I like it! What can I say I pretty much spent my Twenties frequenting this bar. In the early days it was almost impossible to get reliable service even for regulars BUT I kept coming back. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed and they have the best burrito in town IMO. For the past three or four years the service has improved exponentially and I can now say there are no annoyances to complain about. *update* someone just sent me a message 3 years later on this to call me an ass- was maybe the drunk owner? The only reason this is getting more than one star is because our waiter was good. Just after sitting down, the music changed to Jackson 5 and was turned up SO loud you couldn't hear anyone screaming next to you. People were leaving full drinks and complaining and all the servers could do was apologize for the owner being drunk and blasting music. 10pm on a hot summer, Friday night and people the place was emptied out very quickly. After about six Jackson 5 songs deafening us, we asked our waiter for the bill and our food to go. Ridiculous that the servers and customers have to suffer because the owner got so drunk. I will more than likely give it another shot since I've had good experiences at the Lake Orion location, and considering the great food. I don't think this place is very clean. The pizza is good, beer very reasonably priced but if you consider they don't wipe down the bar when you sit down, the Parmesan Cheese and red pepper flake dispensers are filthy and I realize they are usually very busy but they need to be aware of how to wipe things down. Have been going here for many years and love the food and atmosphere - especially with the newer patio area. I haven't had anything bad, but my favorite is the Italian sub. Also, the owners are very responsive to their customers. So i took my girlfriend here for the first time. Got in, and had to just flag down a waitress, when ordering the waitress had a dumb founded look, like ordering food was a something she had never done before. Good food, shitty service. Our "waitress" not only forgot food, but also had to be asked for any refill. Took her 20+ minutes just to get the check. It is too bad, because the bartender was super friendly, and very nice to us. It's a good place to come if you want to hang out with some friends and family. My mom loves the deep fried cauliflower. I really like the deep fried man n cheese. The coconut shrimp is awesome. It is up there with the rain forest cafe coconut shrimp. That's how good it is. The season fries are good too. I love coming here for lunch. read more

The food was okay and my waitress was very pleasant, but I was not fond of another waitress who seemed to be pretty inappropriate with the customers. These customers appeared to be her friends, which may have been why she didn't tell them to quiet down when they started to get loud and rowdy on a Wednesday afternoon. Stuffed breadsticks was a long giant breadstick, seems homemade, stuffed with cheese and sliced up easily sharable. Very good. Their garlic dip i wasn't crazy about. So i had marinara. The water had a taste. I can't explain it, but it was very off. Water shouldn't taste like anything. I don't know what was wrong, but it was foul. The service for me on this day was not good. My server was not helpful. It seems like they get tips from being flirty. For example, they call the customers "sugar, honey, love, baby". Is this a small town thing? (A plus is that it seems like they have regulars, and they learn their names. That's nice.) Her menu knowledge wasn't great, and she was not helpful when I let her know something i didn't like. She offered me no suggestion, just stared blankly and unsure of how to help. (This is her job.) lol It was frustrating having someone who is chatting and floating around the room but not helpful or accessible for me, as I'm here eating for lunch from work with limited time. I think service needs to understand that bar nights versus lunch time during a weekday, you need to adjust accordingly. Also, they nickel and dimed me. $.75 for the seasoning salt they sprinkled on the fries. $.75 for ranch. $.75 for honey mustard. $1.00 because i wanted pickles and onions on my burger. $.50 extra for pepper jack instead of American. Burger was chargrilled as I requested. Fries are basic crinkle cut style. "Seasoned" fries are the same fries but with seasoning salt sprinkled on them. Ranch is homemade and good. When she said, "everything is homemade" i expected the fries to be house cut and the chicken to be house breaded. It didn't meet expectation, largely due to the server, but the place isn't bad. Went there a week ago and ordered a gin and tonic. When we got the bill, there was an "upcharge to Tanqueray". I did not order a specific gin. When we questioned the upcharge, we were told that was their "well gin". Why the upcharge then??? Made absolutely no sense whatsoever and were obviously ripped off. Okay sat at the bar and had to wait for a drink because the bartender was looking at pictures on a customers phone. Ask for a menu she hands it to me with my drink then never ask want I want to order. I decide no food finish a drink get a second then a waitress slides open an outside to prop with a bucket it's 55 outside so everyone in the bar area are freezing and even after someone ask to close the door it stays open. My wife and i sat down, waited 20 minutes before a waitress even acknowledged us. The place was dead. So finally, after 45 minutes we had our food served. Not so good! It was cold, my wife found a black hair in her food(she's blonde) so, after complaining to the owner he offered us free alcoholic beverages. We don't drink! We're Christians. The machine to buy your own keno ticket took my $10.00 and it never showed a credit amount. The waitress Daniell, was disrespectful and argued with me. They are not authorized to open the machine. I was told to call Kristen who is a manager which I did. She told me she would get back with me in1-2 days. I finally called her again on the second day. No response. If the owner of these machines do not give out keys The waitress should pay me back and leave a note in the till and let the owner deal with it. I go in there quite a lot.
