumble around on my night stand trying to find my glasses. i had lens replacement for vision correction a year ago. The procedure went as planned and I am…read moregrateful to have excellent vision now. However, I did encounter an issue and I do not believe that it was handled professionally or in a way that I felt heard at all. The procedure changed the way my eye color looks. I had green eyes, and now they look more like stainless steel/gray/mirror-like and it's been a very difficult adjustment. When I called to report this after my procedure, they expected me to wait 6 weeks but when I demanded to be seen sooner, my only option was a 5:45 am appointment. I took that appointment and saw Dr. Brinton and felt very dismissed. I was told it was my perception, asked if I had previously worn colored contacts in the pictures that showed my green eyes, was told I could look into tattooing of my iris (no thank you) and I could now wear colored contacts. I had the surgery because contacts bothered my eyes so that wasn't an option. I decided to give it a year in hopes that maybe the green would come through with time but it hasn't. never once in that first year did anyone from his office contact me to check in about the issue. at my one year appt. I saw Dr. Molly. I once again tried to explain how diffucult its been to lose that part of your identity. to her credit, she listened and seemed to care. I asked her to speak with Dr. Brinton and share the update and to get back to me about any solutions to rectify the situation. I asked for a time frame and she said to give her a week or two. however, I never heard back. again, I am grateful for my vision and I did get that from the procedure, but what was taken was a part of me that had been mine for 56 years, and that is a loss that's been hard. more so than that, I was completely dismissed. I was told by Dr. Brinton that green isn't even a real eye color as it falls under the category of hazel. while that may be true medically, my drivers license says green, my family knew me with green eyes and when I look in the mirror, I no longer have green eyes. therefore, my review is mixed. honestly, if I was given even an ounce of compassion by dr. Brinton, I wouldn't even be writing this. and I'm sure there will be some kind of rebuttal to minimize my words by Brinton Vision, but I know and so do the interns that I was treated poorly in regards to my issue. it should be in the informed consent that your eye color can look different after surgery. had I known, I would have no reason to complain. proceed with caution is my advice. it was my experience that quantity is more important than quality. and my example for that is that they were able to scheduled my surgery mere days after my first appointment, but when I requested to see the doctor after my issues arose, they had no issue trying to push my appointment out over a month.

A week later I received a text that my order was ready, odd since I had not confirmed the trials worked but while near by went in to pick them up. Was told it was a duplicate message that went out by mistake. No problem, while I am here let's go ahead and order the contacts. Eight weeks later I call to see when they will be ready, told "sorry the order was never placed". Now have to wait another month, maybe two for them to arrive. Add to this my doctor was late and after 30 minutes had to see another doctor. Too much hassle for what is an above average market price point. Edit: I received a call from Dr. Dowdy and am amending my review. He reached out not to ask me to change it but to help find a satisfactory resolution to my concerns. Suffice to say we an achieved that. It's when things go sideways you have a chance to distinguish yourself. Thanks for striving to be better.

I thought everyone in the office was professional and caring from start to finish. It cost me $7,780. Dr. Gira explained the procedure and the upcoming timeline (should I choose to have the procedure) very well, answering several technical questions with concise and accurate answers. I've been told by several doctors in the past that LASIK is out of the question for my extra-sensitive eyes with thin corneas and larger-than-normal pupils. I was comfortable enough to let Dr. Gira operate on my eyes, and the outcome was outstanding. I was scheduled to arrive at 6:30 AM. My surgery was at 7:30 AM and first follow up appointment was at 1:30 PM the same day. At 1:30 PM, my eyes were a little swollen, but I could see 20/15 out of both eyes! I had no eye pain during or after the surgery. A week following the surgery, during my final follow up, the doctor attempted to further correct my visual acuity using the phoropter (big thing that goes in front of your face with lots of switchable lenses), but could not do so because it was essentially perfect. Dare I say my visual acuity is now better than I can ever remember or could have imagined. I had to put drops in my eyes (three times per day) for 4 weeks following surgery, which stung a bit for a very short time, but it's 100% worth it to be able to see so well. The outcome was so impressive, I recommended my brother have his eyes examined and fixed by Dr. Gira as well.
