Seven years later and we have stains around the faucet and handles and the part of the caulking is coming off. Shoddy work from the beginning which is too bad as we're hoping to add on a second full bath to the house. We'll definitely be using another company. read more

Was passing through town and stopped by the store to look at tiles. Sylvia was extremely helpful and enthusiastic. Had lots of recommendations and helped me figure out how to design the tiles for my fireplace surround. I didn't purchase anything from the store because they didn't end up having the exact tiles I needed. But if the store was closer to where I live I would 100% go back to have her help me with ideas and purchase the other things I need. 10/10 recommend!! read more

Ghosted! Extremely unprofessional. What a strange and bizarre experience. We were wanting a kitchen and master bathroom remodel. Went to the showroom on Feb. 13. Looked at countertops, sinks, etc., and arranged for their design consultant to come to the house for measurements on Feb. 14. Right on time, she arrived, spent about an hour, took measurements and we discussed various options and materials. We let her "borrow" one of our tiles that we intend to use in the shower so that she could find a suitable accent color. She left, with our tile, and said we would have an estimate "in a couple of days". A couple of days go by... nothing. A couple of weeks go by... nothing. A month goes by... nothing. At this point we have hired a PROFESSIONAL contractor for our remodel and are wondering if this place has gone out of business, or what? And they still have my tile! We tried to wait them out but they won. We've been ghosted and I want my tile back. After 50 days, on April 5, we go to the showroom to get our tile back. Not a word was said. No apology, no explanation, just timidly handed me back my tile and that was it. There is no way in the world I would ever do business with an outfit as unprofessional as this one. I can't begin to imagine the frustrations I would have had if I had hired them. Thank you for ghosting me. read more

Before you enter, sign in door says "your health is your responsibility" (good to know that they don't care about their fellow citizens). Not one employee was wearing a mask. Then, as you leave, there's a table right by the exit with a petition to recall Gavin Newsom. People should be able to shop without shopping being politicized. read more

I've seen a huge difference in Classic Design from several years ago. Impressive changes. I used them for a significant quantity of Fabrica carpet purchases and Dixie Area Rugs (Bling). Very pleased with their pricing (I shopped) and help with my selections. I used Gwen (mostly) and Carmen on the design along with Kayla, Ryan and Sandra on the carpet and administration. Most pleased with their carpet installers headed up by Roy. They did a wonderful job on the install. I think they have like 35+ years of experience. Where do I begin. I had the most shocking horrible experience I could ever imagine with Marla, one of the designers. I went to Hollister with my daughter and her husband to go over their upgrades on the new house they purchased. They arrived a few minutes before I did so I knocked on the door. Marla cracked the door open a few inches and said I can't come in and slammed the door in my face. I returned to the Sales office and told the Salesperson that I was denied access and my daughter wanted me in the meeting to observe and be there. Once I was allowed in Marla in a very aggressive manor told me I was rude and a bully didn't appreciate what I did. She told me she wasn't on commission and she didn't have time for this. Shocked but wanting my daughter to finish her upgrades I agreed to sit down and be quite. She grabbed me a chair and stuck her finger inches from my face and told me I was to sit down and shut up. I agreed. At some point I stood up to look over my daughter's shoulder to get a better look at the samples and she sternly said " I guess you don't listen very well, do you? I told you to sit down and be quiet" I have NEVER EVER been spoken to or treated so poorly in my entire life. She completely ruined what should have been a wonderful experience for my daughter and her husband. I cannot believe that Classic Design has someone like this working for them. People like her should not be involved in the customer service industry and I hope you reconsider her as your employee. She is a horrible reflection on your business. I am going to be contacting the builder to file a formal complaint and my daughter now wants to back out of the house deal. There are plenty of other houses available in the same neighborhood. read more

We contracted with Classic to install carpet on stairs, lay floor tile and install a new kitchen island. Our initial contact was with designer Olga. She quickly saw my vision and I enjoyed working with her with the design and choices of color and material. Our project was scheduled to take 2 weeks and to be completed towards the end of February. What appeared to get off to a great start soon turned into one issue followed by another. This two week project finally was completed the first part of May. The biggest problem this company has is not paying attention to the details and a lack of communication between their staff and their subs. We did end finally end up with a beautiful Decora cherrywood island with a Cambria quartz countertop. I've been around remodeling my entire life and I know that issues always comes up to deal with. However, there is no excuse for the non communications between staff and subs and the lack of not paying attention to the details. The following are a sample of the issues: - 4 out of the 5 cabinets came in wrong. The depth was wrong on 2 cabinets, we were putting in a farm sink and the wrong base was ordered (lack of communication between the designer and the owner who ordered the cabinet) and a wrong configuration- we didn't want the drawers under the counter top overhang we just wanted the doors. We did end up keeping that cabinet- but it wasn't what we ordered. It took another 3 weeks to get the three cabinets shipped only to find out that the bookcase end wasn't properly finished which was Decora's fault. Also at this time we determined that Olga's suggestion of a 7" counter overhang was actually going to turn out to be 4" which really isn't sufficient to sit at the counter to eat. This required some creative thinking for a solution. Rudy who is fantastic, came up a fix which we were happy with. However, again more materials had to be ordered. This took longer because we were told the shipment was lost. - The sub came to lay tile in kitchen, butlers pantry, powder room and laundry room. We wanted it level with the 5/8" hardwood floor that was going down. We had told the designer Olga that we wanted the tile layed in a certain pattern. Guess what? The sub wasn't informed which was an issue for him as it took more cuts and more material. Luckily for us he wanted to make us happy and there was enough tile. However when the project manager Dawn came out to mark the tile line to align with the edge of where the base cabinet was to be placed it ended up being off by a couple of inches which is an imperfection we have to live with. We wanted to wait to have the tile installed after the cabinets were in place but we were assured that it would work out. Hmmmm right. -the sub who installed the cabinets had some issues: When he cut the holes at the bottom of the cabinet he didn't allow enough clearance for the plumbing which then created more work for the plumber. Also he wasn't contracted to install the farm sink and come to find out no one was and when the quartz sub came out to template he couldn't because the farm sink hadn't been installed. Attention to detail! This now created another week delay. Rudy and the owner Ron installed the sink. Way too many details and communications were missed which created long delays, more work and frustration. -They did communicate to the carpet layer that I wanted a French cap on the stairs. Hurrah! Or was that just a coincidence? We will not recommend Classic to anyone. read more

