We contacted ABS glass to set up an appointment for them the come out and provide a quote for replacing our home windows. We were scheduled and confirmed for Friday morning at 8, which I wasn't thrilled about getting up early for, but non-the-less committed to. 8:15 came, then 8:30, then 9...and he never showed. Immediate negative impression of this company, and then Jo follow through after so I had to reach out to let them know no one ever came. We are property managers and needed the dual paned glass replaced on a small window. We contacted ABS glass to ask if they charge for measuring. Joanna (I believe that was her name) said there is no charge for measuring. When we received the quote, it was for $945 which included a $150 measuring fee. We contacted the store again to complain about the price as well as the measuring fee, and were then told there is no measuring fee "if our company does the installation". They simply had omitted that last part. We asked to speak to a manager and Rosia (not sure of her name) said that if we didn't want to pay the measuring fee, we could take our business elsewhere. In addition, the quote for a small window was insane! We contacted their competitors, A&B glass. They were very courteous, and the price was $345 for the exact same double paned glass. We sent an email to the owner of ABS to let him know what transpired, but no one bothered to answer. If you want to be lied to, be treated obnoxiously, and pay triple the price, we highly recommend you do business with ABS glass! read more

After a nightmare experience with a couch delivery that broke my kitchen window I called ABS Glass. They were able to send a technician the same day. When Cecilio arrived he was so polite and kind with his approach when presenting my options and costs. It was clear he wasn't there to upsell, but just wanted to do whatever I was comfortable with. They are pretending it's necessary to charge me a restocking fee of 125.00 when my service isn't even for days from now. They are lying, my glass hasn't even been pulled from a shelf yet. I wish this company would stick to what they can do best: shower doors! We ordered them to do a glass backsplash in our kitchen in Santa Barbara 2nd home and boy you should see what they did! Instead of one piece if slick glass backsplash they installed smaller panels of beveled glass with huge gaps in between the panels (because of the glass being beveled) also they left a large gap and started the backsplash few inches under the cabinets. It probably would look ok if they did not put the backsplash on the dirty wall. We tried to reason with them and tried to explain that the backsplash is non functional they way it is installed and plain ugly but they would not give us new backsplash nor money back. Our contractor inspected the wall next to the sink and found some mold - because the backsplash was not sealed and the water was coming down the wall. We had to replace it completely only after 6 months of use. We decided to go with the different material for backsplash even though we really wanted glass but we did not trust this company and we could not get our guy in LA to go to Santa Barbara with huge pieces of glass. When we started removing the glass of the walls we realized that they put glass on the panel that was separating the fridge from the cabinets!!! How stupid! We had no choice but cover those panel with new stone or replace the panel completely! Save yourself some $$$ and nerves and go somewhere else for glass backsplash. You will regret dealing with these unreasonable people just like we did. Also remember: if something goes wrong this people will not help you! You are on your own! read more

After Milgard installed my trumped up custom ESSENCE SERIES patio door...two doors will not close. They sent me an email saying..."Hi Nancy, thank you for requesting Milgard's services. A representative will contact you within 24 hours to schedule an appointment with our technicians". I NEVER contact them for services. I demanded they do the door over, do it right or refund my money so I can move on with anther company. They didn't like that at all and from that point on things went sour and very aggressive. Their middleman and Milgard have my downpayment and told me to expense my mistakes since I refused their services. They refused to acknowledge the woodwork on their Essence Series is a joke, the swing wasn't what I had agreed to with their middleman as it's clearly not functional and impossible to fix as it's one unit. The doorhandles and hinges color and style wasn't what I picked out, removing it will leave more markings and scratches on top of dings and dents. The doors will not close properly if/when new hinges are install. The stain job is horrific, clearly not done by a professional licensed stainer. read more

