The measure guy was in & out in 5 minutes and very knowledgeable about seam placement. From order to install was extremely quick, less than 7 days including around the Holidays. I requested a quote from this company to refinish flooring on my first floor and LVP on my 2nd floor. The man who came said that my flooring was engineered hardwood and could not be refinished so my only option was to cover it with new flooring which he said they could install ON TOP of the existing flooring. He did not explain to me the dangers of installing LVP over engineered hardwood, he made it seem like it was no big deal, and they do it all the time. Ten months later, my $6K flooring is coming apart right in the middle of my living room. The company said there is nothing they can do, because I installed over existing flooring, it voids the warranty. They never told me any of this. They said they could try to repair it, but I would have to pay them even more money. The salesperson absolutely did not adequately explain to me what could happen if I install LVP over existing engineered hardwood. If I knew the flooring could fail in less than a year, I would not have done it. They made it seem like they do it a lot and it would be fine. I do feel that they 100% misled me to make the sale. Of course it is my word against theirs, so I'm out of luck. I am incredibly disappointed in the product I received. Do your research before getting new flooring and make sure they're not lying to you so don't end up having to replace your flooring twice in less than a year like me. I have been repeatedly lied to by employees from this company since day one. I have had multiple employees tell me what was allegedly told to me when I ordered the floors- except these employees were not the ones I dealt with when I made my purchase, so how on earth would they know what I was told? They made up stories so they don't have to admit that they screwed me over. They tried to gaslight me. and now, my 2nd floor flooring is starting to come apart. But how can that be since I removed the old flooring, and they said that the old floor was was the reason my first floor LVP was coming apart??? The reason is because they did a terrible job on my floor. And they know they will face no consequences. They took advantage of a girl who knew nothing about flooring to make a little extra cash, and they should be ashamed of themselves. Do yourselves a favor and use a different company so you don't get taken advantage of and lose $6K like I did. read more

Ditch the big box stores that are making billions and go with a locally owned business! Owner Alex and the crew at class carpet were professional, quick and efficient. Within a week of contacting them I had 2 rooms measured, carpets picked out AND installed. Yes, one week. 7 days. Everyone I dealt with was prompt, easy to contact as there was no nonsense at all. When install day came, Roy and his team came early, worked quickly and left me pretty darn happy. While installing, they were extremely considerate by putting down of the rug on our floors so not to get the inside of the house dirty with their boots (it was a wet day). Prices were extremely reasonable, and Alex threw in super thick padding without a super thick price increase. We picked carpet from what he had in stock as I really didn't want to wait 2-3 weeks with shipping. I LITERALLY rolled around on my new carpets after they were installed. So fluffy, so nice. We was referred to Alex at Class Carpet and Floors, after researching other companies for month. Well thank goodness for recommendations and referrals. I stopped by the store to see if they even had the wood flooring that I wanted, yes they did. They had a great selection of everything from tiles, to wood floors, carpets and they even make area rugs. I was assisted by Lonny who helped me and even educated me on the difference between laminated and engineered floors. We decided to go with the engineered wood floors, I picked a few pieces out and made an appointment for an estimate. Alex came out to do the measurements he even brought the sample planks of wood that I was interested in, which made it super easy picking the right flooring. Alex also called us back later on that day to provide us with the estimate. The prices very extremely reasonable. When making the appointment for installation I spoke with Kevin, let me tell you about Kevin. Kevin was just awesome to deal with and made everything so easy. Then COVID hit and everything was put on pause, but durning COVID Kevin lepta is updated about everything and was still being provided with great customer service. He always returned my calls and even called after installation to make sure we was satisfied. Once the world started to open back up Kevin called us and we made the new appointment, and by that time we actually decided to not only to get the dining room done but also the hallway. The day the floors was installed. Two men showed up right on time. Pulled up the old carpet and began to level the surface. It took 2 days for installation. Which wasn't bad at all. They even cleaned everything up when they was done. All I can say is that the quality of the wood and installation process was amazing. The overall process from start to finish was superb I absolutely have no complaints, and already looking forward for them to come back and do my kitchen floors. Alex and his crew was great. The floors was installed beautifully. The workers even told us what floor cleaning products we should use. It was definitely a job well done. It actually took me a few months to write this review because I like to wait and see if I have any issues. And of course absolutely NO issues what so ever. I highly recommend Class Carpet to everyone. Oh and on another note. I live in Suffolk County and yes they traveled all the way out there to do a job well done. The most important part of the job is the installation and that part was amazing!! Giovanni and Christian were excellent. They did a great job. I had a botched job 9 years ago with Shells Only. And now I have a beautiful floor. I live in a Levitt home on a slab. So they needed to use concrete to level the floor. That was the only "surprise". I was ok with paying it ($75 a bag) but was advised by sales that I might need 1 or 2 bags "if necessary ". After 8 or 10 bags I was a little surprised. In the end it was a great job. I recently adopted a small dog from the Little Shelter in Huntington and after she took a tumble down the steps one day, I realized I needed a runner so that she had more traction on the steps. Shout out to Tyler and Kevin who guided me through the selection process and educated me on the various carpet types - they were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I had to write a nice review for Alex and Class Carpet. We were shopping for stair carpeting at the usual places and the prices were very high, even for remnants. I read these reviews last week, and we went to the store - it's not fancy but they carry everything they all have. He was super friendly and knowledgeable and he quoted a price on the spot just from my pictures. We had to go to Empire twice just to hear their rip-off price (they were the worst of all). We needed new flooring for three upstairs bedrooms and a stairway in a cape. After talking with friends and visiting several stores it became apparent they all have similar offerings but the installation and service was hit or miss. I visited Class Carpet because of their excellent reviews on Yelp. Alex, Lonnie, Kevin and Sima are all very knowledgeable and helpful. Alex said the quality workmanship of their installers is what sets them above others. Originally I had hoped to install wood flooring but the installer, Manny, said it was not practical without replacing all sub flooring. He was right on that point. We purchased Montauk carpet and Julio with a helper installed it and we could not be more pleased with the result. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this company. I, unfortunately, had to fly up to NY for a medical emergency with my 90 year old mother who still lives in the same house I grew up in in Westbury, NY.