Bookcases finally done- started project on Oct 21,2014 and after many delays it's finished. Love the look. Subcontractors ie Rudy Arvizu, Kristina Robinson and Tony Canton were marvelous. Bad thing was it took way too long; claimed items got lost and not ordered correctly. Maybe best to stick to Kitchens and Bath only. They did our guest bathroom and it was done efficiently and effectively without the hassles. read more

I have mixed feelings about this shop. The staff is friendly and helpful and I had a good experience with flooring I had ordered. However, I then tried to use them for kitchen cabinets, which was a mistake. The suppliers they work with are unreliable and costly. They need to work with other vendors. They want a deposit upfront, which is fine I suppose as they do spend a lot of time. However, two months after I paid a $1,500 deposit, I still did not have a design I was satisfied with. They should not charge deposits for unreliable service. They told me they could modify some drawer sizes I had wanted, however that proved to be untrue. I told them what they were proposing was unacceptable to me, and yet almost two weeks later they had done nothing about it. After two months, the lead time for cabinets went from 6 weeks to 12-13 weeks. I finally decided to stop wasting time and go elsewhere, and I lost my deposit. I had quotes from two fully custom cabinet shops that were as much or lower in cost than Classic Design was (although they were frameless cabinets instead of framed that Classic Design has, but fully custom instead of just semi-custom). I know covid has increased demand and increased lead time on supplies, but there's still better options out there for cabinets. Stick to flooring and items they can check if they are in stock. read more

We now have a stunning kitchen and laundry room thanks to Classic Design and their fantastic sub-contractors. Even though it wasn't a smooth transition by any means, due to delays caused from incorrect ordering of cabinets, the final product resulted in a kitchen that went from blah to beautiful and a laundry room that is both functional and gorgeous. It was great working with Dawn, the Project Manager, Gwen, our Design Consultant, and each and every sub-contractor from the demo crew to the cleaning crew; Oscar, Rudy, Rob, Marcos, Kristina, and all of their employees are professional and thorough in their respective trades. While we definitely recommend Classic Design, be prepared for delays - but know that at the end of the project you will be thrilled! read more

Classic Design has been wonderful to work with! They took the blueprints and design from our arch. and made our dreams a reality. Along the way, common sense suggestions were made, follow up was timely and the permitting process went smoothly. The staff, from sub-contractors on up were really great. It is the first commercial project in which I have not had to clean up after each stage of construction. In fact, Classic Design had a crew in to clean and polish everything upon completion. I need to make a correction regarding my prior YELP. I had LVT not Laminate installed in my home. Gorgeous. I went to Classic Design and again worked with Carmen. What a doll. I told her I think we need Back Splash. (We have a quite large home and it just needs a few updates) She took the time to come to our home and brought the most beautiful boards to choose from. I asked Carmen...What do you like and she chose the Ceramic Art (Carmen is the brand also) :) The 2 young men that installed the back splash were the most professional contractors I have ever met. Nick and Issac. They were also so very nice. The job they did is flawless. They were just awesome in every way. The back splash is absolutely stunning. I was in tears of joy when I arrived home. I cannot thank Carmen and Classic Design and Nick and Issac enough. Carmen has such an eye for always choosing the most beautiful items. Our home looks so lovely and I appreciate the time they take in making our home so lovely. It looks so updated and fresh and again just lovely. Thank you so much Carmen and Classic Design. Classic Design floor to ceiling was the answer. From walking in meeting our kitchen designer Gwen( who is absolutely fabulous to having the owner Ron come to the house. The project manager is dawn and from the get go very informative keep us on the ball and helped subs stay on track. The subs were wonderful. Just to name a few Tony the painter to Rudy, Oscar, Kristina all also the flooring installers. Thank you so much. All we can say is WOW! Boy they really know there job and love doing it. Day one they tore old kitchen all in one day. Worked very quick and efficiently. From there one thing followed another. They put temporary sink in for us which worked out well for us family of five. Believe me going without a kitchen for about 3 weeks or so could be pretty stressful. Again the staff with classic made everything much more bearable and easier to deal with. We would definately recommend this company to anyone who is looking for professionalism. Job complete husband and I are very pleased and will be contacting company again to do our bathrooms next. We have another construction project going on concurrently with another business and Classic Design FTC shines in comparison. Amanda is a great designer, she worked with our existing cabinetry to make it coordinate with new LVP flooring , quartz counters and tile backsplash allong with some new fixtures. I'm so pleased. Dave is a great project coordinator. He was on site every day to check progress. Answer questions and deliver materials. Roy and crew did a great job removing two layers of subfloor and vinyl each with minimum damage done to the walls. They worked so hard at install too. We wanted a border around the edge of the room per Amanda's design and it's beautiful. We are pleased and friends are impressed. Rudy , Oscar, and Kristina do their jobs incredibly well and super fast too.The bonus is that everyone is so nice and fun to work with. I will look forward to working with this crew again read more
