The employees were kind as was everyone in line, which was very relaxed yet orderly. I made an initial list after seeing the menu online and some last minute substitutions when I saw the items visually. Gruyere and calabrian chili bread - The bread is amazing and still a little warm at 8:45/9 AM. The texture, taste, and flavors were perfect. A great crunch with an airy inside. The flavors complemented one another perfectly. Highly recommend getting bread. Blueberry scone - I had the peach scone on my list but this flavor was a last minute sub. It was jam packed with blueberries with a sweet glaze on top. Super freshly baked texture. Pistachio chocolate morning bun - Amazing. Nice, flaky layers. Filled with delicious chocolate chips and pistachios with a delicious chocolate sort of glaze on top. Raspberry chocolate chip brioche twist - Great flavor with raspberry jam and chocolate sort of like the innards of a choc croissant. It tasted a tiny bit dry while I usually prefer a doughier bake. Giant though! Blondie - Last minute substitution! Really yummy with chocolate chips and butterscotch chips and varied texture. The middle was yummy dough-y while the outside was more baked. Pecan stresual coffee cake - The topping was amazing as was the inner layer which felt sort of like pecan pie. I would have liked a tiny bit more moisture in the actual cake. There's decent dog entertainment in line. Meaning dogs to entertain humans, and some employees even hand out dog treats. Ravioli the doggo (shout out if you are reading this, even though the chances are low). When I left the line looked about equivalently long as when I arrived. Overall amazing and don't sleep on the bread!! Worth waiting in line.

I finally had some some time while in the area and made sure to visit. I was not prepared for the sheer volume of GF items! It is not the largest bakery, but that doesn't matter when the variety of pastries and sweets are as high caliber as this! I had some questions about items, and the staff was super friendly and answered them for me. I had the hardest time deciding what to get. I had to go with something simple and comforting. I chose the pull apart cinnamon roll. It was everything I dreamed that it would be. Soft, fluffy, cinnamony, and coated with cream cheese frosting. Paired with a vanilla latte, it was the absolute highlight of my week. There are some indoor low tables and high top tables if you would like to sit inside. A couple of tables outside are available as well. I've had a favorite coffee shop in Truckee already, but I think this one will be my new recommendation.

Stopped in here to get coffee and breakfast before going out on the boat all day. I had planned on…read moregetting a breakfast sandwich and one of their specialty coffee drinks, but the line was so long and it would've taken so much longer to wait for those things that by the time I got to the front after waiting 25 minutes or so I just ordered things that I could take and run out the door with. The drip coffee was OK, not the best coffee I've ever had but the pastries were really good. We tried a veggie frittata, a maple bar, an iced lemon cookie, an iced oatmeal raisin cookie, and their yogurt parfait with fresh fruit. The doughnut was ridiculously good. The cookies were fantastic. The yogurt parfait was delicious with fresh homemade granola and peak of the season peaches and berries. My buddy said the frittata was excellent as well. So just a couple notes: there's only one person taking orders so the line moves very, very slow. If you are waiting in line, plan your order ahead of time so that when you get up to the front, you're not one of the idiot tourists standing there being a jackass, making it longer for everybody else because they didn't pay attention to the menu board or the pastry case before they got up to the front. That was the most irritating thing about this experience. One group had to bring their whole six kids in (even though they didn't let them order anything) they were just in the way and the people right after them did not plan and took forever to order. So be cognizant of other people around you and pay attention. It will make the entire line move faster. Plenty of seating out front, but not a ton of parking. Planning to try and go back and try some more pastries before I leave this week.

We were even fortunate enough to catch some open seating in the front while waiting on our order. I got the breakfast sandwich on croissant and I wasn't expecting this golden panini pressed crispy flaky sandwich. It was awesome! My husband got the burrito it was good but my flaky croissant is over the top delicious! I did like their pistachio donut but the girl ringing up our order recommended me their cronut and I'm so glad she did! I was blown away by it and it wasn't something I would have picked for myself so a big thank you to her! On the way out a caramel brownie caught my eye I missed the first glance I will be back for it!

We decided to walk around the other shops instead, and as we were walking we both looked at each other and said, "Do you smell cinnamon rolls?" The amazing smell led us right into the bakery. We ordered a cinnamon roll to go because we were still full, and the staff suggested warming it up for about 40 seconds when we were ready to eat it. That was the perfect recommendation! Once I got home and warmed it up, it was absolutely delicious. The roll was soft and fresh, and the frosting wasn't overly sweet--it had the perfect balance. My only regret is that I didn't buy more! We'll definitely be stopping by again.