I would give this place 10 stars if I could! Do not waste your time and money going anywhere else, as this place should be your first and only stop! First of all, the customer service is unparalleled. I was super lucky to get to work with Joanna who is nothing short of amazing - she fixed literally everything the previous repair place botched. I initially went to a different place to get my windshield replaced as there was a crack. My insurance company denied a claim for BMW OEM glass as it is more expensive, and approved only after market glass; I was fine with this as the previous place told me the glass would be identical, but immediately after installation I noticed the after market glass had a unsafe glares, was distractedly reflective, and did not support my car's technology, such as the HUD. I contacted my insurance company, and after hours of going back and forth, they still adamantly refused to allow my glass to be reinstalled using OEM (which makes a huge difference in my case). Thinking I would have to pay the nearly $1700 out of pocket cost, I contacted ABS to reinstall. Joanna got on the phone with my insurance company, and convinced them to change their minds and pay to remove my glass, and reinstall with BMW OEM glass. I don't know how she did it - I am so impressed! And to add: I was informed the prior installer broke the clips that hold all the wiring attached to the rear view mirror, causing part of it to hang down. Joanna then contacted my insurance company to get that damage claim approved, and ordered the part for ABS to install. Joanna even offered to contact the dealership to coordinate an appointment for me to get my car re-calibrated. Joanna is so professional, smart, and kind - all the staff there have been really great to work with. They work hard to advocate for you, and my car was done early. They are honest, upfront, and do a fantastic job. My car performs much better now, and I am so grateful for ABS. read more

Bad to worst to horrible experience trying to work with this glass company, especially working with Rosio, one of the estimate person. When I called she quoted me a price of $280 to repair my shower glass door. Pictures sent per her request.. Two technicians came out and before trying to fix the problem, I showed them my shower door was able to opened partially when pulled, however it wouldn't open fully this is why they are here to fix. After trying to fix it, they gave up and wanted more money and said the glass door needed to be re-install? and quoted $600 plus to do the job. it I said " NO" and just put it back how you found it. They didn't at first and started to blame on the framing of the door was done incorrectly by my contractor whom installed it back in October 2022. They then tried to leave the job without putting my door how they founded and instead makes the glass door completely stuck to the frame and left it the way the glass door could fall and shatter and potentially causes major accident to my family with 2 young kids. I called Rosio to explain they need to put it back how they founded and I will hire someone else to do the job. She hung up the phone on me/customers. I was mad when she did this. Please do not work with this unreasonable lady at ABS glass. I will file a formal complaint to BBB about my experience working with this company today. read more

The only problem, we had to reschedule the work date twice (not cuz of anything I did) which was a little frustrating but the wait was worth it. ABS glass replaced three front glass tinted windows in my older home. Working on older homes has its challenges and mine was no exception! This was a difficult installation given the condition of the frame and probably I should have completely removed the entire frame break open the front stucco wall, inside and out and add a three piece framed window with attached flashing installed. The cost to do this would have been four times the amount. The scheduling, front office, and installation problems were meet with tenaciousness until all problems were addressed. This is one of the most frustrating companies to work with from a customer service level. The quality of the work is good, so to be fair I gave them 2 stars, but my job is still not complete and it took several calls to get them to come out and finish the siding on the outside of the window. The owner is very nice but his staff are either rude, not very professional, or promise they will be there but don't arrive. Took 6 calls and several missed appointments to finally get them to finish most of the work and I'll, be calling a different company to finish the rest. My poor car took a foul ball through the back window! He was completely understood the urgency of me trying to get my back window replaced and got me in within a day!! He completely understood that I needed to get in and out as quickly as possible and was even patient wirin the fact that I was late getting my car in there and I am forever grateful for that and for his quality of service! My car was ready as promised, even with my delay in getting it to them and that is absolutely incredible! Now, here comes the extra level of service that they provided. A few months ago I had a broken window on my car. I went to the dealership and was quoted a price that I couldn't afford. Naturally, with some clear packing tape framed with duct tape I drove around town with a broken side window. Well, I asked around town where to go & everyone kept telling me to go see Howard @ ABS glass. I check out his website & contacted him via email explaining my situation. Less than 24 hours & I had a response. That week on my way to work I stopped by his office & was greeted with a friendly smile & showed him my taped window. He told me not to worry. This is very bad company. This company is irresponsible company. My window glass was changed in August at ABS. I don't think they have good service. First, I bought the glass and make a appointment to them, but when I come to there to fix my car. They told me I can't fix because they received wrong glasses, so I had to make appointment again and come to there again. Second, I don't think the glasses quality is good because my glasses broken in September, but it was not big. So when I came to there to fix my glasses, it was complete broken by the ABS worker. That day is so hot, I asked them to wait my glasses become clod to fix, but they don't listen. After they just said it broke, you need pay money buy a new one.
