Took my son's '65 Mustang here after several other shops said they couldn't do the front windshield replacement; our car's was badly pitted such that you could barely see at night. On the phone, Best Price said they had done about 100 vintage Mustangs and quoted an extremely reasonable price. When I showed up, a few days later in the early morning, I almost couldn't believe I was at the right place. The shop is essentially a shack on a dirt lot (low overhead!). They located the windshield they had ordered (and had an impressive stock in the back), but the gasket wasn't in. I was able to leave the car while they got the part the same day, and pick it up later in the afternoon. The owner was courteous - no paperwork for the estimate, just a verbal confirming the phone quote. At pickup, everything looked installed well, with a decent fitment. I've seen how hard this is on YouTube, and it's no joke; there's a gasket, clips, chrome trim molding, sealant, etc. Transaction was quick and owner said to bring it back if there were any issues, leaks, etc. When I got home, I noticed part of the gasket on the inside driver's corner was rolled out a bit and not flush, then there was some residual sealant on the inside gasket, as well as drips on the (brand new) dash pad. The stuff is like tar. Took about 20 minutes to roll in the gasket and clean-up the sealant, and then looked perfect. For the price and the fact that they could even do it, I'm very satisfied. I would have paid a little more for a perfectly clean job, but can't complain given the difficulty of the job and unique fit that a vintage car presents. read more

A rock hit my 2019 Subaru Forester and the crack started spreading quickly. I called Best Price while I was in town and they were able to get me a replacement windshield and appointment the next day. The next morning I called to check what glass brand I would get and they were even able to shift and order me an OEM part the day of. Not only that, once the OEM part was ordered, they received my insurance info and let me know that the OEM wasn't covered and were gracious to adjust back to the after market glass for me. Whether I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, I had bad karma from cutting someone off on the road, or I had too long of a stretch of good luck, I finally experienced a shattered windshield on my car. Unlike most people who are familiar with this process, I was freaking out and didn't know where to turn or what to do. Picture this: Driving in the fast lane on southbound 101, a pebble comes out of no where and all you hear is "CRACK!" Next thing you know, your windshield has broken glass right in your visual field. There was no one in front of me and no overpass bridge above me, so it had to have hopped over the median... I returned home disoriented and stressed, did research on my AAA deductible and found myself looking up those covered businesses on Yelp. Stop 1: Top Shop Automotive (4 solid stars)-Spoke to the owner Willie at the front desk who literally said, "Go to the best and cheapest glass expert in town at Best Price Auto Glass down the road," as he hands me the card. Man of little words but knows his stuff. Stop 2: I wanted a second estimate so I swung by Erik Krebs Automotive (another 4 solid stars). Eric comes out, takes a peek and said "I'd have to charge you over $600 to replace that specific windshield. Your best bet would be to go to Best Price. Ask for Tony." Hands me the same card as the first auto shop. Stop 3: I finally believed these two top rated shops and went to Best Price Auto Glass and asked for Tony, a fine, short-spoken Lebanese fella with greasy hands after a busy day. He looked at my windshield, glanced at me and said, "Yikes! Before I do anything, check with my buddy Alfonso down the street to make sure it's not reparable before I make you a quote to replace the entire windshield." Stop 4: Alfonso told me straight up that he could prevent the crack from spreading and fill it in for $45, but if I'm obsessive in any way like he is, return to Tony at Best Price Auto Glass because it would be worth a full replacement. Stop 4.5: I took everyone work and went to Tony at Best Price Auto Glass. It took him 3 questions, a phone call and he said the replacement window shield would be in tomorrow at 1:30 pm. Quote: $275 plus tax (my deductible $250). I called at 1 pm the next day, dropped my car off at 1:30 pm and my car had a new sparkling windshield by 2:30 pm! Best Auto Glass is truly THE BEST! They've been there 22 years as a husband and wife shop and the only thing that has changed are the car windshields. From the minute I drove up due to the appearance, I thought I may leave with glass in my tire or no car at all. Now I regret thinking that way! Don't judge a book by its cover! For windshield replacement newbies like myself, trust the pros. The wife calmed my nerves by explaining that all their glass is tested and brand new (not reused). Also, leave the blue tape in place and do not wash your car for two days afterwards. My windshield was cracked and totally ruined. I was in a hurry as the crack was rapidly spreading. I called around for other glass places and got a high price. After a local friend heard of my situation I was given this companies info and it was smooth from then on. I saved several hundred dollars. I didn't have to wait from 1-6 on a Monday for another company to come fix the windshield. The receptionist was super kind. I was running late because of traffic. They all stayed after closing and didn't charge me extra. The man (Fernando?) replaced my windshield and pointed out some rust which he said not to worry that he was going to sand it and place primer & protective products on that part. I was in and out quickly!! It was so short under an hour and my windshield looks great!!! My car is clean I had read othe reviews sayi g car was left worh debris but mine was not. They hand washed the new windshield and I am able to remove tape today and wash car tomorrow. I would recommend this shop to anyone!!
