Beautiful historic cafe with local art hanging right in the heart of Malvern. Pork tenderloin sandwich was delicious and cooked to perfection. Very fun and friendly staff. Stop in and enjoy something yummy ‼

Really good food and service with a classic, small town charm. We started with the night's appetizer special of artichoke dip. It was really good and came with toasted pita, marbled rye and thin tortilla chips, which all paired really well with the dip. For dinner my husband had the Kansas City Burger and I had the pan seared walleye. We enjoyed our meal and the short afternoon drive.

Friendly staff and amazing food! It was so busy for such a small town, that was a surprise for sure!

Another Saturday country drive to Malvern and this time we tried Classic Cafe for lunch. We had the bacon cheeseburger and the mushroom Swiss burger, with sweet potato fries. Definitely the best burgers we've had for some time. The staff was great and the restrooms are actually inside the building! Now that my favorite model train shop is across the street, Classic Cafe will be our go-to lunch spot whenever we're in Malvern.

I ordered the crispy buffalo chicken salad and mashed potatoes and they were both delicious! The homemade ranch was a perfect pair with the spicy buffalo sauce. Mixed greens were fresh and the fried breading on the chicken was perfectly crisp. This place is going to get insane amounts of business after Andrew Yang passes the Freedom Dividend!

When I visit my parents in Iowa I'm always searching for new cafes or restaurants to try. One rainy day in December my husband and I decided to take my mom for a bit of a drive to Malvern, IA to try a place we found on Facebook called Classic Cafe. I had ridden my bike through Malvern a couple of months earlier, since I was on the Trace, and remembered that Malvern's downtown was really cute and there were a couple of cool restaurants I hadn't tried. So we made the 30-mile trip in the fog and we were not disappointed! First of all, the atmosphere is is so rustic-cozy-cool. We were there right after Christmas, so there was a Christmas tree in the window, and the little seating area up front was adorable and the booths inside this spacious restaurant were so cozy. And right off the bat the owner was warm and welcoming. She even told us we were a nice-smelling party/group! My mother and I ordered a Chicken Fried Steak to split for lunch, which I would normally never order. But it was absolutely delicious. PLUS, the owner/cook split it and served it on two plates free of charge. The portions were extremely generous. Oh, and the mashed potatoes were out of this world delicious, and you can trust me on this because I am a huge fan of mashed potatoes. The prices are extremely reasonable considering the portions are generous. The service is great, and I love that it's a family-owned and operated joint in small town Iowa. I will always bring my money to these places instead of large chain restaurants where a smaller portion of the money goes back to the town/state. I plan on returning to Classic Cafe when we're in town next! I wish this business the best of luck!

Classic Rueben w/fries and pickle, minus one bite. AMAZING

The decor was entertaining for my little one and he loved how everyone's coffee mug was different. His grandpa had Mario and Luigi. Perfect little diner for family and friends. The service was great and the servers were very attentive. My 5 year ols son asked why they kept asking if we wanted coffee every couple of mins. Lol. Def will stop here again if we ever find ourselves in Glenwood.

I usually order the massive pork tenderloin but this time I decided to switch it up and order the Hot Beef with Hashbrowns, and I'm glad I did. The beef was flavorful. The gravy was good, and the hasbrowns were crispy, even under the gravy. The food was all really good, especially for $11. The interior could use some updating. Minor duct tape on some of the seats, but that doesn't detour me from going. This place is one of me and my Dad's favorite places to eat and we come out to the Dew Drop Inn once every couple months or so. A great bar/restaurant in a nice, small town. We ordered fried corn fritters and gizzards for an appetizer. They were both amazing. I had the tenderloin sandwich and my wife had a cheeseburger. The tenderloin was massive and tender but what I liked the most is that the tenderloin was still thick and the breading wasn't overwhelming like some places. Anyone can pound a tenderloin flat, fry it, and make it look huge but dew drop hit the mark with this one. The burger was amazing too. They use fresh never frozen beef and it was a simply great cheeseburger. Beer was cold and cheap and the atmosphere was perfect for a small town restaurant. The bar is on one side with seating and TVs and the other side has tons of seating, arcade games, and the wall is lined with old vinyl records making for an awesome vibe. We'll definitely be back! One thing to note is credit cards get an extra 4% charge but I didn't mind since it's a small local establishment I totally understand. Prices are also super reasonable. Please check it out for yourself. You won't regret it!