I have been wanting to write this review for about a year, but I kept holding back because I did…read morenot want to negatively impact the cafe's rating. Unfortunately, the experience has continued to get worse, and I keep noticing the same problems every time I visit. At this point, I am seriously considering taking my business elsewhere. The problems are not one-off incidents. They are recurring issues that, in my opinion, show a lack of attention to basic cleanliness, consistency, customer experience, and investment in the business. I am being very specific because I genuinely hope the owners read our negative feedback and actually do something about it. 1. The bathroom is consistently disgusting. The bathroom is almost always a mess (see photos). I have repeatedly seen feces left on the toilet, stains all over the floor and sink, and missing toilet paper or paper towels. This is not an occasional bad/busy day, it has become a pattern for several days in a row. There are several employees working there, and the owners are frequently present, so it is hard to understand how something as basic as keeping the customer bathroom clean is continually overlooked. If the bathroom that customers can see is consistently this poorly maintained, it naturally makes me question the level of cleanliness and attention to detail behind the scenes as well. 2. The temperature inside is uncomfortable year-round. During the summer, it is ridiculously hot inside. They rely on loud fans instead of investing in an AC to cool the space, which makes it hot and noisy. Then, during the winter, it is the opposite, the cafe is cold. After coming here for years, I have seen this issue repeatedly.  3. They are constantly out of basic inventory. They are frequently out of basic items such as honey, raw sugar, and other staples. What is even more frustrating is that these items can remain unavailable for weeks, sometimes with no clear indication of when they will be restocked. They are not in their year 3+ operation so they have data and should plan better. 4. The staff turnover appears high. There always seems to be a new employee, and the constant turnover of good employees gives the impression that something is not working internally. 5. The cafe is repeatedly used as a storage/construction space. There always seems to be some kind of remodeling, repair, or construction project happening, and construction materials or equipment are left sitting in a corner for extended periods. 6. The food and beverage quality does not justify the prices. For a bakery, I find the quality surprisingly disappointing, especially considering the prices. The croissants, in particular, do not even look like proper croissants. I have had better-looking croissants from Costco than from a specialty bakery, charging premium prices. And some of their pastries are served on tiny "paper" plates!! I have also discussed the cakes with multiple friends who have had similar experiences: they are expensive, yet they often seem less than fresh. When you are charging premium prices, customers should be able to expect premium quality and freshness. The coffee is another consistency problem. My Caramel latte tastes different almost every time I order one (different temperature, sweetness, milk-to-espresso ratio, etc.) depending on who makes it. There seems to be no consistent standard.  Overall: After repeated visits, my impression is that the business seems much more focused on cutting costs than on investing in quality, consistency, the customer experience, or its employees. I have given this place plenty of chances because I wanted to support a local cafe, but at this point, I don't feel that the experience is worth the money. Unless these issues are addressed seriously, I will be taking my business elsewhere.  They are already so slow compared to the other coffee shops, and if there were more competition in town, they would either have to close down or make a major shift in their quality and service. Their winning card seems to be the lack of competition in a small, touristy town. They know customers don't have many alternatives, so there isn't much pressure on them to improve. And as you can see they didn't even take time to reply to any of the yelp or Google reviews and that means they don't really care.

I hadn't read the reviews before ordering, as I was frantic in trying to find a bakery that could do a small custom cake less than 24 hours before my Mother-in-Law's birthday. I was desperate and willing to take anything, and Leigh Anne was very sweet and patient with me on the phone. We settled on the Carrot L-Orange cake (heavenly). I forget the exact size, but I remember she said it would feed ~6 people which was perfect, and truly it could have fed up to 12+ people as that's how many servings we got out of it. That cake was tall, flavor-packed, and very rich. The complimentary carrot, nutmeg, and orange flavors had a warm spice that had me questioning why it had been over a decade since I last had carrot cake! It is criminally underrated in my peer group, or at least it was until we had this one. You know you've got a great recipe when even the folks who 'don't want any cake/don't like sweets' start eyeing it to make sure there's some left for them to try, and especially when they ask if they can take a to-go slice back home because they know someone who just HAS to try it. Thank you again for the beautiful, scrumptious, Delicious Design!
